The next day, Chen Ze got up exceptionally late, probably because he had overexerted himself the day before, so he slept soundly and didn’t wake up until eleven o’clock.

"Ah... I’m still so sleepy." Chen Ze stood in the bathroom, yawned, and then grabbed a towel to wipe his face with cold water.

The icy water snapped Chen Ze to alertness quite a bit; he had to admit, sleeping too long wasn’t a good thing. The longer you sleep, the groggier you feel, and then you want to sleep even more, leading to a vicious cycle.

So, normally, as soon as Chen Ze woke up, he would get up; otherwise, he’d sleep into the afternoon.

"Let me think, I should go to the mutton wholesale market later to buy some sheep offal; after all, I still plan to make that minced mutton stomach dish," said Chen Ze as he changed his clothes and then grabbed his keys to go downstairs and out the small door.

"Hey, did you hear? Last night there were two thieves, and then somehow, they went crazy!" On the bus, a female student whispered to her classmate, but her voice was still loud, at least loud enough for Chen Ze sitting behind to hear.

"Really? What I heard was that there were two people who encountered a ghost." The gossipy news immediately piqued the interest of the two girls, and even Chen Ze pricked up his ears.

Gossip is a common human interest, from octogenarians to first-grade children, everyone finds gossip intriguing, including Chen Ze.

"Hehe, I heard it was pretty bad; when they found them, one kept holding his head, constantly shouting about ghosts, while the other just drooled stupidly," the female student took out her phone and then found a video to show her classmate.

Chen Ze was curious; he was always greatly interested in these weird and strange things, so he also took out his phone and did a quick search.

Indeed, he found a video, and with headphones in, Chen Ze started to watch.

Then Chen Ze’s expression turned a bit strange. Although people don’t usually retain memories of insignificant others, Chen Ze could still tell that the drooling idiot seemed to have delivered food to his restaurant yesterday.

Chen Ze turned off his phone and gazed thoughtfully out the window. Could this be a coincidence?

Chen Ze certainly knew how much money he had collected yesterday, and then today, this delivery guy and another person turned crazy while committing theft. Saying it had nothing to do with him, Chen Ze himself didn’t believe it.

Chen Ze took out his phone again and checked the forum of Sun Moon City, then he also learned about the fate of these two men.

A mental hospital seemed to be their destination, and it was unclear if they would ever recover.

If they never get better, their lives are basically ruined.

Chen Ze put in his headphones and started playing music. Anyway, it was none of his business, and he couldn’t be bothered to play the good guy.

If you come to steal, you should be prepared for the consequences. Moreover, they even found knives on them; Chen Ze didn’t think he’d still be alive if he hadn’t had the Magic Circle.

After making his purchases and returning to the restaurant, it was already twelve o’clock noon.

Just as Chen Ze opened the door, Betty rushed in, almost knocking him to the floor.

"Calm down, will you?" Chen Ze rolled his eyes; Betty was unusually excited today.

"Boss! Boss! I’m telling you, all your bread slices have sold out!" Betty said with an excited face, while Chen Ze was a bit stunned.

"And then what?" Chen Ze curiously looked at Betty, thinking that this Succubus seemed to have a bit of a business sense after all.

"Hehe, and then I made this much!" Betty said happily as she took out her money bag and gave it a shake, eliciting the sound of metal clinking.

"What did Alisa say?" Chen Ze went back to the kitchen and began his prep work for the day.

The pork cutlets for the curry pork chop needed to be marinated in advance, so Chen Ze still had to work on the pork cutlets.

"Miss Alisa told me to raise the price because the cost is a bit high," Betty lamented, sprawling on the table.

"How much does it cost to make a burger?" Chen Ze asked curiously, lifting his head—it was just a burger, after all.

"Well... the bread, you gave me a great deal, boss, so that’s negligible. Then there’s the airleaf... Piga meat patty... oil..." Chen Ze’s mouth twitched because he saw Betty’s eyes start to spin. If this were an animation, she’d already have swirls in her eyes.

"Just tell me directly, how much does it cost to make a burger?" Chen Ze stopped Betty’s self-tormenting behavior.

"Um... the cost for a burger is four copper coins," Betty said immediately, because Alisa had already calculated it with her before.

"And how much do you sell it for?" Chen Ze lifted his hand, intending to scratch his head, but then put it down again, remembering Ryan’s advice against scratching his head.

"Three copper coins." Chen Ze looked at Betty with a shocked expression, thinking, is she a genius in business? Love it.

Chen Ze suddenly felt very grateful that he hadn’t asked Betty to help him collect meal fees, or else he’d probably go bankrupt in just a few days.

While Betty went upstairs to take a shower and change her clothes, Chen Ze continued preparing the pork to be marinated.

"Shizuka, come quick! This is the restaurant I told you about that’s super delicious!" Before Betty came back down, Chen Ze heard such a voice.

Chen Ze raised an eyebrow, instantly recognizing who it was.

"Nobita, you’re here for a meal?" Chen Ze greeted with a friendly smile.

"Yes, Uncle, please give me two of the best and most expensive dishes!" Nobita said cheerfully, with Shizuka standing next to him in a little dress.

"Please, and thank you," Shizuka said, bowing politely.

Then Shizuka tugged at Nobita’s clothes. "Nobita, this isn’t quite right. The most expensive dishes... I don’t have that much money..."

Chen Ze looked behind Nobita and didn’t see the Blue Fatty.

"Doraemon isn’t here with you?" Chen Ze felt a bit disappointed, after all, if Doraemon were here, he could have borrowed his Time Cloak.

"Doraemon doesn’t know I’m here, Uncle. Can I use this?" Nobita pulled out a little notebook from his chest, which looked like a pass.

"Eh? What is this?" Chen Ze looked at the pass, feeling a sense of familiarity.

Isn’t this Doraemon’s All-Purpose Pass? How come Nobita was showing him this?

But Chen Ze immediately remembered a plot from Doraemon; Nobita took Shizuka to a fancy restaurant and ate for free with the All-Purpose Pass. Then... ah? Ate for free?

Chen Ze instantly understood what Nobita was actually planning. No wonder he asked for the most expensive dishes, and two servings at that.

"Nobita, the All-Purpose Pass doesn’t work on me, you know. So, are you sure you still want the most expensive dishes?" Chen Ze said with a sly smile, looking at Nobita.

Just like a crafty kid.
