My Restaurant's Guests are All Abnormal
Chapter 282 - 142 Takanashi Rikka
Chen Ze stood in the kitchen, took out his cell phone to look at the time, and saw it was already eight o’clock, but aside from Takanashi Rikka, there were no other customers for the time being.
Chen Ze glanced at the restaurant, where Takanashi Rikka had already finished her curry pork chop rice, having eaten it very cleanly, which made Chen Ze’s mood even more pleasant.
Which chef doesn’t like it when customers finish all of the dish they’ve prepared? It’s a recognition of one’s culinary skills, so Chen Ze was very happy.
"I’m full." Takanashi Rikka put down her chopsticks contentedly. The curry pork chop rice was really too delicious, and she had never eaten such a fantastic dish before.
It even felt better than what the Holy Reconciler chef made, which made Rikka even more certain of her thoughts.
She was sure the manager of this restaurant must be an administrator of the invisible boundary line... No, must be a figure like a company president to cook such delicious food and also be able to take her to the invisible boundary line.
"Um... how much does it cost?" Takanashi Rikka fumbled for her wallet.
As a student, Takanashi Rikka didn’t have much money, but she did have a thousand yen.
"Five hundred yen," Chen Ze replied quickly, as he had no intention of letting Takanashi Rikka pay for anything else. Besides, even if she could pay, what could Rikka offer?
What Takanashi Rikka could provide, Chen Ze could generally buy, so he didn’t really need those things.
"Alright, thank you very much!" Takanashi Rikka placed the five hundred yen down and then seemed a bit fidgety.
Takanashi Rikka didn’t leave, but instead stood in the restaurant, occasionally glancing at the kitchen; even after Betty had collected the dishes and utensils, she still stood there.
"What’s the matter?" Chen Ze raised his head and looked at Takanashi Rikka through the kitchen window.
"That! I will visit tomorrow! Thank you, Divine Being!" Takanashi Rikka bowed deeply and then dashed out quickly.
"₍₍Ϡ(੭•̀ω•́)੭✧⃛Wow~ Divine Being, huh!" Betty looked at Chen Ze with a mischievous grin on her face.
The corner of Chen Ze’s mouth twitched, I’m just a normal human, okay! I have nothing to do with your Kami-sama at all!
Chen Ze sighed. He remembered that Takanashi Rikka referred to her sister, Takanashi Tooka, as the Holy Reconciler, so was it because he agreed to take her to see the invisible boundary line that she called him Divine Being?
Chen Ze shook his head, forget it, it would be fine to ask Lafra for help tomorrow.
Chen Ze took another look at his phone. Time had passed for a while, and it seemed that no other customers would come now.
"Rikka, where have you been?" Shi Hua stood in the living room, calmly looking at Takanashi Rikka who walked in carefully.
"Holy Reconciler!" Rikka immediately covered her eyepatch, clearly ready to take it off and use the Evil King’s True Eye if they disagreed.
Shi Hua stood expressionlessly in the living room but took out her cooking spoon.
"Curry? Did you go out for curry?" Shi Hua sniffed, catching a pleasant smell in the air.
Although Shi Hua was an Italian chef, she could certainly identify the aroma of curry.
"Inferior curry, the curry powder used is not good, but the added spices are not bad." Out of a chef’s instinct, Shi Hua voiced her opinion.
"That Deity... Uncle’s curry is delicious!" Rikka retorted indignantly, looking at her sister.
Deity... Was that a slip of the tongue from Rikka?
"Take me to see him tomorrow," Shi Hua spoke up, determined to meet the uncle regardless of the reason.
Shi Hua looked at her younger sister, pondering within. In just a few days, she would be traveling abroad and what worried her the most was leaving this sister of hers behind.
Ever since their father passed away, Shi Hua and her sister had been each other’s sole support. As the elder sister, Shi Hua gave up her own dreams, became a chef, and now earned enough money to support Liu Hua, but...
"Holy Reconciler! I will not betray the uncle’s whereabouts!" Liu Hua pulled down her eyepatch, revealing golden irises.
Shi Hua sighed internally, was it starting again?
"Explode, reality! Shatter, spirit! Banish this world!" The fight was imminent.
If adolescent delusions were a measure of combat strength, Takanashi Rikka would have no trouble dominating the world, but sadly, this was reality.
Therefore, the fight began quickly and ended just as swiftly; Shi Hua used a cooking spoon to block the items thrown by Liu Hua and closed in to grab her sister’s shoulders.
"Invisible boundary lines do not exist," Shi Hua declared, and went back to her meal.
She had even made Liu Hua’s favorite hamburger, but it seemed she would have to eat it alone now.
"You lied to me! You... you tricked me! Divine Being had already agreed to take me to the invisible boundary line tomorrow!" Liu Hua yelled indignantly and then rushed into her bedroom, slamming the door shut.
Shi Hua sat calmly on the cushion, slowly eating the food in front of her, but her mood had worsened.
"To deceive Liu Hua, huh? That uncle... is unforgivable," Shi Hua muttered, gripping her chopsticks tightly enough to nearly snap them.
Reality is not like an anime, those kind-hearted Divine Beings do not exist; beneath that facade of benevolence usually lies a malefactor with ill intentions.
Shi Hua put down her chopsticks, resolved to deal with the imposter tomorrow.
Chen Ze, of course, had no idea that Shi Hua had labeled him an imposter and a person of audacious gall. He was enjoying a glass of watermelon juice.
"How’s the taste?" Chen Ze took a leisurely sip of his watermelon juice, which had been chilled for a while. In the scorching heat of summer, it was incredibly refreshing.
"It’s delicious... and very sweet!" Betty took another big drink, feeling her day’s fatigue wash away with it.
"If there are still no customers later, you should head home," Chen Ze finished his drink and placed the cup aside.
It was nine o’clock, and Chen Ze didn’t expect any more customers.
"Darling, would you like to listen to the Wind Moon Band’s concert?" In the next second, Lafra’s cute voice, accompanied by the sound of Wind Chimes, burst into the cafe.
Chen Ze couldn’t help but smile, then he pushed open the door and stepped outside.
"Pfft... cough cough!" Betty patted her chest; she had nearly choked just now.
Then Betty drank down the watermelon juice as quickly as possible, rushed upstairs, grabbed her clothes, and bolted out of the cafe.
"Betty is off work." Chen Ze wanted to scratch his head but controlled himself.
Chen Ze felt like he was a conversation killer, casually chatting things to death.
"Yeah, I saw," Lafra said with a smile, pulling out a crystal from her bosom - a recording of the Wind Moon Band’s concert.
