My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 570 - 571: Eyes Tightly Shut
"What does this have to do with them?" Timmy’s father clearly didn’t understand Hans Montrose’s meaning.
"Just like Howard Seymour back in the day, who kept on giving warnings, and later died tragically."
Timmy’s father’s face changed colors rapidly, vaguely beginning to understand.
Back then, Howard Seymour died because he didn’t heed the Seymour Family’s warnings and insisted on being with a woman, leading to his death.
And Melody Thorne...
How could there be such superstitious matters?
"Alright, watch over her here," the Seymour patriarch waved his hand.
No matter how much Melody Thorne hated him, let her hate. After all, he only had two months left to live; did it even matter?
Melody Thorne had pretended to faint from the start, plus she was genuinely upset, so the doctor didn’t notice anything earlier. Luckily, it disrupted the Seymour patriarch from continuing; otherwise, it would have really been confirmed.
Jared Quinn’s informants were here; who knew if they would spread today’s events around? Maybe Jared Quinn would be furious.
Melody Thorne squinted her eyes and glanced outside. Several servants were guarding the room, and there was no way she could leave.
"Hans,"
"Is she awake?" Hans Montrose’s voice held a hoarse tone, as he wasn’t feeling well either. Having protected her since childhood, he failed at this moment — Melody Thorne might hate him and not even want to look at him again.
Forcing down the pain in his chest, Hans Montrose walked in. Melody Thorne lay pale on the hospital bed, devoid of any color.
The Adam’s apple of the man rolled up and down as Hans Montrose walked over, gripping her hand, rubbing against his handsome face. Only when she was asleep did he dare to look at her so openly, to gaze at her.
Melody Thorne fought the urge to withdraw her hand, keeping her eyes tightly shut.
As long as Hans Montrose didn’t leave, she would definitely not wake up.
At the hotel in Crestfall, Jared Quinn’s informant within the Seymour Family reported everything word for word to Jared. At that moment, the man’s face was shrouded in gloom, eager to rush into the Seymour household and bring out that little woman.
Harold Chapman knew that Jared Quinn probably couldn’t wait any longer, but now was not the right time. If they just barged in like that, it would do no good.
"Madam is so clever; she must have pretended to faint to stop the Seymour patriarch from announcing that matter," Harold Chapman said. "Let’s quickly resolve the external matters and have them keep watch inside."
"Schedule a time; I need to go see for myself." Whether Melody Thorne had really fainted or not, he wasn’t at ease.
"We just got out, and now it’s the middle of the night; it’s not ideal. I think Madam must have her plans, so why not have them approach Madam as soon as they return, reveal their identities, and assess the situation?"
Jared Quinn stood up; he had to go see for himself to be reassured.
"Jared, there’s a call from the villa," Harold Chapman noticed Jared Quinn’s phone ringing with his sharp eyes.
Seeing the call from the villa, Jared Quinn recalled what Melody Thorne had said about coaxing the little boy at home.
"Hello," Jared Quinn answered the call.
"Young Master," the butler’s anxious voice came through, "t-the young master is missing. We’ve searched everywhere but couldn’t find any trace of him. I was wondering if he might... might have gone to find you and Madam."
The butler was in a cold sweat. Although Timmy had secretly gone abroad without the young master’s knowledge before, the situation was different now; was Crestfall that easy to enter?
