My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 593 - 564: I Can’t Take a Look?
The elder who had been keeping his head down had a cold glint in his eyes. "Sorry, this is a private space the Seymour Family gave me. It’s filled with various medicines, and it’s really inconvenient for you all to visit."
Melody Thorne forced a smile, "So, elder, are you directly refusing me now?"
"I wouldn’t dare."
"But that’s exactly what you just said."
"Melody," Jared Quinn swiftly pulled her back, his sharp gaze scanning over the elder scrutinizingly. This person was deeply trusted by the Seymour Family, likely because of some impressive methods.
"Why are you stopping me? It’s a Seymour family place, and I can’t go in? Even if it’s his private space, I have the right to take a look, right? Not only do I want to see it, but I also think this space is too small for the elder. I’m planning to get him a bigger room."
"Melody," the old man already had a bit of a headache.
"Alright, let’s just go back for now. Maybe it’s indeed inconvenient for it to be the elder’s private space," Jared Quinn said deliberately.
"True, everyone has their secrets. Maybe he’s really hiding something."
The more they talked, the more the elder’s face darkened. "Well then, since the miss is so curious, why doesn’t the miss come up alone and take a look? But it’s really inconvenient for outsiders."
"Sure."
"No way."
Melody Thorne and Jared Quinn’s voices rang out simultaneously.
"No way," Jared Quinn reiterated, "Since it’s inconvenient, there’s no need to go up."
Melody Thorne knew that Jared Quinn was afraid it might be dangerous for her to go up, but she really wanted to see what this so-called elder was actually hiding.
"Alright, Leon, you can chat with the elder."
"Okay."
While Leon Rivers and the elder were chatting, they kept listening. Melody Thorne couldn’t understand much or identify any issues and dialed that number to see its location.
The call went through, and it was answered on the other end, but Melody Thorne didn’t hear a ring from this place.
Twenty minutes later, Leon Rivers completely lost interest because everything the elder said seemed to go in circles, without any key points.
"What exactly do you people want?" The old man’s face was already darkened as he questioned when they left the elder’s place.
"Nothing much, just wanted to take a look." As the three walked away,
the old man’s eyes grew darker.
The elder who had been keeping his eyes down raised his gaze, locking onto the few who had walked away, a shadow deepening in his eyes.
He turned around and walked upstairs step by step, entering a deeply hidden secret room.
At the entrance of the Seymour Family, Caleb had returned from the hospital where Howard Seymour passed away and brought some records. As soon as he entered, he saw the old man’s now worn face marked with anger,
"Old man," Caleb approached, his expression unchanged.
The old man glanced sideways at the documents in Caleb’s hand. "What’s that?"
Caleb took a step back. "This is what the miss asked for."
The old man’s anger grew. "I can’t see it?"
"That’s how the miss instructed."
The old man was furious. "Go and tell that girl to stop causing trouble for me."
"Alright," Caleb turned to leave, leaving the old man fuming alone.
In the room.
Melody Thorne pressed Leon Rivers, "Did you find anything or not? Speak up."
