My Vampire Wives Want My Blood!
Chapter 117 - 118- The Shackled Nobles (Part 2)
The 6 people walked in a rhythmic, slow manner, as if they were fighting the urge to fall to the ground unconscious from their injuries. They looked so frail and tired that it made the hunters pity them for a second.
However, as they got closer and closer, things started to seem off. They first noticed that all these people, with no exception, were drooling endlessly. There was so much drool that it covered their clothes and the path they were walking on.
Then, they started hearing their heavy breathing. It was rugged, dry, and painful to listen to, let alone how it felt to the people who were breathing like that.
The hunters looked at each other silently before they started stepping back, their hands slowly moving to their weapons. They realized these were no normal people at all. No, in fact, these weren't people at all.
'Vampires!' They all thought at the same time.
As the vampires got closer, they finally raised their heads, fully revealing their hideso faces. They looked utterly repulsive, to the point where some of the hunters felt the urge to vomit right there and then. Their faces were distorted and broken, as if they were constiniously hit with a bat and somehow survived.
Their noses, eyes, and skin was all messed up beyond repair. Even their fangs were broken and jagged, as if they had been grated ruthlessly.
"Get back!" One of the men yelled as he saw that. These vampires weren't just rabid, they looked like they were about to eat them alive. It was a hunger and bloodlust unlike anything they had seen before and it shook them to the core.
But, these were no normal people, these were professional hunters, facing these abominations was an everyday thing for them. So, even under this odd feeling of unease, they brandished their weapons and got ready to attack the vampires and eliminate them.
"Take formation!"
As the leader turned around to give orders to his team, suddenly, the vampires disappeared. It happened so fast that no one even noticed it.
*Swish*
It all happened in a split second. The man was speaking… Then, he went silent as his eyes widened slowly. His lips parted open as he stared at his team. Then, slowly, his head started sliding off his shoulders before it fell to the ground with his eyes still wide open.
Silence.
For a second, nobody comprehended what they just witnessed. Then, the moment a fountain of blood exploded from the man's severed head, they all reacted.
"MOVE!!!!"
One yelled as they all dashed in different directions. Their leader has been killed with a one single move. The vampires reappeared behind them, standing near the corpse as if nothing happened. Then, they stared at the rest of the squad.
That single look was more than enough to send endless fear in their hearts. They didn't even think about fighting or trying to take their leader's corpse back.
'Shit! What the hell are those vampires?! They moved at the same time and killed the boss!!' One of the men yelled in his head as he tried to make a sense of what just happened. His boss was one of the strongest vampire hunters he knew, the fact he was killed in a split second was utterly ridiculous. He didn't even think that was possible and that it was merely an illusion. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
However, soon enough, his fear was confirmed.
*Swish*
The vampires took a second but then they moved again, disappearing out of sight.
"Be careful! They're some-" One of the female hunters tried to warn the rest, only for her words to be cut short… forever.
Her head slid off her shoulders before she could even make it a few hundred meters away.
"Oh my god!!"
"Gerina!!!!!"
One of the men stopped as he turned around to fight the vampires. "YOU BASTARDS!!!"
"No, Marcus!!!! Don't stop!"
However, before the cry could reach the man, he found himself on the ground, his conscious fading as his dead body spewed blood out endlessly.
Then, slowly and horrifically, one hunter fell after the other as they tried to desperately run for their lives, only for the vampires to reach them in a split second and end them. There was no fight, no resistance, not even an escape, just a one sided massacre unlike anything this squad has ever seen.
Their numbers dwindled down to two in a matter of seconds.
"Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah!"
The two ran till they reached a turn as they rushed toward it. "We need to contact the main headquarters now! Send a black message!!!"
A black message was the highest level of warning possible. It meant that the threat they were facing was potentially threatening to the clan itself.
The man nodded as he quickly fumbled to his communication device. He tapped it and tried to send the message.
"Hurry, dammit!" The other said as he tried to peek outside and see where the vampires were.
*Swish* *BLAST*
"H-Huh?"
The man heard an explosion before a wet noise like that of rain filled his ear. He looked up, only to see that his friend's head had been blasted into pieces as his brain matter, bone shards, and blood rained down on the ground.
"Hah… Hah!!! AAAAAAGH!" He screamed as he crawled back and tried to start running again. However, he was far too late, before he could make it a single step away… His body was severed in half from the torso.
He fell to the ground, still conscious for a bit as he saw several silhouettes appear before him. Their bare feet, their shackles that were covered in blood and gore…
"Y… ou… mons… ters…" He muttered as he clenched his fists, his mouth filled with blood as he glared hatefully at them. "Rot… in… hell-"
*SPLASH*
Before he could even finish the sentence, one of the vampires stomped on his head, ending him in a single instance. His head spread out everywhere around them.
Then, the world went quiet again as the 6 vampires stood there, staring at the dead man tiredly.
