National Guardian's Gone and We're Done
Chapter 249 - 248: Controlled by the Seven-Colored Radiance, Now Completely Immobilized
"Its predecessor was the Divine Beast Master of life and death and the Vedic Storm God, Rudra, from the White Elephant Empire’s River Civilization Era."
"In mythology, Shiva is a symbol of destruction. His personality is complex and mysterious, possessing the dual characteristics of life and death, creation and destruction."
"He can manifest in various strange and fantastic forms,"
"such as his terrifying form, gentle form, superhuman form, three-faced form, Lord of the Dance form, majestic form, the androgynous Lord Who Is Half Woman form, and many other aspects, as well as the unique lingam form."
When Yumizakura softly uttered the word "lingam,"
a strange, indescribable expression flickered across her beautiful face, and even her tone became somewhat subtle and unnatural.
Nalan Fengshan looked utterly lost. Full of confusion, he asked, "Lingam? What does that mean?"
Yumizakura looked as if she wanted to say more but stopped herself. Her ruby lips parted and closed. After a moment of internal debate, she simply said coolly, "Once this is over, just search for it online. You’ll find out then."
Although Nalan Fengshan was deeply confused, a powerful enemy was upon them, and the situation was critical. He could only suppress his questions for now and focus all his attention on the immediate crisis.
...
Within the towns,
the White Elephant Empire’s defense command had already scrambled into action, issuing an emergency notice to every city and town.
The notice was dire, explicitly warning the public not to look at or pick up the photos being scattered by the Great Xia Empire’s helicopters.
Doing so would trigger the terrifying, unavoidable killing rule of the bizarre Evil Spirit.
Once that happened, there would be no chance of escape.
Most people had received the news,
but in such a short time, it was impossible to ensure every single citizen of the White Elephant Empire saw the warning.
Near the White Elephant Empire’s Border City, some people were busy with their daily work.
Suddenly, a tremendous RUMBLE echoed from the sky above.
Immediately after, they saw countless sheets of paper fluttering down like snowflakes.
Overcome by curiosity, one of them couldn’t resist reaching out and picking one up.
The moment his eyes fell on the photo, he shivered in fright.
The photo showed an utterly terrifying face. Its sunken eye sockets were like two pitch-black voids, bottomless abysses that radiated a hair-raising aura.
He instinctively threw the photo away, muttering, "Damn it. What kind of sick person makes a photo like this just to scare people?"
The photo was still spinning in the air,
not yet having hit the ground, when a cold, sinister presence shot toward them from the distance like a phantom.
The man hadn’t yet realized the danger. He stared, his eyes wide, trying to get a clear look at what was speeding toward him.
When he finally saw it clearly, he was horrified to find
that the creature was identical to the terrifying face in the photo.
He opened his mouth to scream for help, but a powerful sense of dread washed over him.
However, before a sound could escape his lips,
the slender, cyan figure slammed into him like a specter.
With a sickening THUD,
his body was smashed to smithereens. His head flew like a kicked ball,
tumbling through the air several times before landing heavily on the ground.
The others working with the man were stunned into silence by the sudden, horrific scene.
When they got a clear look at the slender figure, they screamed in terror,
dropped their tools, and scattered in every direction.
But they were far too slow. The slender figure was like a bolt of lightning.
The instant they saw its face, it slaughtered them all.
In an instant, the ground was covered in a gruesome mess of flesh, severed limbs, and gore—a scene straight out of Hell.
The slender figure didn’t pause for a moment. It sprinted across the ground at an astonishing speed, moving so fast that it left a straight black line of afterimages in its wake.
Just as it was about to charge into the town ahead,
suddenly, a magnificent, colorful radiance descended from the sky.
The radiance was dazzling, shimmering with seven brilliant colors like a rainbow touching down in the Mortal World.
This beautiful light possessed a mysterious Magic Power. As soon as it enveloped the slender figure, the creature seemed to sink into thick mire.
Its movements grew sluggish, and every step forward became an immense struggle.
"Mr. Chu, we have a problem! Something strange is happening!"
Liu Qiang’s voice, tinged with nervousness and astonishment, rang out inside the command helicopter. "That bizarre Evil Spirit, the Shy One, has been completely immobilized by the seven-colored radiance!
I’ve also seen other civilians pick up the photos, but the Evil Spirit’s killing rule isn’t triggering.
This must mean that even the powerful Shy One can’t break free from the seven-colored light’s restraint to carry out its kill."
Sitting in the helicopter, Liu Qiang broke out in a cold sweat. He kept the communication line open, continuing to report the shocking situation on the ground in detail.
Chu He’s calm, authoritative voice soon came over the comms. "You can withdraw now. What happens next is beyond your ability to handle."
Upon hearing this, Liu Qiang immediately shouted, "Turn around! Let’s head back now!"
In fact, the moment the seven-colored radiance filled the sky,
the members of the Defense Team had already sensed an ominous presence.
But they knew that without a direct order from Chu He, they could not act on their own.
Now that they had their orders, Liu Qiang and his men had no desire to linger.
Staying any longer would only make them a burden to Chu He.
The helicopter began a slow turn, flying off into the distance.
Throughout this process, the radiance filling the sky remained unchanged.
Only after the helicopter had completely left the White Elephant Empire’s airspace
did Liu Qiang and his men breathe a collective sigh of relief, the tension finally leaving their bodies.
Meanwhile, Chu He’s SUV was tearing down the road at breakneck speed.
Suddenly, the SUV screeched to a halt,
because high above, within the radiant light, a massive vortex had slowly positioned itself directly over the vehicle.
The vortex was like a sealed Demon, a terrifying, destructive power still brewing within it.
Then, a pillar of seven-colored light erupted from the center of the vortex. The beam was so brilliant it seemed like a divine pathway from Heaven descending to the Mortal World.
In a flash of movement like a bolt of lightning, Chu He appeared above the SUV.
His eyes were as sharp as a falcon’s. With no wasted motion, he simply threw a punch.
In that instant, dazzling Thunderbolt Power gathered furiously around his fist, quickly forming a roaring Thunder Dragon that reared its head to the sky.
The lifelike Thunder Dragon was over twenty meters in diameter and radiated a terrifying pressure.
Like a cannonball, it shot directly toward the descending pillar of seven-colored light.
BOOM!
The two collided violently, the massive impact triggering a terrifying storm of energy.
The storm raged outwards in all directions like a tsunami,
kicking up sand and stones and leaving a trail of utter devastation in its wake!
