Necromancer: I Am A Disaster
Chapter 731: Does A Mongrel Dragon Like Him Even Deserve It?
Lin Moyu arrived at yet another city.
By now, news of his rampage through the Dragonkind World had clearly spread.
Every city had activated its defensive formations, and the Dragonkind inside stood ready for battle.
With a single glance, Lin Moyu took in the scene. Dragonkind soldiers lined the city walls, while warships ascended into the sky.
A protective shield formed from a formation shimmered above the city, covering the entire city.
Yet, he sensed no Dragon King aura. This city, like the last, lacked a Dragon King.
The Genesis Scepter was nearly repaired; only a few more Dragon Crystals were needed.
Though Dragon Kings among the Dragonkind were numerous, not every city could house one. Perhaps it was simply his misfortune that he hadn’t encountered another.
At this point, however, even if they came, it wouldn’t matter.
He had already slain high-tier Dragon Kings. Ordinary Dragon Kings, no matter how many, would only be fodder.
With a single thought, the sky plunged into darkness.
Black clouds churned violently, as if another world were descending. From within them, the undead army poured forth in endless waves.
Bone Dragons roared, unleashing torrents of breath attacks onto the formation.
Headless Knights charged without hesitation, slamming into the formation with devastating force, warping it instantly.
Skeletal Berserk Warriors and Skeletal Great Mages followed with relentless assaults.
At the rear, Skeletal Marksmen drew their bows, soul locked onto the Dragonkind behind the formation, waiting quietly for the moment the formation fell to unleash a deadly attack.
Inside the city, fear spread like wildfire among the Dragonkind.
The weak collapsed, trembling in despair. Even the brave felt a crushing sense of doom.
The sheer scale of the assault was overwhelming.
The formation wouldn’t last.
Magic Crystal in the city burned at full power, yet the formation twisted and buckled under the onslaught.
Every defense was deployed, but it made little difference.
The undead army blotted out the sky, an unstoppable tide of death.
Barely a minute passed before the formation shattered like glass.
The Skeletal Marksmen finally struck at the same time.
Skill: Soul Shot.
Invisible arrows pierced through the Dragonkind, detonating within their souls.
A large number of Dragonkind died silently. Their final expressions froze in agony, a pain beyond comprehension.
Damage to the soul was far more painful than imagined.
Then came the Bone Dragons’ breath attacks, sweeping across the city. Screams echoed as flesh dissolved and souls burned away, leaving behind nothing but bone.
Many Dragonkind had never imagined they would die to breath attacks.
It was a massacre.
Lin Moyu watched coldly, his expression unchanged.
Compared to the blood humanity had shed, this was nothing, less than interest on an unpaid debt.
He felt neither hatred nor pity. Only clarity.
If he could, he would erase the Dragonkind entirely, leaving nothing behind.
Invaders deserved extinction. There would be no prisoners.
The Dragonkind resisted, but their fate had been sealed the moment Lin Moyu arrived.
Two minutes later, a powerful aura appeared in the distance.
The Dragon Emperor had come.
From Lin Moyu’s arrival to this moment, only five minutes had passed.
The Dragon Emperor was already fast enough, but still a step too late.
Lin Moyu sensed the soul lock the instant the Dragon Emperor appeared. His gaze shifted to the object in its hand: a glowing bead radiating danger.
Without hesitation, he moved to retreat. Soul force surged, and the Deathwings fluttered, attempting to break the soul lock.
But to his surprise, he was still standing in the same place.
Space itself seemed to thicken, turning viscous, making it impossible to move within.
Not just him, but the entire undead army was the same.
Even the crumbling buildings and scattering debris were all frozen in place.
Time hadn’t stopped. Instead, it felt as if the space itself had been filled with glue that stuck everything in place.
The Dragon Emperor’s maniacal laughter rang out.
“Lin Moyu, you’re dead!”
The Dragon Emperor charged forward. Though its speed was affected, the impact was minimal compared to Lin Moyu.
The bead in the Dragon Emperor’s hand glowed faintly, cloaking him in light.
“That bead…”
Lin Moyu immediately understood. The current situation was caused by the bead.
The bead resembled a Dragon Ball, etched with formation lines and emitting light.
At the same time, it radiated an overwhelming law aura, one that even surpassed the Dragon Emperor himself.
“Is it a new treasure?” Lin Moyu made a guess.
If the Dragon Emperor had possessed such a weapon before, he would have used it long ago.
Without hesitation, Lin Moyu unleashed a bolt of purple Godslaying Lightning.
Though his body was immobilized, it didn’t stop him from releasing the lightning.
The bolt, infused with the law of lightning, cut through the air, yet even it slowed, visible to the naked eye.
The Dragon Emperor dodged effortlessly.
“Struggling is useless!”
He raised the Dragon Greataxe, eyes blazing, and brought it down with terrifying force.
The law of stone surged with the strike, pushing its power to the brink.
Swish.
Lin Moyu vanished abruptly.
Along with him, the entire undead army disappeared.
The Dragon Greataxe struck empty air.
The immense force slammed into the city with a deafening roar.
But under the frozen space, because of the formation, destruction unfolded in eerie slow motion.
Cracks spread, then widened, until the city finally collapsed in a delayed explosion.
The Dragon Emperor was stunned. Lin Moyu had disappeared again
“This is impossible!”
“How could he escape?!”
Rage consumed the Dragon Emperor. Escaping before was one thing, but escaping from a sealed space?
It made no sense. Absolutely none.
The Dragon Bead’s glow dimmed, and the formation that covered the space dissolved. The world snapped back to normal.
In the next instant, the city collapsed completely.
The Dragon Emperor’s full-force strike, infinitely close to Transcendent God level, had completely flattened the city.
Any surviving Dragonkind were wiped out in that single blow.
After confirming that there was no trace of Lin Moyu, the Dragon Emperor roared in fury.
His scales bristled, and a Divine Dragon phantom emerged behind him, howling toward the heavens.
The sound echoed across half the Dragonkind World.
…
Antares’s eyes glinted with amusement, “How does it feel to escape death?”
Lin Moyu replied calmly, “I don’t feel much. I’m used to it.”
He truly was used to dying. After all, he had died too many times to count.
Even if the Dragon Emperor’s axe had struck him, it wouldn’t have ended his life. Fear no longer had a place in him.
Still, he had no intention of standing still and taking the blow like a living target; he had simply activated Antares’s scale and teleported away.
Lin Moyu frowned, “What was that in the Dragon Emperor’s hand?”
He was certain that Antares had seen everything.
Antares answered, “A Formation Bead.”
“A Formation Bead?” Lin Moyu echoed, puzzled.
Antares explained, “It’s an item that stores a pre-recorded formation. Channel soul force into it, and the formation is deployed instantly.”
Lin Moyu asked, “Was that a space formation just now?”
Antares snorted, “A space formation? As if a mongrel Dragon like him could wield something like that.”
