Necromancer: I Am A Disaster
Chapter 733: The Power Of Faith
Antares watched Lin Moyu, seeing straight through his intentions.
Lin Moyu was hundreds of kilometers away, remotely controlling the undead army to attack. He avoided the Dragon Emperor entirely, refusing any direct confrontation.
After attacking a city, he would circle back as if sweeping away scraps, leaving his enemies confused and off balance.
Lin Moyu had no fixed target. He simply attacked wherever he felt like.
One moment, he might traverse ten thousand kilometers; the next, only a few thousand.
City after city was subjected to his assault.
The powerful defensive formations of the Dragonkind crumbled quickly under the relentless undead army. Once those defenses broke, what followed was a massacre.
And yet, the architect of this chaos never showed his face.
The Dragonkind World descended into panic. Fear spread like wildfire; every Dragonkind lived in constant dread.
“An entire world terrorized by a single person… Mongrel Dragons truly are worthless.”
“The brat is killing to his heart’s content. But such a feat deserves recognition.”
“Faith, one of humanity’s fundamental strengths. Perhaps it will help you.”
Antares raised a claw and casually exhaled strands of law. The strands merged into the world without a trace.
The next instant, countless images appeared across the Human World, projected into the sky and visible from nearly every corner.
The Human World was vast, with a population exceeding 1 billion. But in reality, the land inhabited by the humans accounted for less than 10% of the entire world. The rest of the world was ocean.
Now, through a secret technique, Antares broadcasted Lin Moyu’s actions for all to see.
A hero should not remain in the shadows. His deeds should be known by everyone.
“Godly General Lin is in the Dragonkind World, fighting for humanity!”
Antares’s voice spread across the entire Human World along with the images.
In the projections, Lin Moyu commanded his undead army to attack one Dragonkind city after another. Each strike brought devastating losses.
As the people watched, realization finally dawned upon them
The whole world was shocked.
No one had imagined that Lin Moyu would enter the Dragonkind World alone, raiding and destroying their cities. It was something unprecedented, beyond anything the people would even dare to imagine
“Godly General Lin is slaughtering the Dragonkind in the Dragonkind World.”
“That’s the Dragon Emperor… a truly top-tier powerhouse.”
“Is Godly General Lin in danger?”
Xiajing City, in the imperial palace.
Emperor Dongfang Yi also watched the projection and listened to Antares’s voice.
As a God-level powerhouse, the Emperor understood far more than ordinary people.
In moments, he grasped the situation and formed a rough guess.
Orders were issued immediately by the imperial palace, spreading across the entire nation with astonishing speed.
The Shenxia Empire roared to life with staggering efficiency, and long-hidden secrets of the Dragonkind began to proliferate.
“So 1,000 years ago, the Dragonkind invaded the Human World.”
“The Dragonkind destroyed our cities and slaughtered our people. Tens of millions died at their hands.”
“Human blood once stained the earth red… all because of the Dragonkind.”
With the Dragonkind driven out, time had dulled humanity’s hatred. The current generation felt little of it.
But now, with the truth laid bare, people finally realized how deep that grudge ran.
City after city had once been reduced to ruin, with tens of millions butchered by the Dragonkind.
Many humans had become food for the Dragonkind, devoured alive.
In an instant, the hatred toward the Dragonkind reignited.
The people gradually came to understand Lin Moyu’s actions. Even those who had initially recoiled at his ruthless purges began to support him.
This was no longer a simple blood feud. It had become a matter of survival: kill or be killed.
There could be no reconciliation, no prisoners taken.
If either side gained the upper hand, they would drive the other to extinction. Only one could remain.
Though many worried for Lin Moyu, they also rallied behind him.
Not everyone stood in his corner, but at least more than half of humanity did.
Faith began to gather. It condensed into a mysterious force that surged through the void and poured into Lin Moyu.
Antares sensed the force immediately, muttered to himself, “What a miraculous power…”
“Not a law, yet able to rival laws. Truly remarkable.”
“If only the Dragon Race could wield this power… What a pity.”
“If the billions of Dragons stood united as one, we would not have fallen to this state.”
Antares’s eyes flickered with envy, as well as disappointment—disappointment in his own race.
The power of faith was profoundly mysterious.
Even weaker nations, like the Sakura Kingdom and the Bangja Kingdom, possessed the power of faith.
The Gods of Will were products of the power of faith.
Across the vast greater world, only a handful of races held it.
But only the humans could truly command it.
Lin Moyu felt a warm current flow into his body, as if he had been immersed in a hot spring. It was extremely soothing.
The warm current gathered within his soul world, where the Nine-Colored Dragon Soul Crystal absorbed it, refining it into pure soul force that nourished his soul.
In an instant, Lin Moyu felt his soul rank advance, inching closer to level 94.
The soul force also transformed into an enormous amount of EXP.
Despite only recently reaching level 81, he was already on the verge of leveling up again.
Antares’s voice suddenly echoed in his soul, “Well? How does the power of faith feel?”
Lin Moyu asked, puzzled, “Isn’t that something only the Gods of Will use?”
“You need to broaden your perspective. The power of faith is one of the human race’s fundamental strengths. Contemplate it well. It’s said to be miraculous, but I can’t guide you here.”
There was unmistakable envy in Antares’s tone. After all, the Dragon Race didn’t possess the power of faith.
Lin Moy realized Antares must have helped him, “So… how did you do it?”
“I merely spread word of your deeds in the Dragonkind World. Effort like yours shouldn’t remain hidden, unless you intended to stay a puppet master behind the scenes.”
“That clever guy, Dongfang Yi, helped push things along as well.”
“Coupled with your existing reputation, admiration naturally transformed into faith.”
It sounded simple, and in truth, it was.
Without Lin Moyu’s immense prestige and his renown as a godly general, the power of faith could never have gathered so smoothly.
Everything had aligned perfectly; Antares had only nudged events forward, with Dongfang Yi adding momentum.
As for the true benefits this power brought him, only Lin Moyu himself understood.
With a beat of his Deathwings, Lin Moyu vanished once more.
Above a ruined city hundreds of kilometers away, the undead army disappeared as well.
In the distance, the Dragon Emperor’s furious roar echoed faintly through the air.
