Chapter 1363: Chapter 1363: Inquiring about News

As soon as the words were out, an iron pot was hurled from inside, hitting the big man squarely on the back of his head.

A clear, youthful voice followed from the inner room, "If you want to do it, do it; if not, get lost. If you keep babbling, young master will send you to heaven—believe it or not?"

The big man’s face turned bright red with anger. He seemed to be a mid-level hunter, but he forcefully held back and didn’t lash out, only cursing at a skinny man at the front of the group, "What are you looking at? Keep staring and I’ll gouge your eyes out!"

The skinny man seemed to be the timid type; he shrank aside to make way and didn’t dare to curse back.

After the big man had gone, another voice came from inside, "Next. Remember to bring in young master’s iron pot before you enter. I’m counting on it for tonight..."

What was said after that couldn’t be heard clearly.

In the following two hours, some people came in and others left.

There were those who had made deals, and those who hadn’t.

However, none of them were cursing and swearing like the big man earlier.

Everyone was quite well-behaved.

After watching for a while, Hannah understood, "Master, are you here to make fake documents?"

Hannah was still fiddling with her watch.

Inside the watch was a light brain, but the outside was a very simple and plain analogue watch. The strap was black and looked a bit old, with a red flower adorning the dial.

She said, "No."

Hannah asked out of curiosity, "Then what are we here for?"

Hannah patted her watch and, seeing the second hand begin to move, she then said, "I’ve come to ask about something."

Hannah had many more questions, but before she could ask them, it was Hannah’s turn.

The sun was setting in the distance.

Hannah was the last customer of the day.

After she went in, the big white goose that had been resting in the courtyard wandered out with a sign in its beak.

It read—Closed for cultivation, come back tomorrow for certificates.

The big white goose walked around in front of the people in line, making sure everyone saw the sign before hanging it on a nail by the door.

The others had no choice but to leave.

Hannah led Hannah into the building.

The interior of the room was somewhat nicer than it looked from the outside.

The tables and chairs were intact, and in the left corner stood a vat about half a person tall, covered with a wooden lid, on which rested a box of red, yellowing, and limescale-stained plastic spoons.

On the right wall there was a window, an old-fashioned one with glass set in deep green wood, frosted in a decorative pattern, guaranteeing that nothing could be seen from the outside when shut.

Besides this, the only other thing in the room was a screen.

It was semi-transparent, allowing a glimpse of someone seated behind it.

That person seemed to be sitting on a round-backed armchair, slumped in an informal pose with their feet on the table in front and half their body leaning against the armrest of the chair.

There was a lazy, rascally air to the way they spoke, "Here to get a certificate? Let me just say, young master doesn’t do marriage licenses. That stuff, if you get involved, you’re lacking in virtue."

The big man who had been struck by the iron pot had come to get a marriage certificate.

It was because his girlfriend complained that he didn’t like to shower, and the planned marriage fell through.

His girlfriend ran off, which he found embarrassing, so he thought about getting a marriage certificate to brag to his friends, preferably with a pretty girl’s photo on it.

And not just any photo of a girl, it had to be a real one.

Talk about identity theft.

He didn’t agree and chased the man out.

Hannah set Hannah aside and said, "I’m not here for a certificate; I’ve come to inquire about some information."
