Noble Pampering: Demon CEO's Relentless Entanglement
Chapter 1063 - 1059: No Chance of a Clean Break
"No, Mr. Land is waiting for you outside..." Elin quickly covered her mouth as she finished speaking,
"Luke came here?" Eva Miller stared skeptically at Elin, realizing why the director let her wrap up her work.
Without saying much, she picked up the bag from Elin’s hand and headed toward the set exit.
She casually glanced around and saw Luke’s car parked far away.
That annoying Luke, parking so far away, did he expect her to walk over?
She took out her phone and dialed his number directly.
"I see you, pull your car closer; I rarely walk."
Through the rearview mirror, Luke glanced behind him, seeing Eva standing there, her gaze fixed directly in his direction.
Alright, he originally intended to pretend it was a coincidence encounter.
He reversed the car and parked beside her.
Eva opened the car door and got in.
"Your assistant said you didn’t eat anything tonight?"
"Hmm."
"What do you want to eat?"
Eva hesitated for a moment but still shook her head. She needed to be clear-headed right now; she couldn’t just accept Luke’s kindness so casually.
"I’m not hungry, let’s just go home."
Luke originally wanted to say something else, but seeing her leaning her head against the car window, looking a bit weary, he decided to hold back his words.
Back home, Eva went to her room and waited for a while before Luke came upstairs. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"Here." She handed him a document pouch.
"This serious?" Luke was a bit puzzled but reached out to take the pouch she offered, opened it, and took out the document.
A marriage agreement?
What is this thing?
Luke frowned as he read through the document, his expression growing angrier with each line.
"Eva Miller, is it necessary to use this to restrain me?"
Eva felt uneasy hearing his tone, and Luke snorted, tossing the document to the floor.
"Don’t be like this, just, just sign it so I can feel a bit more at ease."
Eva wondered if she was being overly anxious. The contents of the agreement were merely the conditions she had told Luke before they got married.
A two-year marriage validity, during which they would only have the title of husband and wife without the intimacy, and she had even secretly added a clause allowing for early termination of the marriage...
"I’m not signing." Luke didn’t even know what he was fussing over; two years were quite a long time. Was she so certain that after two years she would still have no feelings for him?
Wanting to withdraw completely? Impossible.
"Luke Land, not signing means you’re admitting you have ulterior motives!"
She was already somewhat uneasy about Luke; he was so cunning in business. What if, when the two years were up, he refused to divorce, what would she do?
Also, what if one day he had some ill intentions towards her, where would she go to cry?
"Sign it right now." Eva picked up the document from the ground and shoved both it and a pen into his hand.
Ha, childish, thinking that signing this legally useless piece of paper would have any effect?
"I advise you, better get it notarized by a court first. I’ve never seen a woman with less common sense." Luke said, then flung the document onto her.
