Chapter 200: Nuptial Negation

"Ethan, are you threatening your father?!" The old man’s voice was laced with an icy chill.

"If my woman finds out I’m getting married, she’ll abort the baby," Ethan said darkly.

His eldest brother had already had two daughters, and their father was desperate for a grandson—he had always preferred sons over daughters.

There was a brief pause on the other end of the line as if his father was considering something before he made his decision. "Fine, we’ll wait until the hospital confirms she’s carrying a boy. If she is, we’ll postpone the wedding until after the baby is born. If not, the wedding will be moved up."

With that, the old man hung up.

"F**k!" Ethan cursed, throwing his phone violently again.

The driver in the front seat was trembling with fear, and Ethan shot him a fierce glare. "If you say one more word, I’ll break you!"

"I didn’t hear anything... I didn’t hear anything." The driver’s face had gone pale from fright, and he quickly reassured Ethan.

There was no way he’d dare repeat anything he had heard, especially not to Miss Anderson, whom Mr. Blackwood adored.

"Cut! Let’s take a break and get ready for the final scene. Aiko, you’ll run and throw the bottle against the city wall," Lily said, her tone serious as she directed the shoot.

Aiko, who had been resting, walked over to Lily with a bright smile on her face. "You came up with a complete shooting plan in such a short time. The flow was smooth—Lily, you’re amazing."

Immediately, the other students shot Lily looks that felt like daggers.

"Smashing the bottle adds a visual impact and will help guide the final title cards in post-production," the director nodded approvingly. "For a beginner, you’re quite talented. Why are you attending such a basic film school?"

Lily smiled politely, though she knew the truth: her academic qualifications weren’t good enough for better schools. "Thank you."

Aiko smiled, too, but her eyes had a strange glint. "I’m ready to shoot now."

"Alright," Lily replied, nodding. The sooner they finished, the sooner she could leave. She really didn’t want to spend more time with Aiko than necessary.

In front of the camera, Aiko ran in the rain and threw the drink bottle against the city wall, water splashing everywhere...

Lily was just about to call "cut" when Aiko unzipped her pink athletic jacket.

In the camera, Aiko revealed a very low-cut white tank top. Soaked by the rain, the white fabric clung tightly to her body, becoming almost see-through.

Her ample chest was barely contained, her curves practically spilling out of the top.

It was seductively tempting, dangerously sexy...

"Wow!"

Lily was stunned, while the director immediately exclaimed in amazement, clapping his hands enthusiastically. "That was fantastic! The visual impact is incredible! This shot packs even more punch!"

A round of applause erupted from the crew.

Lily glanced over at Aiko, who looked back at her with a triumphant, satisfied expression... as if she had won a contest.

Lily said nothing, silently standing up from the director’s chair. Aiko hurried over to her, her face beaming with innocence. "How was my performance? Wasn’t it great?"

An assistant rushed over to help Aiko cover up with a jacket, but it didn’t do much to hide her assets.

The male crew members and students kept glancing at Aiko’s wet tank top, her ample chest stealing all the attention.

"Go dry off," Lily said coolly, noticing the men’s blatant stares. She turned to leave, but Aiko grabbed her arm.

"I’m asking you—wasn’t I good?!" Aiko’s face was full of innocent anticipation.

"You think you were great, right? Otherwise, you wouldn’t have pulled that little stunt at the end."

It was definitely an attention-grabbing move.

Especially with her sweet, angelic face paired with her daring, devilish body... It was bound to be effective.

The ad’s focus had shifted from sports to her barely contained chest...

"You don’t think it was good?" Aiko pouted. "Do you think Ethan will like it?"

So it was all for Ethan again.

She wanted Ethan to see her body on TV?

"He won’t like it! No matter what you do, he won’t like it—understand? He loves me! Now let go!" Lily said coldly, pulling her arm free. But Aiko refused to let go. "You’re lying. There’s no way Ethan wouldn’t like it."

"Don’t touch my woman!"

A menacing voice cut through the air, and everyone turned to look.

Ethan strode toward them, his 6’2" frame exuding an aura of dominance. His handsome face, sharp features, and deep, mesmerizing eyes were filled with icy anger.

"Wow... he’s so handsome!" Several girls immediately squealed.

Ethan pulled Lily behind him, glaring down at Aiko. "Why are you still hanging around like a ghost that won’t disappear?!"

"Aiko..." Aiko looked at him with wide, tear-filled eyes as if she were about to cry. "Why are you always so mean to me?"

Watching the beautiful woman cry, the bystanders couldn’t help but murmur in sympathy.

But Ethan was utterly unmoved, his voice cold as he shouted, "Are you a lesbian? Let me warn you—stop grabbing her! I don’t care about your background. If you keep messing with her, I won’t be responsible for what happens!"

It was a clear threat.

The icy look in Ethan’s eyes made Aiko step back in fear, tears streaming down her face. "But I love you!"

"I don’t love you! Get the hell back to Japan!" Ethan yelled, his patience long gone. How could his father have picked this woman as his potential bride?!

"Ethan..."

Ethan had never been one to mince words, and he didn’t care about anyone’s status or gender when angry. As Lily watched Aiko’s tearful face, she wasn’t sure what to feel.

Ethan never held back when scolding people, regardless of whether they were male or female.

"Let’s go!"

Ethan wrapped his arm around Lily and led her away. The crowd parted, making way for them.

The driver opened the door of the black Rolls-Royce, and Lily and Ethan got inside.

When seated, Ethan asked angrily, "Why the hell was Aiko there?"

How dare that woman approach Lily? Had she said anything to her?!

"She’s trying to break into the entertainment industry. She was the lead actress for that ad," Lily said. Then she added, almost as an afterthought, "She’s trying to get more exposure so you’ll see her."

Ethan raised an eyebrow and leaned in close, his hot breath brushing against her face. "Lily Anderson, are you jealous again?"

Lily shook her head.

This time, she didn’t feel much jealousy. After witnessing Ethan yell at Aiko so harshly... what was there to be jealous of?

Suddenly, a phone rang inside the car. Lily glanced toward the sound and saw the phone lying beneath the front seat.

"You threw your phone?" Lily asked in surprise. Ethan had a habit of breaking things when he was angry. "What happened?"

Who had pissed him off this time?

"Nothing!"

The phone kept ringing, and Ethan glared at the driver. "Get me the phone!"

"Yes, Mr. Blackwood."

The driver quickly retrieved the phone and handed it to Ethan.

Ethan immediately turned it off and tossed it aside, the movement filled with frustration.

"What’s wrong? Are you okay?" Lily asked, concerned, as she cuddled up to him, wrapping her arms around his.

Ethan still needs to answer. He stared at her, his expression cold as he asked, "Did Aiko say anything to you?"

"What could she possibly say?" Lily replied with a bitter smile. "She said I’m monopolizing you and keeping you from seeing her."

"Is that all?"

Ethan’s gaze darkened. Did Aiko know about the arranged marriage? No way—he couldn’t let Aiko get close to Lily anymore.

"What else would there be?" Lily gave him a curious look. Ethan usually didn’t care about other people’s business. "Or is there something you’re not telling me?"

A flicker of panic crossed Ethan’s chest, but he kept his face expressionless, remaining as cold and stern as ever.

Suddenly, Ethan grabbed her chin. "Lily Anderson, are you interrogating me?"

"What, I’m not allowed to interrogate you?" Lily pretended to be upset.

"What do you think?" Ethan’s tone made it clear—of course not.

"Oh..." Lily said, feigning realization. "So you’re hiding something from me. Come on, tell me—mmph."

Before she could finish, her lips were sealed by his.

Her words were swallowed as Ethan’s hand moved from her chin to her body, pulling her close so their breaths mingled.

He kissed her deeply, his expert tongue making her melt as he slowly pushed her down onto the seat. But then, as if remembering something, Ethan shifted their position, pulling Lily on top of him so she was straddling him, creating a more intimate pose.

Lily placed her hands on his shoulders. Ethan couldn’t fully control her in this position, so she seized the opportunity to pull away. "Stop..."

The driver was still in the car...

She couldn’t act like this in front of someone else.

"Annoying!" Ethan grumbled. Couldn’t they just pretend the driver wasn’t there?! Women always made things complicated.

With a scowl, Ethan glared at the driver. "Get out!"

"Yes, Mr. Blackwood."

The driver quickly pulled the car to the side of the road. Lily immediately adjusted her position and sat up, saying, "Let’s just go home. My stomach feels a little off."

Why did he have to make such a big deal of telling the driver to leave just so they could fool around in the car? How shameless...

"What’s wrong?" Ethan asked, his brow furrowing in concern.

"I feel like I’m going to throw up." Lily pressed her hand against her neck, trying to suppress the nausea.

Ethan’s expression darkened immediately. "Lily, are you doing this on purpose?! Every time I kiss you, you feel like throwing up?!"

Lily stared at his angry face, speechless. "Feeling nauseous is a normal part of pregnancy, Ethan. Don’t you even know that?"

A flash of embarrassment crossed Ethan’s face. "I’m not a woman—how would I know?!"

"That’s just common sense!" Lily scolded, giving him a playful punch on the arm. "You’re going to be a father soon—how can you not know anything?"

"I know that pregnancy lasts ten months!" Ethan retorted, his tone defensive, as if to prove he wasn’t completely clueless.

"Wow, how impressive! Mr. Blackwood, you’re so knowledgeable—you even know it takes ten months to have a baby!" Lily joked, clapping her hands sarcastically.

The driver in the front seat struggled to hold back his laughter, his body trembling as he gripped the steering wheel tightly...

Ethan’s face grew even darker. "You think this is funny?!"

The driver immediately straightened up, his laughter gone in an instant. "I’m sorry, Mr. Blackwood!"

"What’s so strange about a man not knowing women’s stuff?!" Ethan growled, glaring at Lily, who seemed holding back laughter. "Lily, stop laughing!"
