70s Delicate Girl: A Guide to Being a Rich Woman-Chapter 292: Confronting Yun Luo (11)
Although she felt a bit embarrassed, she still wanted to learn more from Professor Song through Xu Mumu.
"What’s up with you and Xu Mumu? How come you two are so close?" Shen Ya said through gritted teeth. Clearly, it was she and Su Yue’e who had a better relationship, but now Xu Mumu had stolen Su Yue’e away; how could she be happy about that?
"Really? I actually want that." Su Yue’e wished her relationship with Xu Mumu could be better. In her freshman year, she couldn’t really get involved in much laboratory work, which left her feeling a bit melancholic, as if all her enthusiasm had no outlet.
"You, Yue’e, we are the ones who are friends." Shen Ya said, not pleased, looking at Su Yue’e.
"I know, we are friends, but being friends with you doesn’t stop me from making other friends." Su Yue’e said calmly, "I’m going to the canteen to eat; do you want to come?"
"No, you just go by yourself." Shen Ya said angrily, then turned and left.
Watching Shen Ya leave in anger, Su Yue’e shrugged, thinking she was quite petty, then went to eat by herself.
Shen Ya recently made some money and started to act haughty, making her less likable to Su Yue’e day by day.
Xu Mumu didn’t know about the matter between the two. In the afternoon, she only had two classes, so she planned to go to the library to read. She hadn’t finished the books Professor Song recommended to her and hadn’t fully grasped them yet.
"Xu Mumu, I’m going to the library too; let’s go together." Su Yue’e came over.
"Okay." Xu Mumu nodded without refusing.
The two arrived at the library, which was so quiet that only the sound of flipping pages could be heard, making it very serene. Xu Mumu particularly enjoyed this atmosphere.
But soon, her mood wasn’t as pleasant anymore, as Yun Luo once again sat across from Xu Mumu.
"Mumu, long time no see." Yun Luo greeted Xu Mumu with a smiling face. Naturally, she also knew about Yin Yang’s injury. Her brother had already told her, and she was very angry—her brother acted without telling her first, even though he knew she liked Yin Yang.
But now that it had happened, what could she do? She could only try to remedy the situation.
"Yes, it’s been a while. Do you have something to say?" Xu Mumu looked at Yun Luo blandly. Just thinking about how Yin Yang’s injury was caused by Yun Luo’s brother made her anger surge; did they think she was easy to bully?
"No, just came to read and happened to bump into you." Yun Luo’s face still held a gentle smile.
"Hmm." Xu Mumu didn’t want to say more; she didn’t like Yun Luo, so she didn’t plan on having much interaction with her.
Su Yue’e glanced up at the two, then continued reading. The relationship between those two was strange, but she wasn’t overly curious. She had makeup classes the next morning, so she thought it better to make use of the time to read more.
Xu Mumu was absorbed in her book, with no intent to talk. Although Yun Luo was somewhat angry, she didn’t show it, and the library wasn’t a place to chat anyway.
She had always wanted to know where Yin Yang lived. Unfortunately, when she sent people to investigate, they were constantly blocked. She knew this was probably Yin Yang’s doing. She had no other way but to start with Xu Mumu, who certainly knew where Yin Yang lived.
At the end of the school day, Xu Mumu went to check out a book. With Yin Yang still lying at home and undoubtedly bored, she decided to head back early.
She hadn’t gone far when Yun Luo followed. Seeing Yun Luo’s persistent shadow, Xu Mumu silently rolled her eyes.
"Mumu, wait a minute. I have something to tell you." Yun Luo gracefully walked up from behind. Xu Mumu squinted slightly; Yun Luo was beautiful, walking gracefully like a character from a classical painting—truly quite captivating.
So beautiful, yet Yin Yang didn’t like her; in terms of looks, she felt inferior.
"What’s up?" Xu Mumu said blandly, looking at Yun Luo, who had come before her. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
"I want to know where brother Yin Yang lives?" Yun Luo didn’t want to beat around the bush with Xu Mumu; more than playing nice with her, she was concerned about Yin Yang’s condition.
"Brother Yin Yang? You call him quite affectionately." Xu Mumu tightened her grip on the book. If it were the apocalypse, she’d throw the woman trying to snatch her man to the zombies to feast on.
"I grew up with brother Yin Yang; isn’t it natural?" Yun Luo maintained a gentle smile.
"Unfortunately, I heard your family and Yin Yang’s family are mortal enemies, and your brother nearly killed him. Didn’t he tell you? You two are quite something, one playing the good cop, the other the bad cop?" Xu Mumu mocked Yun Luo, not caring about tearing off any facade, since they were never actually friendly.
Yun Luo’s face stiffened, almost losing her soft demeanor for a moment. "Brother Yin Yang actually told you these things." Yun Luo felt terrible. What did Yin Yang’s actions signify? She couldn’t be clearer—he truly recognized Xu Mumu; she was the future Lady of the Yin Family.
"Is that so surprising? Yin Yang said he doesn’t like you at all, so Yun Luo, an unwilling thing isn’t sweet. You can’t force what’s not yours." Xu Mumu curled her lips slightly.
"You’re lying, it’s impossible. Did you badmouth me in front of brother Yin Yang?" Yun Luo’s face turned pale for a moment, then she looked at Xu Mumu viciously.
"Heh, stop being narcissistic. Yin Yang couldn’t be bothered to mention you. I have things to do, no time for chit-chat." Xu Mumu smiled faintly, then turned and left, leaving Yun Luo as if struck by lightning.
She couldn’t believe it, wouldn’t believe Yin Yang would treat her like this—it must be Xu Mumu lying to her. Xu Mumu must know where Yin Yang is; following her could definitely lead to him.
With these thoughts, Yun Luo didn’t rush but followed Xu Mumu slowly.
Being followed by Yun Luo, Xu Mumu naturally noticed immediately.
Raising an eyebrow, she turned away from her original path home, heading to the black market instead.
Yun Luo seldom went out; whatever she needed, Mrs. Zhang would provide. Naturally, she didn’t know where Xu Mumu intended to go.
Seeing Yun Luo follow her into the black market, Xu Mumu slightly curled her lips; it’s good she came. The black market was a mixed bag and not a place for dainty girls like Yun Luo, who would definitely be targeted.
Of course, her own appearance was also attracting, but with her combat skills and past apocalypse experience, these people, no matter how skilled, were no match for those superpowered zombies. Avoiding them was a piece of cake.
Xu Mumu bought whatever items she needed, while Yun Luo, uninterested in the surrounding stalls, didn’t bother to notice; she was only focusing on Xu Mumu.
Xu Mumu headed to the crowded part, and then, in a few moves, disappeared without a trace.
Having lost track of Xu Mumu, Yun Luo panicked a bit and searched around, finding no one.
