Chapter 100: Hour of Mercy Ended

Light had finally left the house with Pacifica in tow, now without a crow mask on his face, the only reason being that what he planned to do would involve a fairly high dose of gas bombs.

The group of forty were waiting with Leonard, Kyle and Duke at their head. Charles and his group were to stay and guard Utopia this time.

When Light got in front of the group, he shook his head and then began to speak without waiting:

"Ladies and gentlemen! WE ARE GOING HUNTING!"

Immediately after he shouted this, the soldiers stood at attention.

"We’re going to hunt those sons of bitches who tear women to pieces and bury them around as if they were a warning, and we’re not going back to Utopia until we bring down the church! Either we die in this hunt or we don’t stop until every one of our prey is dead! UNDERSTAND, SOLDIER?!" shouted Light, and with his shout, the group of forty men shouted in unison:

"YES SIR! ON YOUR COMMAND!!!"

With this shout, the soldiers who were divided into groups got on the vehicles, the first stop was Birmingham directly. The moment Elise’s Roan group left Birmingham, the church must have collapsed there, there was no way it could not have happened.

That’s why Light gave a direct order:

"Kill every single person you think is from the church, shoot them non-stop and set them on fire if they appear to be dead. There is not a single good person in Birmingham, I have already checked them all, don’t worry and slaughter them mercilessly. The hour of mercy is over. Over."

The reason why he gave such an order was that he had checked every human being in Birmingham with his inspection ability.

Due to the cold and the virus, the population of Birmingham, which was only thirty thousand people, was observed by Light in an hour, and Light chased a group of nearly four hundred people and took them to his land.

In short, there were only people with bad minds in Birmingham.

Every one of them had committed a crime and in Light’s eyes had no right to be a human being, and it would be better for everyone if they died.

Yet Light was not cruel, he would not harm anyone who was not of the church, which is why he had ordered the group to do so.

It took only three hours to reach Birmingham. There was a heavy snowfall and this affected their journey.

When the group looked around, even after the heavy snowfall, they could see that the drawings of these distorted and unknown religious figures had increased.

This meant that Light’s thoughts were correct.

"Birmingham has already been taken over, be careful. Over." Light muttered over the radio.

With that, Wolverhampton was reached and eyes began to watch the surroundings carefully. Dozens of dead bodies lay frozen in place. Zombies seemed to be scattered around.

The distorted and unknown religious figures drawn on the walls of the houses with graffiti paint were intimidating.

Light frowned at this, even the veins in his throat were exposed from clenching his teeth.

He looked at the houses around him and then, pulling out hundreds of planks and burning materials, shouted, "Burn the houses!"

The whole group was so blood-soaked that no one was surprised by this order and, on the contrary, decided to do it with great pleasure.

Firewood, planks and other materials to be burnt were quickly taken to the ground floors of the houses and after only five minutes more than thirty houses were on fire.

The atmosphere was almost like hell. Light could see people watching them from a distance, but he didn’t care about anything, every time he used his inspection ability, he could see more and more bad people around him.

Each of them had a sign of fear on their faces, but as Light said, the hour of mercy was over.

Light was ordering every house he saw around to be broken into and every minute another house was set on fire.

"IF YOU CAN COMMIT CRIME, YOU CAN SURVIVE OUTSIDE IN THE ICE COLD!!!" Light suddenly shouted.

The Inspection ability seemed to have evolved, Light had been a fool not to check it.

When he looked at people’s profiles, their evil deeds were revealed to Light, and that was the only reason why he was so angry.

Every single person he saw had the single word [Cannibalism] written on their profile.

They were unforgivable.

The footsteps of the soldiers were lost in the snow, but none of them cared about anything, yet every one of them was aware of Light’s anger.

No one, including Leonard himself, had ever seen him so angry before, and if they could have seen his face they would have realised what it meant.

Light instantly reached for his walkie-talkie and then said, "Every one of these sons of bitches are cannibals, don’t leave a single one alive. Over."

With Light’s words, it was clear to everyone why he was so angry. Not only him, but the whole group was mad with anger.

As soon as Leonard received the order, he raised his gun and shot three people perhaps a hundred metres away without waiting and then ordered the soldiers to advance.

With one step at a time, the group moved towards the centre of Birmingham. Every house was being demolished and they were especially careful not to leave anything behind.

One by one, each of the people Light had shown them were being killed, and strangely enough, it was possible to find a few well-coated people.

Every one of these people, shivering with fear and cold, had been rescued by the soldiers. This group of twenty people, mostly young boys, perhaps 12 to 16 years old, had chosen to trust Light’s soldiers.

After all, each of these children had seen how the bastards who had torn them from their families had been riddled with bullets.

Light had come to the aid of each of them like a god.

Mercy was there for them, but for the enemies, the hour of mercy was truly over. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

The Church and those who joined them would be destroyed.
