A Regressor's Guide to the Frozen Apocalypse-Chapter 53: Quite The Improvment
Chapter 53: Quite The Improvment
Light felt as if the number of zombies coming one after the other had decreased slightly, but the zombie horde near the wall could not be ignored.
Even though hundreds of zombies had been killed, the fact that so many zombies were still alive indicated how terrible their situation was.
They were lucky that the number of mutants had decreased considerably. There were only about 5 mutant zombies left, which reduced the danger to a degree close to the zero index.
The group managed to get a small amount of rest. It got dark and the heavy snowfall began to show itself again. Snow falling at this rate could accumulate almost five or six metres of snow on the ground by morning.
The snowflakes were falling so big and fast that the group had to take shelter inside, but there was no way for them to do so. After all, they were surrounded and it was obvious that they would be stuck here unless the danger was minimised even further.
Especially when the sense of danger was growing in Light’s heart, he could not do such a thing. The danger had to be minimised.
"We will rest in turn, the number of zombies has decreased a little, we can relax a little," said Light suddenly, the group needed to rest.
That’s why he took out an umbrella from his inventory and then set up a huge tent while trying to block out the snow, he had to provide at least an hour or two of sleep for the people.
Since the tent was state-of-the-art technology, it was able to keep the body seriously warm and provide a good rest on top of that. After all, he had given the same tents to Leonard and the others, so he knew their quality very well.
"Are we going to be all right, sir?" asked Neo suddenly, the stress on his body was immense, you could see on his face that he was about to faint from the stress, but he was managing to stay on his feet despite it all. Nothing less could be expected of a mercenary.
"We’ll be fine as long as we rest, but I still can’t understand why the people who delivered the reports didn’t tell us about all these events." When Light said this, everyone in the group agreed with what he said.
Light himself had said that the people who reported were not bad individuals, so it was really unlikely that there was anything wrong with their reports.
That’s what was so scary. Light’s heart had officially fallen into black waters. After all, his skill could have told him something wrong, or something could have changed the energy of the people who had reported to them.
Maybe a mutant had taken control of them, and maybe what Light feared most had happened:
Another skill user might be trying to take over what was his.
Still, Light knew very well that he wouldn’t be able to get the answers to these questions right now, after all, they would be answered at Elise’s headquarters. This seemed to indicate that they should get away from here as fast as possible.
Light wanted to kill all the zombies, after all, there were hundreds of zombie corpses down there, from mutant zombies to normal zombies. Even the possibility of gaining just 1 essence from them could make Light incredibly strong.
Even just one status point meant an official level increase. That was the only reason why Light went zombie hunting instead of returning home.
Amid these thoughts, it came to Light’s mind that he hadn’t checked the status window for a long time, it might be good to try to get stronger in such a disgusting situation.
"Status window." Light said in a low voice, and the window he had not seen for a long time opened in front of him: freeωebnovēl.c૦m

When Light looked at the window in front of him, he was both very happy and very sad. The reason for his joy was that his System Points had increased by a huge amount. The reason he was sad was because he hadn’t had a good level increase.
Still, he had little idea why this increase was so low. When he and Pacifica entered the zombie lair, the experience points he gained from the zombies they killed were much less than he could gain by killing them himself, which he realised after careful calculation.
Light was able to gain experience points when he slaughtered zombies or mutant zombies that were with him and gave him items or food and drink. However, the number of experience points he gained was quite low.
If he normally earns 100 experience points from a zombie he slaughtered, if he managed to kill this zombie with the items he gave to someone else, the experience points he earned this time dropped to 10.
This was an incredible drop.
Nevertheless, Light was still more than satisfied with his situation. With the 6 skill points he had hidden before and the 32 skill points he had gained now, he had exactly 38 skill points. Even if he just invested these points into his intelligence stat, he would become the smartest person in the world.
It would be normal to say that he had indeed become incredibly strong after these points were distributed.
Despite all this, this wasn’t what Light was most happy about. With his current power status, he was able to knock down a tier 3 mutant zombie and hold it for a while without difficulty. When he managed to distribute his skill points correctly, it would be the thing he wanted the most.
With his strength alone, he would be able to hold the heads of zombies and tear them off.
