A Regressor's Guide to the Frozen Apocalypse-Chapter 84: Cleaning Newtown As Quick As Possible
Chapter 84: Cleaning Newtown As Quick As Possible
Pacifica had sent a quick message to Lawrence, asking for a few people to be ready. Many engineers had already begun to move towards Newtown on Pacifica’s orders. Accompanied by dozens of guards, they began marching to Light’s aid.
Light had checked the entire group and found that there were only fifty people with bad attitudes in a large group of three hundred people.
A background check of these people showed that each of them had already committed different crimes. Public theft, harassment and many more were visible.
George was so angry that he had all fifty of these people killed and none of them released. He seemed to fear that in the future these bastards would harm innocent people.
However, everything was prepared. All the people of Warwick Castle and the surrounding area were ready to board the dozen or so vehicles that Light had brought out and set off.
The destination was the Newtown area of Powys.
Light had already been there to check it out, and as a result, he had found the whole town virtually empty. There were few survivors and there would be little danger of them joining the Forsaken.
Newtown did not have many zombies. The fact that they only had a population approaching 13000 people made everything much easier.
It may have been the largest town in Powys, but it still wasn’t a city or anything like that. So that meant that another power centre could be put there.
So a power centre could be set up under Light’s command, right under their noses, maybe within thirty minutes’ drive.
After another journey of almost an hour, the group made it to Newtown. There were zombies around, of course, but at least not in large numbers.
Light himself had made sure that those of the Forsaken who were able to fight were given a gun and a few rounds of ammunition, because the dark places, the inside of the houses, needed to be cleaned.
The weather was cold and people were already barely surviving, so the cleaning work had to be started immediately.
Allen, the electrical engineer, and several labourers managed to reach Newtown from Light’s compound. Everything was ready.
Light took out his M4A1 as usual, and then, after checking the weapon completely, he gave the command to those who could fight to advance.
There were two hundred people in the Forsaken group who could fight. Only a general population of a hundred people needed protection, and of course, they were protected with fifty soldiers.
In other words, the remaining one hundred and fifty people started to advance only to clean the houses.
Every house where there were signs of life was entered to help, and most of the people came out of the houses crying and thanking each other.
After only five hours of clearing, more than 600 zombies had been cleared.
With that, the centre of Newtown was cleared.
Everything was safe, although there were still zombies outside the centre. Among these zombies were Tier 4 Zombies, but there were no mutants in sight. This was excellent news.
Forsaken could be set up here.
Light took about two hundred tents out of his inventory and then told George to distribute them. These tents, which could hold a maximum of four people, briefly solved the shelter problem for the moment.
As the areas within Newtown continued to be cleared, the shelter problem would become ready to be cleared.
In short, George, Olivia and the rest of the Forsaken could see that these tents were on loan.
Only the centre itself had been cleared, so much of Newtown was still in the same state.
Light briefly ordered Allen and the others to repair a few houses in the centre and they handed over everything they needed.
At the same time, Light had put a huge surplus of supplies, enough for hundreds of people for thirty days, in the basement of the house George had chosen.
The entire basement was filled with food, even half of the second floor of the house was filled with crates of food.
Allen and the others, however, had not been able to completely clean out the plumbing drains. As a result, many things were frozen. Nevertheless, the electric cables and other items were still in working condition. In short, with the generators Light had given them that could store sunlight, everything had become easier.
"From now on it’s up to you George, if anything happens you know where to find me. I’ve already given you dozens of radios and a phone, and I didn’t forget to give you a few snowmobiles. Come find me if you need anything," Light suddenly said.
In just under ten hours he had managed to put a huge group right under his nose. This was an excellent situation.
Light was getting closer and closer to his plan.
First, he would have the power to destroy the church, then he would personally follow Percy, Liam and Karen and would not stop until he killed them.
After all this, Light and his men got back into their snowmobile and travelled back to Cefn Coch, their home.
The distance between Cefn Coch and Newtown was only thirty minutes, and that was very good. It was going to be very easy to get to.
When Light returned to his land, he greeted the necessary people and went inside the house with Pacifica. He was really tired, but he still managed to gain about twenty zombie essence from normal zombies.
It was very good that these essences were also extracted from normal zombies, the only problem was that there was no explanation of these essences, there were only the names of the essences, so Light did not know what would happen when he swallowed these essences.
However, he gained 6 levels and managed to reach level 82. His System Points had reached 44,698 and he had gained more than 10000 points.
The benefit of this one-day journey for him was enormous.
