A Regressor's Guide to the Frozen Apocalypse-Chapter 92: Nightmarish Creature (3)
Chapter 92: Nightmarish Creature (3)
It was clear that Light was ready to fire again, but when he rechecked the health of the Tier 5 Mutant Zombie in front of him, he noticed that the mutant zombie’s health had increased:
[Tier 5 Mutant ##### Zombie
Health: 106237/341793]
This meant only one thing, the more living creatures that could die around, the stronger the mutant zombie would become.
"GEORGE, GET OUT OF HERE!!!" Light suddenly shouted. George didn’t want to accept this, shaking his head from side to side and questioning himself how he could leave Light behind against such a monster.
He couldn’t betray someone who had saved him and his people and was still trying to help them in the face of another danger.
"YOU’RE JUST STEPPING IN FRONT OF ME!" shouted Light, and with that, his whole body trembled as he suddenly threw himself to the right and managed to avoid the tentacle that was suddenly coming at him.
At that moment George and the others, following Light’s orders, left the area and began to try to help the people around.
He instantly stood up from where he was and then pointed the shotgun at the mutant zombie and pulled the trigger without even thinking twice:
"BANG!!!"
Unfortunately, Light couldn’t aim properly, the shotgun bullets were scattered all over the place and only one or two fragmented bullet fragments pointed at the mutant zombie.
Nevertheless, the momentum of the bullet had managed to wipe almost five thousand lives from the mutant zombie’s health bar.
Light was constantly jumping around and trying to avoid the tentacles coming at him one after the other. Unfortunately, he couldn’t avoid every single one.
Suddenly, a tentacle swiped right at his leg and managed to deliver an incredibly hard blow to Light’s leg.
"ARGHK!!!"
Light gave a small push and then stumbled and fell to the ground.
Thanks to his stamina and the sturdiness of his body, he had indeed come back from the dead, because losing his leg now meant that he would be eaten by the mutant zombie directly in front of him.
He was slightly overwhelmed by the fact that the most dangerous thing he had encountered after that plant variation mutant that was likely to be found in Tamworth was now in front of him.
Light stood up directly and despite the immense pain and soreness in his leg, he loaded his shotgun directly and fired twice in quick succession:
"BANG!"
"Chk-Chk!"
"BANG!"
Each of the two consecutive shots reached the mutant zombie’s chest, and each of the bullets that disintegrated into fragments became visible.
At that moment, Light’s entire torso grabbed a tentacle and the tentacle began to pull him towards the mutant zombie.
Light was trying to free himself, but he had no idea what to do, his arms were stuck to his body by the tentacle.
The mutant zombie’s mouth was getting bigger and bigger, the mutant zombie was going to eat Light, and it was not difficult to realise that.
Light was so sure that he was going to die, that he thought that he should not send George and the others away.
Nevertheless, he had a deep thought that he could not give up here. The flame in his eyes was still unquenched and he realised that no one could extinguish it.
Immediately an idea came to her, a fact she had learnt when her sister came to check on her and she was out of the inventory.
He shouted "INVENTORY" in his mind and after a little struggle, he instantly found himself in that white space.
It was as if he had not reached for his inventory and the ability itself had deliberately put him there.
Light was gasping for breath, he had fallen on the zombie essences he had thrown into his inventory. He was trying to pull himself together, he couldn’t let the mutant zombie get away, he didn’t want it to kill any more people and restore his health bar.
At that moment he took off his trousers and checked his left leg. His left leg was completely black and blue from just above the knee to his thigh, even his calf was black and blue.
He didn’t have time to sit and cry though, he wanted revenge.
"Son of a bitch!" he shouted into the white space, looking left and right in his inventory, wondering if there was anything he could use.
It was then that his eye fell back on his shotgun and he remembered that when he had fired two shots, every bit of damage had been spread across the mutant zombie.
He thought that if he went outside right now, he could kill the mutant zombie with just two shots.
He took a deep breath and then instantly stepped out of his inventory after slapping himself so that he would never regret what he had done.
The jet-black mutant zombie seemed to have moved a few metres away, leaving to look for other targets when Light disappeared.
Light looked at the mutant zombie whose back was turned, and then, without thinking, he pointed his shotgun, which was filled with bullets, towards the mutant zombie, and then fired two shots again without waiting:
"BANG!"
"Chk-Chk!"
"BANG!"
After firing two shots, the shout finally echoed in his ears:
"UUURUUUAGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
The jet-black mutant zombie was screaming, but it was still not dead, although such a scream was enough to realise that it was close to death.
Light was ready to pull a few more bullets from his inventory, but was distracted by the system window:
[Tier 5 Mutant ##### Zombie
Health: 601/341793]
Light immediately took out the knife from his waist and then started running towards the black mutant zombie that had fallen to the ground.
After a few steps, despite the pain that increased exponentially every time he stepped on it, he jumped on the black mutant zombie and then stabbed it repeatedly without stopping:
"STAB!!!"
"STAB!!!"
"STAB!!!!"
Each time, the black mutant zombie’s screams increased, and after almost ten stabs, the black mutant zombie’s every action was cut off.
The Tier 5 Mutant Zombie was dead on the spot.
