Chapter 537: Blessed Watering Can

Returning home with a bag full of the butchered flesh of the Maw of Stones, Elaina returned home with the Blessed Watering can in hand. Although she wasn’t supposed to receive another cursed object again, especially with how punishing the cursed object’s method of removing the curse was, she still ended up receiving the blessed watering can from the Village Chief. Thankfully, since this was already a blessed tool, she will not undergo the same method of dealing with the curse just to make it a blessed tool.

The watering can’s ability was quite interesting, to say the least. For the blessed hoe, it grants the ability to till a large patch of soil in one till. Not only that, but the tilled soil is so healthy that the soil can be turned into humus in one single till. It was considered by Elaina as a wonderful tool that, even though she had the tractor and trivializes tilling the fields, the blessed hoe has its uses, and it does work wonders. Now, the blessed watering can does have the same ability, but unlike the hoe, it purifies and removes impurities on whatever the water is being poured on. The Village Chief of the dwarves specifically uses that ability to clear impurities on ores and weapons during the forging process of being forged into various things.

She doesn’t know too much about the way the impurities being healed...but doesn’t that mean that she can also use this watering can to possibly remove the impurities on the World Trees? Doesn’t that mean they don’t need to isolate anyone else just to let the World Tree heal the injuries it incurred after it rotted? It is an actual possibility indeed.

When she returned, her kids were still helping out Yona around the slimes though mostly by just keeping the slimes in a herd and stopping them from moving around.

"You are back Mom, how did it go?" Arthur asked as he saw his mother approaching them.

"Problem solved. Sooner or later, the ores on the mines will return to normal. I worked with the Village of the dwarves to deal with that problem and managed to receive this watering can as a reward," Elaina explained as she then wave around the watering can before them.

"Aren’t you using watering cans less nowadays, Mom? I mostly see you rely more on sprinklers and I don’t think you went out of your way to use it much aside from some plants that has no access to any sprinklers," Layla commented, since she noticed it more before considering she was late from the children to join the squad to head to the mines to fight monsters.

"Yeah, that was when I use the regular watering can. Considering how beat up the old watering can I had, I only use it for little use and not for watering a whole field of plants. But this one is another version of the blessed tools. Remember the blessed hoe?"

"The one that can till multiple tiles of the ground?" Adelaide asked, pointing over at the hoe that was leaning on the nearby shed.

"The one and only hoe I use nowadays," Elaina nodded. She then showcased the watering can and held the watering can tightly before swinging the contents into the field. In one single swing, multiple plots of land has been drenched by water in one swing. In fact, it was a lot wider than Elaina expected making this very big of a coverage that she can water the whole field by using the watering can five times.

She also noticed that a few of the plants that she have isolated before that have gotten infested by some insects also got drenched by the water and for some reason, the insects infesting the plants seems to have scattered in fear and abandoned the plant entirely. She wasn’t entirely sure how did that happen, but now that she have seen the end result, Elaina was a lot more happy about it. A hidden surprise and a welcome one at that.

"I wasn’t expecting the watering can’s range to reach that far. That’s certainly something else..." Elaina was surprised.

"Doesn’t that mean, you will get rid of the sprinklers soon?" Arthur asked.

"I don’t think Mother will do that. The watering can does wonders indeed, but she still needed to use it manually compared to the sprinklers that does its work everyday. And besides, the watering can seems to be something that mother will use a few times but not for everyday use," Raye commented, disagreeing with Arthur’s initial idea.

Elaina nodded. "I won’t be removing the sprinklers indeed. Using the sprinklers still makes automation in plants much easier without me actually needing to do anything. Still, this watering can will see uses other than regular watering sessions. And thanks to its special ability, it will never run out of water ever so we can also expect more things from this watering can more than ever."

Yona and the others were surprised by Elaina’s words. After all, isn’t it abnormal for something to have infinite contents? No matter how large something is, eventually, it will still run out of content if it wasn’t refilled. So, its a bit strange that something like the watering can has infinite water in the first place.

But instead of explaining, Elaina left them wondering if what she said is true. It’s already too complicated for her to explain things properly so she didn’t bother to do so. And besides, she can just say it must be some sort of magic happening or something. It might be hard to explain but even she has no idea how the watering can works and how it is able to refill its water without running out of it in the first place.

The materials from the butchered Maw of Stones are being segregated after she got them. Yona and the Grand Sage seems to have took an interest to some of them so she decided to give them those parts while the rest was given to Julia. Since Elaina can’t just ship the raw materials straight to the market, Elaina has to reprocess them into something else and with the help of Julia, she will have to repurpose those materials into something that she can sell for a fair amount of price without alerting anyone about the Maw of Stones.

As for the meat, Shardu and Zaza took feast over it. Elaina didn’t want to eat the meat even though it does look juicy when grilled. Considering they came from the Maw of Stones that looked like a worm, she refuses to partake in the feast.

Now, her next task is to try and see if the watering can does work wonders over at the World Tree. Seeing it purifies the pests in plants, she hoped that if she uses this the soil where the World Tree is growing is purified slowly but surely and slowly cure the World Tree from the rot which will in turn, help out with restoring the land of the dead in the process. It might not be an automatic way to solve the underlying problem, but she does hope it does have some kind of work at the very least.

With the blessed watering can in hand, she opens up the portal and returned to the Land of the Dead.
