Elaina practiced the incomplete song, and although the music is great in the ears, and how it changes the surroundings while the music is playing, it doesn’t change the fact that the song is still in its infancy and is incomplete. This results in music with an effect that can make some sort of intended effect, but can’t fully utilize its purpose due to the lack of the necessary components to make it work.

Even Adelaide also noticed the song’s missing "oomph" after Elaina mastered the actual sheet of music. Since she knows the music of harmonica a lot since her last life, it is not that hard for her to notice the missing piece the longer she listens on the music.

"I thought this music is a unique one after learning that it was an elf who made this music but after fully listening to it, I just realized that it was incomplete and it’s only main use is a regular music piece," Adelaide said to her mother one day when she saw her mother playing the music once again.

"It doesn’t change a thing that this music is still made from elven origin. Is there even any kind of music capable of conjuring such illusions every time it is played? I am not even using magic or mana just to conjure it unconsciously," Elaina said as she looked around while the illusions are slowly fading.

"Still, I have been wracking my brain on what is the main purpose of this music in the first place. Considering that this music is made by an elf, I don’t think this music is just a regular music without any kind of usage. Even if it is made for fun, an elf wouldn’t be making a half-assed work like this."

"You think this is half-assed?" Elaina was surprised.

"Yeah. Although the music is already complete and is very long, when you start playing the music, it comes off incomplete in the process. The music, seems to have no direction at all. It is like a lover looking for its missing partner or something."

Adelaide is spot on especially on her analogy. Thanks to the missing piece of the music, the music’s meaning became useless and a bit of incomprehensible if someone music literate tries listening to it. And the fact that it comes from two races, she might be pretty accurate in terms of the idea.

"Nevertheless, even if this music seems awkward to listen, it is still a good music to play and thanks to its complicated notes, I have gained mastery over its difficult notes. Playing music with these notes in the future won’t be a big problem for me."

Harvest day, last day.

After finishing the harvest of crops with everyone, Elaina finally cleared out her schedule that she has been delaying for quite some time.

Like always, she made sure to talk with Julia about this matter and get her permission to leave. Of course, she agreed and with permission, Elaina is now heading back to the pixies and look for the dragon knight.

She is not sure whether the dragon knight has remained there after he recovered from his wounds. After all, he is not a human and dragons has faster regenerative abilities. Even though his wounds were considered to be fatal for a regular human, for a dragon like him, that wound won’t take too long to heal.

However, she has no other clue where he would be going so she hopes he is still there and if he ever left, she hopes that the dragon knight left clues to where he will be going.

Using her ability to open a portal, she reopened the path to the cave once more.

After reopening the path and entering it, Elaina was surprised at the surroundings after she emerged from the door.

Every time she opens the door, the wasteland of the Land of the Dead is the first thing that would appear on her eyes. It wasn’t a scenery that would change considering it is the Land of the Dead they are talking about.

But today, instead of the barren wasteland, she saw a lush greenery in the surrounding area. Grass and small trees have emerged out of nowhere, making the scenery a bit out of place compared to the barren wasteland that still exist all over the place.

Even the cave of the pixies that was once part of the wasteland has been terraformed to a grove. The only thing this grove have with other groves is that this is more conspicuous than normal due to the fact that it is located in the middle of the wasteland.

"It seems my previous effort has indeed started the changes of the land itself. If so, it is a good thing. Sooner or later, the land of the dead will now be a different place than it should have been," Elaina muttered to herself, pleased by the changes of the place.

She continues to walk into the cave and as soon as she reach the area of the cave, multiple Pixies noticed Elaina immediately.

"Its the benefactor! She has come to visit!"

"The guardian of her Highness has returned! Tell the elder!"

The pixies were quite pleasee by Elaina’s arrival that Elaina was not used to the attention she have received.

"Oh? Is that Miss Elaina I see?"

On the ground is a pixie that is a pixie who have already gotten rid of his bandages. He now wears his clothes once more and he doesn’t look like he has been under tremendous pain.

"Ragunna, it seems you have finally recovered from your pain?" Elaina looks at Ragunna with interest.

"Indeed. Thanks to the World Tree’s powers, my healing progress has been cut short, allowing me to heal majority of my injuries pretty quickly."

"Good to know that you have recovered so far."

Ragunna nodded with a smile before he started probing Elaina. "What is your purpose for visit, Miss Elaina? Are you here to visit the World Trees or are you here to just visit the Pixies?"

"Oh, actually, I came here looking for the Dragon Knight. I have a business with him. Is he still here?" Elaina asked.

"Oh, the Dragon Knight? Yes, he is still here. Would you like to meet him?"

Elaina nodded.

"Then head to the second World Tree deep into the cave. He has remained there ever since he recovered his wounds. He would only leave the place once he needed to find food but otherwise, he stayed holed up over there and is playing music."

"Playing music?" Elaina was intrigued.

"Yes. He holds a small wind instrument and plays a sad song there once in a while. There are some fairies who liked listening to his songs said that his songs seems to be about longing and companionship. It is quite sad to hear but also has a hint of hope of reconnection and reunion. Many of the fairies who lost their loved ones can symphatize and understand the deep meaning of his songs," Ragunna further explained.

Elaina is now sure of it. The Dragon Knight is the person he is looking for.
