Chapter 556: Serpent Vs Dragon [I]

"[You look like you have an idea, Elaina. You thought of something?]" the God of Farming asked, a bit curious on what Elaina has been thinking about.

She is not sure either but she is a bit curious if what she is thinking might actually work. After all, this method is something that she has only proven to be effective on a plant.

"Perhaps we can try the blessed watering can? I am not sure about this method but since that tool of mine is capable of cleansing the curse that was plaguing the World Tree and completely get rid of it, perhaps we can try to also have Mier soak her cursed arm to the water that came from the blessed watering can?" Elaina revealed the idea that entered her mind the moment they mentioned that Mier’s case is considered as a curse.

"[Hmm, that can work indeed. However, considering that the watering can and its blessing is considered only as something that only works for the plants, we cannot guarantee that the watering can method is going to show any effective effects.]" the Goddess of Medicine is a bit doubtful it will work.

"[If it works on the plants and we needed it to work for Mier, then how about we utilize a plant so that the blessing will transfer to the Mier?]" the God of Farming suggested.

"Utilize a plant?" Elaina frowned.

"[What I mean is that we have Mier’s arm covered by a plant, then we pour the water coming from the blessed watering can, allowing the blessing to activate and have its power also affect the curse on her arm.]" The God of Farming explained.

"[If that is the case, only the plant will be able to enjoy the effects of the water. The actual arm will remain in its current state! Unless her arm becomes one with the plant!]" The Goddess of Medicine argued which is also a valid point.

"[Then, since he mentioned that we utilize a plant, how about he engineer a special plant that would synchronize with a human? Something like wrapping a leaf on someone would allow the leaf to also simulate the part it was attached into?]" the Goddess of Taming suggested.

The two gods who are bickering suddenly stopped and looked at the Goddess of Taming, wondering how she even managed to think of that idea. Elaina also nodded in agreement.

"I think her suggestion grants some merit there. But can the God of Farming make a plant like that? Is it even possible?" Elaina asked. She is sure the God of Farming is capable of making various plants out of pocket and create one for his preferences but can he actually make the same plant that they are trying to make?

The God of Farming smiled and nodded. "[You guys underestimate me. A plant that can synchronize and have its effects be impacted to the part being synchronized? Then let me do it. No need to worry too much.]"

Once he said that, he quickly went to work and left the two goddesses.

"[Welp, there he goes. It seems that he wanted to inflate his ego and have himself show off what he is capable of. It always works how he cannot handle things like that easily. Still, since he said he will do it, you can tell he will do it.]" The Goddess of Medicine chuckled.

Elaina scratches her head. "Will he quickly finish that?"

The Goddess of Medicine shrugged. "[He takes quite a while to make those plants of his but just wait for sometime. He might be able to make it as fast as you might think. Perhaps even later, you will get to see the results.]"

Although it is indeed urgent, Elaina can’t rush the God of Farming. He is making something from scratch and it is something that is not found normally in plants. And this plant will need to be catered and fully tailored to fit the needs for Mier’s case.

"Alright, looks like the only thing I can do is wait for the God of Farming to be done with his work. I don’t think there is an existing plant that can help her current situation. The only thing I can do right now is to prepare the plot for the plant to grow."

Elaina closes the almanac and grabs the blessed hoe, preparing to begin. She needs to ensure that once the seed is ready, the plot of land needed is also prepared.

During this time, the battle against the gigantic serpent is already rising in tension and seems to be still far from the climax. Rakkan and the others have already inflicted quite heavy wounds on the serpent and have already removed a few scales, allowing them to reveal the skin hiding underneath them.

Despite this, many of the adventurers have already been battered to the bone especially the melee adventurers and defenders. Considering that the defenders are the most battered people due to them continuously receiving the brunt of the attacks of the Leviathan, its somewhat a miracle that they are still capable of standing and even still capable of holding their shields tight.

"Hold tight people! I am not permitting anyone to die on me here! Everyone needs to return with everyone else back to the surface!" Rakkan rallies the other adventurers who are now reeling from their injuries. Despite the healing of their wounds slowly happening and closing the open wounds and erasing the bruises, its not fast enough as more wounds appear faster.

"This snake just refuses to go down!" Rakkan is worried about his companions. He is not worried about his wounds as he prefers to have more wounds on his body as that will increase his power, but since it was an innate power of his, it’s not shared with his companions. They are not getting any benefits when they receive more damage in their body. Not only will they get in big trouble if their injuries worsen, they might end up dying as well.

Rakkan’s eyes darts around the body and injuries of the Leviathan. Is there a way for him and his group to actually turn the tide back to their advantage?

"[Elaina! I have done it!]" the God of Farming sends a message to Elaina, causing the latter to be startled as she was putting her attention to her current work, which is creating the needed plot of land for the plant that the God of Farming is about to make.

"Hmm? What do you mean you have done it?" Elaina stopped what she was doing and looked up as she noticed a bird is flapping above her head. It’s a green parrot that Elaina usually sees whenever the God of Farming fetches something from her. Looks like it is delivering an item this time around.

"[My familiar is currently carrying the seed I created for the curse. This should allow us to utilize its properties to have the blessed watering can’s water to purify and remove the curse on the child’s arm. I made sure that this plant grow as fast as possible as we needed it to beat a curse from spreading. Just ensure that you use the fertilizer to cut off more time with its growth time.]"

The bird hovers above Elaina before dropping a pouch with the seed inside. Inside it is a seed as big as a quail egg.

"Let’s get this seed growing then."
