Chapter 518: 230 Sky Nets and Earth Nets_3

"The military will protect you, I assure you," shouted a General with a hint of excitement, "Captain, you are an Empire soldier, the glory of the Empire! Come back!"

Yang Ming was silent for a few seconds and then spoke softly, "If Admiral Thomas were here today, I wouldn’t refuse, but... sorry, the promises you’ve made cannot represent the Empire’s high-ranking officials, I need to ensure my last bit of dignity."

Disappointment showed on the faces of the three Generals.

The minister asked, "Can you summarize your conditions? Although I don’t believe you can leave in peace tonight."

In hand, Yang Ming held the hourglass and said slowly:

"My conditions have already been stated, just three: first, my freedom cannot be restricted; second, I cannot be thrown into a nutrient tank or sliced apart; third, I need a formal promise from the true high echelons of the Empire.

"Additionally, I don’t want the Empire to harass my family. If they encounter any problems, I will retaliate against the issuer and executor of the command without any hesitation.

"Tonight, I will give the Empire three gifts, as a continued contribution to the Empire.

"The first gift is a new type of Insect Detection Device, the second gift is the basic formula for a New Federation Biochemical Transformation Soldier enhancement injection, and the third gift is a website. Everyone can search for the Empire’s ancient language of the White Ghost half an hour from now."

He calmly put on his helmet.

"Attention all units!" Captain Griss grabbed the walkie-talkie inside the RV, "Capture the White Ghost alive!"

Suddenly, turmoil erupted in the studio.

The White Ghost threw the hourglass, which projected a bright red countdown:

00:00:55.

A squad of guards rushed into the studio, the staff and the five ministers scrambled out, and only Hui Saka calmly organized the documents in front of him before being grabbed by the White Ghost.

"Oh! Brother! What are you doing?" Hui Saka yelled in a hurry.

The White Ghost pulled Hui Saka into a dim corner.

Suddenly, the building lost power, and darkness enveloped everything, with emergency lights quickly turning on.

From some unknown source, thick smoke spread rapidly, throwing the scene into complete chaos.

Ten seconds later, a red halo appeared around the White Ghost, who charged straight for the window through which he had come.

Crash!

The White Ghost broke through the glass.

Outside, beams from searchlights targeted the White Ghost.

Griss was ready; at least a hundred attack boats simultaneously activated magnetic capture devices; a series of clangs came from below the building as large alloy nets flew towards the White Ghost.

The White Ghost appeared frozen in mid-air.

But immediately after, a flurry of gasps rose from the crowd below. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

The White Ghost burst into a bright red light, washing out like tidal waves in all directions. He flipped mid-air, brandishing a Light Sword in hand, and with vectored fire jets spraying from behind, he accelerated towards the nets below.

Biochemical Soldiers and transformed people were lined up along the building’s edge, ready for the fight!

The White Ghost plunged into the net and crashed to the ground.

Below, Supermodified people and transformed people swarmed in, and the scene descended into chaos.

Inside the RV, Captain Griss watched the scene with tension.

He didn’t believe the White Ghost would be captured so easily.

Sure enough!

A plume of smoke rapidly expanded, enveloping six floors of the building in an instant, with explosions sounding from within the smoke.

"Captain, should we order a kill shot? The White Ghost is likely to escape!"

"What’s the order from above?"

"We need to capture him alive!"

"If we kill him, we’ll all be executed by the higher-ups!"

Griss’ eyes flickered with doubt as he looked up at the floor where the studio was, continuing to deploy a large number of warriors to completely seal off the periphery of the smoke.

Just then!

A shadow darted out of the smoke and plunged into the crowd.

"The White Ghost has escaped!"

"The White Ghost has entered the crowd!"

"What are you all waiting for! Catch up to him at once!"

Griss roared, "The space fleet, lock down the territory! Don’t let him leave the planet’s surface! Air units, lock onto his position, and don’t harm the civilians!"

In the crowd, the White Ghost moved swiftly, stepping on the shoulders of the people and retreating at high speed. The attacking boats above cast down beams of light, with hover-armored vehicles looming in the background.

Suddenly, the way ahead opened up.

Shadows stirred in the darkness.

A few searchlights swept over them, and silence struck Captain Griss’ command center, the remote command posts, and the soldiers on the Empire’s attack boats almost in unison.

The open space was a square, filled with people, all adult men and women.

Most of them had completed temporary disguises, wearing tactical helmets and gray and white ’COS’ suits.

A row of White Ghosts began moving slowly forward, hand in hand.

The White Ghost leapt up and upon landing, stood in the middle of the clear space.

He turned his head back and gestured victoriously, as the crowd surged forward, absorbing him into their midst.

"Damn!"

Griss clenched his mouth tight, his eyes flickering.

"Captain, what do we do! There must be thousands of people!"

"Catch them all! Check each one!" Griss took a deep breath, "Verify whether the White Ghost has left, scan towards the ground, especially the sewer system! If he wants to avoid a search by blending into the crowd, that would be the most unwise decision!"

"Got it!"

Griss looked at the lingering smoke outside the window, his gaze flickering slightly. He handed over command to a remote control center and pulled out another walkie-talkie.

"Did anyone engage with the White Ghost head-on when he fell just now?"

The channel was silent.

"No, Captain Griss."

"Good, Captain Catherine, start your operation. The target... Hui Saka, he must be captured alive."

"Understood."

Captain Catherine’s response was utterly calm.
