Aísē: My Five Supernatural Wives-Chapter 103: A Cat Saved The Day (Well almost)
The cathedral shook violently as Liliana and Mephistopheles clashed with explosive force. Dark energy and hellfire erupted from their every movement, shattering pews and sending debris flying in all directions.
Victor threw himself over Mariabelle protectively, shielding her from the chaos.
"Holy shit! They’re tearing the place apart!" he shouted over the deafening roar of their battle.
Mephistopheles unleashed a barrage of shadow spikes that slammed into Liliana’s defenses like meteors. The succubus demoness countered with a whip of pure hellfire that coiled around the Djinn’s throat, threatening to burn through her body.
"Is this all you’ve got?" Liliana taunted through gritted teeth as she tightened her grip on Mephistopheles’ neck. "I’ve had stronger orgasms than this!"
The Djinn choked and sputtered, clawing desperately at the flames consuming her.
"You... bitch..." she cursed but then had a smug smile as a shadow approached Liliana frombehind.
Liliana’s eyes widened in shock as Valerian suddenly appeared behind her, his claws raking across her back with brutal precision. She barely managed to dodge the deadly strike, her hellfire whip snapping free from Mephistopheles’ throat.
"No!" Liliana cried out, pain and anguish warring in her voice.
"Valerian, stop! It’s me!" Mephistopheles took advantage of the distraction to summon a wall of shadows between them, separating the two. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"Foolish succubus," she sneered. "You’re too weak to defeat me without hurting your precious husband."
Victor peeked out from behind an overturned pew, his eyes wide with horror. "She’s using Valerian against her! We have to do something!" Mariabelle nodded grimly, setting aside her popcorn.
"But what can we possibly do against these kinds of powers?"
Mariabelle’s gaze drifted down to the fluffy glitter-kitten curled up in her lap, its tiny eyes closed in peaceful slumber. Despite the chaos and destruction unfolding around them, the adorable creature remained completely unbothered.
Her fingers absently stroked its soft fur as a sudden realization struck her. "Victor..." she murmured quietly, hardly daring to believe the crazy idea forming in her mind."What if... what if that cat isn’t just a useless summon?" Victor blinked at her, confused by the sudden change in topic.
"What do you mean? It’s just a cute little-"
"No," Mariabelle interrupted firmly, lifting the kitten gently from her lap."I think it might be more than that. I think it might be able to help us."
She stood up slowly, cradling the sleeping feline against her chest as she turned to face Victor with a determined expression. "We need to get closer to Valerian.
Victor stared at Mariabelle incredulously."Are you kidding me right now? We can’t just waltz over there with a sleeping kitten while those two demons are tearing the place apart!"He gestured wildly at the chaotic battle raging across the cathedral.
"We’ll be torn to shreds!" Mariabelle’s grip tightened on the kitten, her eyes flashing with stubborn resolve."I’m not leaving my fate in the hands of that monster! And I have a feeling about this little guy..." She glanced down at the fluffy creature in her arms, its tiny chest rising and falling with each peaceful breath.
Victor hesitated, torn between protecting Mariabelle and his loyalty as a friend to Valerian. Finally, he sighed heavily.
"Fine. But if we die, I’m blaming you entirely." Mariabelle nodded, a small smile tugging at her lips despite the dire situation.
"Deal. Now come on, we need to find an opening."
Victor scanned the battlefield desperately, searching for any gap in the relentless exchange of dark energy and hellfire. Just as he was about to admit defeat, a sudden lull in the fighting caught his attention.
Mephistopheles stumbled backward, clutching a wound on her arm where Liliana’s whip had left a searing gash. The succubus demoness seized the opportunity to press her advantage, lunging forward with a fierce battle cry.
"That’s our chance!" Mariabelle exclaimed, seizing Victor’s hand and dragging him towards the brief opening. They dashed across the shattered floor, weaving between debris and narrowly avoiding collateral damage from the demons’ clash. As they approached Valerian’s motionless form, Victor’s heart raced with fear and determination.
"Mariabelle, what exactly is your plan with that kitten?"he panted urgently."Ihope you have more than just ’cute fluffy distraction’ in mind!"
Mariabelle blinked cutely at Victor’s question, her mind racing to come up with a plan.
"Ah, I actually didn’t think that far ahead,"she admitted sheepishly. Just as she spoke, her foot caught on a broken piece of stone, sending her stumbling forward.
Victor tried to catch her but ended up losing his balance and falling heavily to the ground.
The glitter-kitten flew from Mariabelle’s grasp, tumbling through the air before landing directly on Valerian’s face with a soft mew.
Everyone froze in shock as Valerian’s attack halted mid-strike.
His eyes, previously lifeless and vacant, suddenly snapped open wide with surprise. He stood motionless, the kitten perched on his nose, its tiny paws kneading gently against his skin.
Mephistopheles stared at the bizarre sight in disbelief."What in the seven hells just happened?" Liliana muttered, equally confused by the sudden interruption to their battle.
Victor blinked slowly, his mind racing to make sense of the surreal situation.
"Oh, I just remembered..." he muttered listlessly, staring at Valerian’s motionless form."I think Valerian is a cat lover.
"The words hung in the air, barely audible over the crackling energy of the paused battle. Mariabelle’s eyes widened as she processed Victor’s revelation."That’s it!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with sudden excitement.
"He loves cats! Maybe this little guy can snap him out of it!" Liliana narrowed her eyes suspiciously at the adorable creature now sitting calmly on Valerian’s face. "You’re suggesting that a cute little kitten can break a demonic possession?" she asked skeptically.
Mephistopheles sneered mockingly. "Please, even if he does love cats, it won’t change anything. He belongs to me now.
"But Victor shook his head firmly ."It’s worth tobe hopeful,"
Mephistopheles’ sneer faltered as she watched Valerian’s reaction to the kitten. His face, previously devoid of emotion, began to soften as he gently lifted a hand to cradle the tiny creature against his cheek.
Slowly, almost hesitantly, he started rubbing his face against the soft fur, just as he would with a beloved pet.The Djinn’s eyes widened in disbelief and growing panic.
"No... no, this can’t be happening," she muttered frantically.
Her control over Valerian seemed to waver with each gentle stroke of the kitten’s fur against his skin.
Liliana exchanged a shocked glance with Mariabelle and Victor, hope blossoming in her chest despite the dire situation.
"It’s working..." she breathed, hardly daring to believe it."The cat is breaking her hold on him."
Mariabelle’s cheer echoed through the cathedral, filled with relief and joy.
"All hail Sir Fluffy, star of the match!" she exclaimed, pointing triumphantly at the adorable creature still nestled in Valerian’s arms. Victor couldn’t help but let out a relieved laugh at the absurdity of the situation.
"Sir Fluffy?" he repeated incredulously, shaking his head in amusement.
"Only you would name a random summon in the middle of a demonic battle."
Meanwhile, Mephistopheles’ face contorted with rage and frustration as she watched her carefully laid plans unraveling before her eyes.
"No! You can’t do this!" she screamed, her shadows lashing out wildly in desperation. But it was too late. Valerian blinked slowly, his eyes clearing as if waking from a deep sleep. He looked down at the kitten in his arms, then up at Liliana and Mariabelle and then Victor with confusion and dawning horror. "Liliana..."
Before Liliana could respond, Mephistopheles acted swiftly, her desperation overriding any concern for subtlety. She rushed forward and wrapped her arms tightly around Valerian, pulling him close as she activated a hidden teleportation circle on the cathedral floor."Ahhah!" she cackled triumphantly, her eyes wild with manic glee.
"This time might be my defeat, but don’t think you’ve won yet!" The circle flared brightly, bathing the chamber in an otherworldly glow as Mephistopheles and Valerian vanished in a burst of dark energy.
Liliana stumbled forward with a cry of anguish, reaching out too late to stop them.
"Valerian!" she shouted, her voice echoing through the empty space where they had stood moments before.Victor and Mariabelle stared at the spot where their friend had disappeared, shock and disbelief written across their faces.
"She took him..." Victor murmured weakly, sinking to his knees.
Liliana’s hands clenched into fists, her nails digging into her palms as she struggled to contain her rage and despair."If only I had reacted earlier," she whispered, her voice trembling with unshed tears.
She turned to Victor and Mariabelle, her purple eyes blazing with determination. "We can’t give up now. We have to find a way to save him."
Victor nodded slowly, pushing himself back to his feet."You’re right. We can’t let that demon win." He glanced around the ruined cathedral, taking in the shattered stone and scattered debris."But how? She’s too powerful for us to fight directly."
Then The Glitter-kitten who had escaped the instant Valerian was kidnapped by Mephistopheles came back to them with a "Meow!".
Mariabelle hugged Sir Fluffy tightly against her chest, the kitten purring contentedly despite the grim atmosphere. "We need a plan," she said firmly. "Something clever that will outsmart her."
Liliana’s gaze fell on the glittering creature in Mariabelle’s arms, an idea beginning to form in her mind. "Perhaps...
