Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 129-Sin Wrapped In Something Holy
Iris:
The dinner was so odd to get through, but it finally ended.
Scarlet had already put the kids to sleep by the time I returned.
She stayed in their room with them, insisting they were tired from the long journey and that she should remain there for the night as well, not planning to go to the bar.
I was grateful that at least the kids would be well rested, but when I reached my room again, the first thing I noticed was that there were two beds this time.
Two, not one.
My steps slowed at the entry. The extra bed had not been there earlier. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
The sheets were nicely tucked and the pillow looked comfortable, almost like someone was telling me to go to the one with the pink blanket on it.
And who could do it?
Kash.
I stood quietly staring at the new bed when Luca entered behind me.
He stopped in the doorway as well. I noticed the way he examined the beds before grunting.
"Why is Kash trying so hard?" he muttered, stepping inside while rubbing the back of his neck.
"Haven’t you two rejected each other already?" The question seemed to have come from deep within.
He sounded extremely bothered.
"Why are you so bothered? Aren’t you here just for money too?" I asked him, reminding him that he was not supposed to act like he was my boyfriend in real life.
He had been brought in by my mother for money’s sake, so he should focus on playing his part.
He scoffed loudly, moving over to the bed with the blue blanket and giving a hand gesture to show me it was ridiculous.
"You really think that low of me?" he questioned.
"Did you give me any reason to think otherwise?" I shot back, folding my arms.
He opened his mouth to argue, but instead I could tell he changed the topic. "Why did you even want to go to that bar?"
"Because I want to enjoy something I wasn’t allowed to do before. If you have a problem with it, you can stay home." I shrugged, replying in a taunting and mocking tone while stepping over to the dresser.
"No, of course I’m coming. Why would I leave Kash a chance?" he mumbled under his breath with a humorless laugh, then started to crack his knuckles while his eyes stayed on me.
I could see him from the reflection in my mirror, pretending not to look at him, but his steady gaze was intense.
"I know him. He will take the chance the second he gets it," he mumbled, and for some reason his words gave me goosebumps.
Thankfully, he did not stay around for long. He went to the restroom to get ready for the night.
When Luca stepped out of the bathroom, I went to the restroom.
By the time I was inside blow-drying my hair and curling it, I guessed Luca had already finished getting ready because when I came out, he was not in the room anymore.
That was better because I liked getting ready when he was not around, since he usually tried to keep engaging in conversations I did not want to focus on.
I had pulled out a black dress with soft lace and a slit high enough.
The neckline was subtle, but the shape of the bodice pushed my waist in and let my hips curve out.
The mask covered my eyes and nose, delicate black lace stretching across my skin.
Only my lips remained visible, and I highlighted them with a bold bright red glittery lipstick.
I had already curled my hair to perfection, and then came the stilettos.
I stood tall, powerful, looking confident, and I must say very sexy.
When I stepped into the hall, the clicking of my heels echoing against the marble floors made me feel confident.
I inhaled once before strolling toward the front door of the mansion where the cars were waiting for us.
Kash, Lara and Luca were already there.
The moment I came into view, I heard a visible gasp from all three of them, not just one.
Lara’s smile was the first to falter.
Her eyes flicked from my dress to my waist and down to my hips, and I could already sense the displeasure coming from her.
Her own dress seemed rushed, bland pastel colors, nothing elegant, just something she had picked because it was a little more revealing.
She suddenly looked unsure of her choice, and she did not even try to hide it.
She looked at my dress, then looked down at hers with her hands holding the fabric, and then she stomped her foot.
She was obvious like that sometimes, and because she was royalty, she did not try to hide it, knowing nobody would call her out.
And then there was him, Kash!
The way he looked at me with his breath stuck, not moving a muscle, gave me goosebumps.
He wore a black suit, perfectly tailored for his physique, with a deep red shirt underneath and a matching red mask.
His jaw was clenched tightly.
I could see the muscle twitching near his eyes as they dragged from my head to my toes before he snapped away, taking a deep breath and finally exhaling.
The way he rubbed his hand through his beautiful, bouncy, wavy hair made me feel like I was not the only one who looked good.
Then there was Luca. He had a very proud smirk on his lips.
He wore a grey long-tail overcoat suit. He looked very royal, I must say.
His hands were in his pants pockets, pushing his coat even further back.
His mask was a darker metallic type, but it was Kash who looked like he was a sin wrapped in something holy.
Nobody said a word while I reached them.
Luca quickly opened the door for me, and as I was about to enter, I noticed Kash opened the door for himself, but his eyes were stuck on me, and Lara was watching him instead of looking where she was heading.
