Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 128-My Boyfriend Has His Eyes On His Ex
Lara:
I should have been the happiest that day. Kash had come to see me.
He was introduced as my mate, my husband-to-be, to everyone.
But my happiness ended the moment the car stopped and I saw her.
He had brought his ex and the kids with him. My mood dropped right away.
I did not understand when Kash had become so thoughtless.
Why would he think bringing her here would not upset me? I could not believe it.
But I kept my smile for him. I acted happy for his sake.
At the same time, I was not going to let this visit pass without making sure Iris made mistakes that would remove her from Kash’s life forever.
I was ready to push her as much as needed. If she slept with Luca, even better.
My eyes moved to Iris’s mother. She had helped me more than anyone else.
She was the one who came up with the idea of me sleeping with Kash.
Then the next day, she would tell Iris that it happened.
Thankfully, Iris stayed that night, so she saw us herself. No one else had to tell her.
My father planned a dinner for me and Kash. But now Kash’s ex and his children were also seated at our table.
I was annoyed. Every time I turned to look at Kash, I caught him staring at Iris.
It was the same focused stare again and again. Even when he spoke with someone else, his eyes kept going back to her.
She looked like she was pretending not to notice, but I knew she did.
Kash was now busy with his phone. He typed something, then lifted his eyes and looked straight at her again.
And she checked her phone right after. Her head lifted.
She narrowed her eyes at him as if they were talking through the screen.
Then she noticed me watching her and she straightened her back.
What a bitch.
Shameless. Trying to get attention from someone who was already taken.
I hated women like this. Growing up, I always made sure never to become a desperate woman chasing after someone else’s mate.
It could never be me. But Iris, a rogue like her, had no dignity. No morals. No pride.
To her, getting touched by someone and begging for attention seemed like a good plan.
And here she was now. Sitting in front of everyone. Doing her best to get his eyes on her again.
"So what is the plan for the night," my father asked, trying to cheer me up.
I guess he had noticed that I looked worried.
"I was thinking about going to a royal bar with Kash. They hold a masquerade party every Saturday."
As soon as I said it, I noticed the unease from Kash’s side.
When I turned to look at him, he was staring at me with a mocking smirk on his lips, almost like a sarcastic grin, but his jaw was clenching behind it.
"That seems like a good idea. I heard they serve some premium wine too. It will be a perfect royal space and a new adventure to cherish," My father commented, instantly supporting the idea.
"I am not sure about the first experience though. I am pretty sure Lara has visited this bar before," Kash responded.
The words came from him so quickly that my skin broke out in goosebumps.
I knew exactly what he was talking about.
My father frowned. He did not know the reason behind our first breakup.
So of course he had no clue why Kash said that.
"What about you, Iris?" My father turned his attention to her.
I noticed the way Kash fixed his posture and his seat again, almost like he had been waiting for her answer.
"Iris does not go to bars like that." My fiancé was the one who spoke up for her.
It made me feel worse. Even my father and the others who heard him started to whisper.
"Is that so, Iris? You seem quite boring," My father remarked, trying to stand by me.
Then he turned to Luca.
"What about you, young man? You seem like someone who will have fun partying," He asked him, and Luca shook his head.
"No, I do not go to bars," He replied.
But I noticed the way he looked anxious, as if he was lying. I wondered what was really going on between him and Iris.
Lady Clarissa told me the two were not sharing a bed, so now I was even more curious why.
"Anyway, so are we going tonight?" I still asked Kash.
Even when I knew this place would bring him memories, I wanted to go.
That bar held memories for me too. I wanted to rewrite them with him so I would not feel sick every time I thought about the bar.
I did not think I was saying something wrong. I just wanted my trauma to end.
The trauma of cheating on him. And then losing him to someone like Iris.
"We will see," Kash stated.
"How about Iris, you join me tonight. Come on, you gotta loosen up a bit," I decided to use her as bait and it worked. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"Sure, we should go, right?" Iris finally turned to Luca and gave him a smile.
I noticed the way Kash, who had been tapping his fingers on the table nonstop, suddenly stopped the moment he heard her say that.
"You want to go to a bar like that?" Kash phrased it so strangely that even I felt judged by the tone.
"Why not? She is an adult and I guess it is the right thing to do. She should explore her horizons instead of being judgmental," Luca was so quick to agree.
And it bothered me so much. Why were men so interested in her? Even when she was cold and arrogant.
"Well then, I think you are right. Maybe we will go too," Kash agreed all of a sudden, and I began to think it was not even about me anymore.
However, I forced a smile onto my lips to avoid ruining the moment.
With that, the dinner concluded. But one thing kept bothering me.
Why was Kash so affected by Iris?
