Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 156-He Drags Me To The Woods With Him
Iris:
The way it had begun, my mother was quite shocked that I gave her the reality check that Kash was not going to listen to me anymore.
However, I knew that she would try to do her best to get the cure because otherwise the cure would not work.
Even I would do my best. I wanted my child to be out of her clasp.
At least one of us needed to be saved from her. Then I could think about other things later.
"So, what was your mother talking about with you?" Luca arrived as I was sitting in the garden, staring outside at the parking lot.
Kash had not talked to me after that, and it had made me anxious.
"Kash got the cure," I responded to him as he took a seat next to me.
"Really?" he asked me, looking intrigued and excited.
"Yeah, but it does not seem like my mother is going to let it pass like that," I stated. He began to frown at me, wondering where I was going with this.
"The problem is that my mother would ask me for the cure because my son is not supposed to have it. My brother is," I responded to Luca. I watched his face twitch a little.
He knew my brother, and he also knew what it meant for him to wake up if he was not fine. He had committed crimes, and he had committed sins. It was pretty dangerous for my brother to wake up and not be chained up unless the cure was given to him.
I had high hopes. Once he got the cure, he would be the brother that I had always remembered before he turned into a monster.
"And definitely Kash will have a field day with this request," Luca agreed with me as he mumbled those words and I nodded.
While we were talking, I saw a car pull up. It was Kash and Lara.
The two had a victorious smile on their faces. Lara got out first, smiling straight at me.
She began to stroll in my direction, and I straightened my posture, getting up from the chair.
"Well, guess what, we got it," she told me, smiling proudly and moving her shoulders almost like she was dancing.
My eyes shifted to Kash, who stepped out and gave me a blunt look, as if he was judging me for even standing next to Luca.
"I’m glad you were able to get the cure. Colin does not need to be in pain. He is just a child," Luca replied, trying to break the ice.
However, I noticed the way Kash only rolled his eyes before he nodded his head forcibly.
"I have a request." As soon as I said that, Kash put his hands in his pants pockets and tilted his head a little.
His hair was messy, and the way his eyes were red, I could tell that they had a difficult time getting the cure.
Even Lara’s lips were dry. Her makeup was smeared, and her hair had dust on it, and it was probably from the fact that she might have fallen into the river. I could not be certain.
"Lara, honey, I will speak with her, and then I will join you." Kash’s tone changed completely with Lara.
He gently touched her on the back to let her know that he needed to speak with me.
Since he was so gentle, Lara did not seem to care much. She gave him a nod and then touched her hair.
"I will go take a shower till then," she complained, strolling away.
Luca gave me a nod as he wandered off too. Now it was just Kash and me in the open garden.
Before I could say a word, Kash stepped away.
"I thought we were talking," I called after him, taking a few steps toward him.
"Yeah, we are, but not here," he remarked, approaching his car.
He opened the passenger-side door for me and then turned to look at me, waiting for me to join him. Since it was an important conversation, I had no other option but to go with him.
I steadily walked over and sat down while he wandered around to sit in the driver’s seat.
Once we buckled up, he took the road.
I had no clue where he was taking me, but I could tell that he did not have a specific place in mind, and it was confirmed when he stopped next to the woods. I looked around in confusion.
"Don’t worry, I’m not a monster. I will not hurt you." I guessed he took it wrong.
I was only curious to know where he was taking me, and he thought I was worried he had brought me here to hurt me.
I did not say a word. I got out of the car after him. He stepped into the woods, and I followed him in silence.
At one point, I felt like I needed to speak, but then I was afraid that if I annoyed him, would he hold the cure? Of course not. I did not think he would do that. Colin is his son.
"Kash, can we talk already?" I suddenly stopped because going after him in silence was giving me anxiety.
My mother was back at home, and I had not told her that I was going out with Kash.
If she found out, she could become a menace again, and I did not want to deal with that anymore. I had dealt with enough.
He slowed down and then turned around. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"What exactly is your mother doing?" he asked me bluntly.
"What do you mean?" I asked him, but I had to swallow the hesitation first.
The way he turned and kept staring into my eyes gave me goosebumps.
"Your mother is doing something. I do not know exactly what it is, but you are going to tell me what it is," he remarked, placing his hands on his waist, which pushed back the coat he was wearing.
It was the same coat he had worn for the mission, and it seemed like it was torn in a few places.
There were scratch marks on it. It confused me about what happened at the river.
