Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins-Chapter 158-The Wedding Is Close
Iris:
Before I could say anything else, he stepped close and I stepped back, my eyes widening in confusion at what he was about to do.
"However, there is a condition, and if you fulfill it, I will do whatever you want me to do. I will give you the cure, and you can give the cure to my son while it is only you in the room."
As soon as he said that, I thought of my mother sighing in relief. However, for me it was traumatizing. It reminded me of the deals everyone made with me. It was as if, when anybody wanted something from me, they held something over my head. There was no way they would request and wait for my approval. Approval was not for me. I did not have the luxury to say yes or no.
I took a deep breath and then I nodded.
"What is it?" I asked him.
"I will give you the cure one day before my marriage with Lara, which is in four days."
As soon as he said that, my fist clenched and a gulp ran down my throat.
"And may I ask what is the reason for it?" I asked him, waiting for him to react and give me why he was such a fucking loser.
"Because I do not want to give it to you and then watch you run away." 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
The minute he said that, a chill ran up my spine.
"And I want to do it one day before because I want to know if the cure is really working," he finished.
And now it was up to me to respond to him.
"Done," I said softly.
And I noticed that he looked a little disappointed suddenly.
"And I will need your phone for GPS. I do not know how far we have driven, and my car’s GPS is not working. My phone is turned off," he replied. That was his way of letting me know that I needed to cut the call.
I gave him a nod and then I cut the call. The minute I did, I received a text from my mother.
Monster. Good. That is a good deal.
That was all she said, letting me know that she liked how the conversation between Kash and me went. Of course, she did not care that attending Kash’s wedding would affect me so much. She only cared about herself and getting the cure.
I raised my head and watched Kash stare at me. After that, he began to stroll away and I followed him.
We walked in silence and sat in the car. No words were spoken until we were at the mansion again.
My mother was in the garden pretending she was there to watch my kids, who were playing with Luca until then. Even Luca turned around to acknowledge that we had returned.
Kash did not say another word. We drifted apart silently. He went ahead to go inside the mansion to speak about the rest of the preparations for the wedding, while I reached my mother and stood with her.
"Great job," my mother said, getting up from the bench and giving my elbow a squeeze.
I secretly pushed her hand away before I turned to look at Luca.
"He wants me to attend the wedding," I stated.
Luca tilted his head, looking defeated.
"Mommy, we are going to attend Daddy’s wedding," Amy asked me, leaving her toy on the grass and watching me with her big eyes.
"Yes, my sweet little granddaughter. And we have only a few days for shopping. So the minute we go back home, we are shopping a lot," my mother responded to her while I stayed in my spot, rubbing my hands together.
"And Mommy, you are also getting married. When are we going to shop for that?" It was Colin who posed that question, and I was confused because I did not remember telling them about it.
"Daddy’s new wife was telling her father about it, and we heard it. But I swear we were not eavesdropping," Colin explained, because he knew that I had told him not to listen to adults when they talk.
Of course she was already spreading the news around. She must have been happy that I was out of her hair.
The rest of the day we had a goodbye dinner. Kash, Lara, and her father, along with Walkin, sat together alone, while the rest of the pack members, the other alphas who were invited, my family, and I were in the main hall. We had dinner together at different tables. I was glad that happened. I could not sit with Lara or her father anymore. Even with Kash. I had too much going on in my head.
There were only four days left for their wedding, and to think I would have to see it all. It was the thing I had dreaded five years ago, the thing I had run away from. I was finally back to watch it.
The next day, we had to return home, so we all fell asleep early. I slept with my children. I was not going to let her nannies or any other nannies be around my children because I had seen what happens whenever I am not in sight. My mother takes over.
The next day we woke up and had our breakfast in our bedrooms, and then we were called outside by Walkin because we had to leave.
"I cannot wait to come back to your pack as a bride now," Lara said to Kash while we were loading our bags in our car.
I did not want to hear it, but I had to since I was going to be in the same car as Kash, since he wanted the kids to be with him.
"Yeah, I cannot wait for you to be my wife," Kash replied to her, very coldly.
It seemed like he was trying really hard, and I knew that because I had known Kash. Or had I? I mean, if I had known, I would have known he was cheating on me.
