Amber Sword-Chapter 791 - 129: Forest Front
Although Ben favored the White Cards in the Card Album, the fact is that his White Land Cards were extremely scarce. Even if he could summon them, he might not be able to support the maintenance cost, but it's different with the Bloodline. The characteristic of the Bloodline in Destiny Cards is that they require only the Host to pay with Life to maintain them.
This is quite critical for a profession in the Magic system, but for him as a warrior, it's not much of an issue. Not to mention he has the Unyielding Talent, with a natural Life recovery rate three times that of an average person.
He paid 400, 600, and 800 in wealth respectively to unlock those three cards, then scanned them to add them to his deck.
Vampire Baron
(Night Shadow XI)
10 Black
[Biological - Undead / Vampire, Level 28 Biological]
Bloodsuck.
When Vampire Baron is on the field, add 1 Battle Indicator to all subordinate vampires.
When Vampire Baron is on the field, pay 2 Life points each day.
'Elegance in the dark is a deadly art.'
Blood Throne Vampire
(Night Shadow VI)
15 Black
[Biological - Undead / Vampire, Level 30 Elite]
Bloodsuck
Sacrifice 1 non-Black biological to add three Battle Indicators to Blood Throne Vampire (until the Reset Stage).
When Blood Throne Vampire is on the field, pay 5 Life points each day.
'Low-class people often forget they are not residents or servants, but property.'
Dark Night Lord
(Night Shadow III)
15 Black
[Biological - Undead / Vampire, Level 35 Elite]
Bloodsuck
Pay 5 Black to place a small squad of black Derivatives (Bloodline) into play.
When Blood Throne Vampire is on the field, pay 10 Life points each day.
'Blood drips down.'
These three cards can be said to form a set. Although the Vampire Baron's individual strength is only at the Black Iron Peak, it can enhance all vampires of lower rank than itself.
While Blood Throne Vampire's strength itself is not below Medisha's, sacrificing a non-black Biological Card can boost its strength to the Gold Peak level in a short period, making it the strongest card he can acquire at this stage.
As for the Dark Night Lord, it already has a Gold Middle Rank strength and can continuously generate Derivatives by paying Dark Element. Combined with the Vampire Baron's abilities, it can be said to be like adding wings to a tiger.
Ben intends to use these three cards as another core deck besides the Holy Sword - Wind Spirit Spider. Even apart from this purpose, even the mere addition of Blood Throne Vampire and Dark Night Lord raises his Gold Level existence to seven.
This already counts as a considerable force in Erune.
As for the remaining wealth, he spent 550 to unlock the Wave Gem and Gray Wind Port Tax Officer:
Wave Gem
(Ten Thousand Scenic Wonders V)
10 Any
[Treasure - Artifact / Magic]
While Wave Gem is on the field, it provides 1 reputation each day.
Tap to gain 2 wealth.
Sacrifice this card to place any one card from your hand into play for free.
'An irresistible temptation'
Gray Wind Port Tax Officer
(City State Alliance XXI)
5 Light
[Treasure - Human / Official, Level 5 Biological]
When Gray Wind Port Tax Officer is on the field, it provides 1 reputation each day.
Tap, as long as you own a City/Building Land Card (Boundary), gain 2 wealth.
'Taxation, the foundation of the city-state'
The purpose of unlocking these two cards is to compensate for unforeseen losses in his plan. Since it is not possible to meet the requirements of the Platinum Angel in one step, it is necessary to choose a more indirect path. Fortunately, both cards increase both reputation and wealth, which fits the requirement.
After using up his wealth, Ben used reputation to unlock the Graveyard Resurrection Spell.
Graveyard Resurrection
(Graveyard Whisper II)
20 Black
[Spell - Boundary]
Place any deceased (or in the graveyard) target Divine Artifact, Biological Card into play under your control, and the biological further gains the black color and the category of [Spirit Statue].
'Death is not an excuse for defiance.'
The Graveyard Resurrection card costs 325 reputation points to unlock. It can directly resurrect a dead biological as a Black Card into play, with almost no immunity except for a requirement regarding the time of death. Ben believes he will encounter a suitable target during this Magic Tide, so he decisively obtained this card. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
This young lord has now depleted the wealth and reputation he saved over several months. However, these are not all his Land Cards. He took out five more cards from his pouch.
They were two Black Land Cards - Water of the Netherworld and Death Forest, and one Grey Land Card - Anjou's Mountains. Additionally, there were two more cards: Fireclaw Trumpeter and Secret Rune Summoner.
These five cards were traded with three Moon Crystals from a Wandering Mage. Besides the Land Cards, the remaining Fireclaw Trumpeter and Secret Rune Summoner brought him a big surprise.
Fireclaw Trumpeter and Fireclaw Lizardman belong to a set. This card can summon a Fireclaw Trumpeter at the Black Iron Middle Rank. But this is not its most outstanding feature; the value of this card is that, as long as Fireclaw Trumpeter is on the field, it can copy an identical Red Derivative Card for each Fireclaw Spearman Card on the field.
In other words, as long as Fireclaw Trumpeter is on the field, bringing one Fireclaw Spearman Card into play is equivalent to bringing two Fireclaw Spearman Cards into play simultaneously.
Although Ben currently only has one Fireclaw Spearman Card, he believes that one day this card will exhibit a strength not less than that of the Holy Sword Skill compared to the Wind Spirit Spider.
As for the Secret Rune Summoner, it possesses an abnormal ability almost identical to that of the Dark Night Lord. The difference is that, as long as the Travel Mage pays 10 Mana, the Secret Rune Summoner can summon a Grey Derivative with a level equivalent to the number of Land Cards the Travel Mage owns into play.
This card, too, is weak in the early stages but its potential is almost infinite in the late stages.
Ben scanned these five cards into his deck as well. Now his deck's capacity has greatly increased. Excluding Land Cards, he still possesses fifteen various cards. This means he can no longer draw all the cards from his deck into his hand in one go.
Upon an increase in the number of cards, Ben found himself facing a new problem: his available cards each day have become random, making card drawing a new issue.
He first checked his hand cards.
Blood Throne Vampire, Wind Spirit Spider, Holy Sword, Fire Giant Spirit, Side-by-Side Dash, Energy Drain, and Fireclaw Trumpeter.
But Ben did not immediately summon, because he felt Antitina push him from the side, prompting him to look up and bring himself back to reality from his world.
He immediately saw a group of people approaching him from the edge of the forest in the distance.
They were not Druids.
But a group of humans, Eruein people.
