Another Stupid Isekai-Chapter 892 T.D.O.N.B: The Preparations

A few days passed, and I finished the job with the automatons. There were no more excuses, so I ended up traveling to Loistavadvaar. I didn't really have to, because I could use any other device, but I still had a fat stack of points in that city, so it seemed like a waste to not use them.

In some way, I already made my decision through that.

I started by upgrading the rest of the 'Legendary Dreadnought' skillset since it seemed to be the best decision. After all, to achieve our goal all I had to do was make my way to the trees, to consume the fruits. The defense was the way to go.

This unlocked the final evolution of the class, the 'Havocker'. I bought it. That gave me access to the following skills: 'Legendary strength II', 'Legendary endurance II', 'Toughness V', 'Vitality V', 'Natural armor IV', 'Unbleeding IV', 'Relentless IV', 'Regeneration III', 'Indomitable II', 'Legendary life force II', 'Unstoppable II', 'Wrath', 'Fortress of Flesh'. ƒ𝘳𝗲𝑒𝒘𝐞𝚋𝚗𝐨v𝘦l.𝒄o𝐦

'Wrath' was a very interesting skill, as it linked directly my anger with my strength. The more pissed I got, the stronger I would become. It actually wasn't that good, since I preferred a calm approach during the fighting, so allowing myself to get a cloudy mind because of the fury wasn't really something I thought I would use often, but the option was there.

'Fortress of Flesh' made my body sturdy. Very, very sturdy.

Obviously, I fully upgraded all the skills. Since I had a ridiculous amount of points without even spending all the crystals I decided to reserve for myself, it really didn't seem necessary to perform any calculations. I could just spend as much as I wished.

It seemed like a good idea to pursue the idea of increasing my defenses further. I checked the class list to pick something, and I found a good option very quickly. It was among that base classes. I bought the 'Guardian'.

This purchase gave me access to the following skills: 'Defensive stance', 'Shield proficiency', 'Increased stamina', and 'Increased toughness'.

'Defensive stance' was just straight-up knowledge about how to block attacks. Didn't really matter with what. It was hard to judge it without putting the skill into practice, so I wasn't that happy about the skill.

'Shield proficiency' seemed like a total waste, as I didn't use shields, nor was I going to change that in the future. It seemed useless with all my mobility.

'Increased stamina' was interesting. It further boosted my reserves of energy, which at this point were already ridiculous, but because of the task ahead, it seemed like a worthy purchase.

'Increased toughness' was also a good pick. Another boost to the toughness of my body.

I bought all the skills, unlocking the next evolution of the class, the 'Shield bearer' which I bought without hesitation.

This class unlocked the following skills: 'Defensive stance II', 'Shield proficiency II', 'Increased stamina II', 'Increased toughness II', 'Shield bash', and 'Mobility'.

'Shield bash' was a powerful, but useless to me attack with the shield. Something I didn't really care for.

'Mobility', though, further increased my balance, and the ability to move during the fight.

I fully upgraded all the skills without hesitation, unlocking yet another evolution of the class. The 'Protector'. I added that to my shopping list.

The class unlocked the following skills: 'Defensive stance III', 'Shield proficiency III', 'Increased stamina III', 'Increased toughness III', 'Shield bash II', 'Mobility II', 'Stand your ground', 'Unpenetrable defenses'.

'Stand your ground' was the famous skill my good friend Boris - rest in peace friend - used in the very famous duel back when we were fighting for our place in the Ixan empire. It was the one who allowed him to stay in place despite the attacks which should send him flying. Something I immediately fell in love with.

It wasn't all-powerful. There was still the possibility of me being pushed away even with the skill, but it did heavily disrupt how the physics worked on me while I was blocking attacks.

'Unpenetrable defenses' was also very interesting. It basically made any type of armor I was wearing better. Some of my toughness was slipping into the objects.

I fully upgraded my skills but didn't stop there. The next evolution I unlocked was the 'Walking fortress'. I immediately purchased that too.

It gave me access to the following skills: 'Defensive stance IV', 'Shield proficiency IV', 'Increased stamina IV', 'Increased toughness IV', 'Shield bash III', 'Mobility III', 'Stand your ground II', 'Unpenetrable defenses II', 'Sturdiness', 'Unbroken'.

'Sturdiness' dulled any damage going through my body, heavily decreasing the chances of not only broken bones but also deep cuts. A skill that made me very happy to acquire.

'Unbroken' was a mental skill. It increased the resilience of my mind and gave me a very interesting psychological ability to push through mental stress.

I upgraded all of the skills, immediately feeling a difference. Suddenly all my previous worries were gone. The decision me going on that stupid risky mission was made. Why? Simply because logically I was the best choice we had.

I unlocked the final evolution of the class, which I immediately bought. 'The immovable'

It gave me access to the following skills:'Defensive stance V', 'Shield proficiency V', 'Increased stamina V', 'Increased toughness V', 'Shield bash IV', 'Mobility IV', 'Stand your ground III', 'Unpenetrable defenses III', 'Sturdiness II', 'Unbroken II', 'Deny', 'Shrug'.

'Deny' was basically an upgraded version of 'Stand your ground', but this time it was almost impossible to move me by force, but not only. Even the telekinetic skills to grab me and throw would no longer make me move from the space I was occupying.

'Shrug' on the other hand allowed me to just brake anything restricting my movement. All the curses, siphoning life force and more could easily get broken now by simply activating that skill.

I fully upgraded all of those skills, and then decided to stop. Not because I approached the limits of my points - I wasn't even close to that - but because the skills needed to be tested before I could make a logical decision for my further investments.

I definitely increased my defensive capabilities by a lot, but I wasn't sure if it was enough. Besides, with the mental change, I really wanted to get deeper into that plan before continuing my preparations.
