Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes-Chapter 22: Dumgrith and Cordelia
Chapter 22 - Dumgrith and Cordelia
Everyone slowly passed through the teleportation gate. Perhaps over a hundred professors at the school greeted each examinee.
After a brief head count, it was expected that each professor could not hide their surprise that no one was missing.
Nevertheless, Abraham's brief explanation and the fact that the students had confirmed the information, of course, turned everyone's attention to Atlas.
He didn't give a damn about anything. Obviously, he wanted to take the exam and become a student as soon as possible so that he could start the process of trying to change the academy.
"Thank you for your help, Atlas...Forgive us, we couldn't help you." the young elf said, suddenly approaching Atlas.
Atlas narrowed his eyes as he looked at him and then replied, "You did more than enough, protecting the others helped me focus on the battle, don't worry." and then his eyes fell on someone.
Confused, he realised he could instantly tell where he had seen this man before, and then he approached the man and said, "Sir?"
This man was the handsome old elf that Atlas had spoken to in the village in the dead tree.
Atlas was really surprised, he didn't even know that such a professor was in the academy.
"Ah, Atlas...I knew your name was incredibly rare so you were going to be my young student Eva's little brother." the old elf suddenly muttered.
"So it really is you, not to mention you calling my sister your student sir...I didn't even know you were in this academy." Atlas suddenly said, and every professor around had that look of surprise on their face.
"Ohoho, of course, I'm here, I was sure we'd meet more often in the future, who would have thought that a young man who had slain who knows how many goblins with zero magic rings would become so strong in just six months." the old man muttered.
"I am honoured sir...cough..." said Atlas with a strange happiness and pride. The fact that he didn't know the old elf's name and didn't want to just call him professor made everything complicated.
"Ohoho, my name is Dumgrith. I am named after the great blacksmith who was a family friend of my ancestors." said the old-looking handsome elf who introduced himself as Dumgrith.
Atlas took a deep breath to speak after these words, but was stopped at that moment.
When he turned his head towards the person who stopped him, he could see a very beautiful woman standing in front of him.
This woman was the headmaster of the academy and the most powerful sorceress in the world.
"Cordelia..." Atlas muttered to himself. This woman was the first Sage. She was perhaps one of the few people Atlas respected the most in his entire life.
Cordelia had a strange personality. More precisely, this woman had great mysteries. It was not known exactly how old the woman was, but it was known that she was the woman who was in the 'Eternal Fire War' two million years ago.
That is why Cordelia herself was able to receive the title of Sage of Eternity.
She was the mightiest sorceress the world has ever known.
She was one of the 7 people with the rank of Sage.
She was a woman who managed to pass the 12-ring rule of mages and refined her magic rings many times to reach 48 magic rings.
She was the epitome of the greatest power a person could achieve, and she was the one who stood by the whole world until the end of her life when there was a war, until the demons and angels of the highest rank poisoned her, weakened her, and then killed her.
That was why Atlas held her in such high regard.
"Lady Cordelia..." Atlas said and bowed his neck for the first time since he came to this world. This woman was someone who deserved it.
"Easy. You look fine, so you can take the test, right?" Cordelia said suddenly, not seeming to care that someone was bowing to her.
"Yes, m'lady, I'm fine," Atlas replied, and then looking at the other boys he added, "I just thought the test and the combat exam were later."

"Yes, that's true for the others, but if your power level is what the professors and the other kids said, you'll have to take the test in a private room. You can avoid the written exam if you want," Cordelia replied.
Hearing this, Atlas shook his head gently and replied, "I prefer to take the exams in their entirety, my lady, I'm sure there will be those in the academy who will oppose what I do." Atlas replied.
After these words, Cordelia's face became clearer and the beautiful woman smiled and said, "Alright, follow me."
With that, Atlas started to follow Cordelia walking in front of him and almost all the professors entered a huge room with the duo.
It looked like a small arena. Atlas knew very well where this place was. It was usually his own training ground where fourth and fifth-year students tried to complete their combat training.
There was no place to sit around the arena, it would not be correct to call it an arena anyway, it was just a huge area surrounded by walls.
Atlas was left in the middle of this area with a table with five exam papers in front of him and an empty chair. Around him stood hundreds of professors. It was honestly pretty much of a good feeling.
When Atlas pulled out the chair and sat on it, he simply checked the exam papers and then asked, 'Are we sure these are the questions?' with a strange expression.
Atlas' words seemed to surprise each of them.
"Yes, is there a problem? Are they too hard?" Cordelia asked.
"No, on the contrary, they're quite easy. I don't think they can even come close to the difficulty my sister described," Atlas said, and then he picked up the pencil on the table and started answering the questions in order.
In just three minutes, five exam papers were filled back to front. Still, the last question on the fifth page couldn't help but make him think a little.
