Lin Xian immediately organized the group to take action. Ning Jing, Qian Deli, Monica, and Brother Huo left with Jiang Yun.
Meanwhile, Lin Xian led KIKI, Shi Zhi, and Zhou Jin’s special team from an underground parking lot of an abandoned building. He released dozens of construction drones to perform ground cutting at designated spots, creating a passage several meters deep. Soon, they reached the reinforced concrete dome of a large underground structure. Lin Xian then controlled the drones to cut open a pathway, revealing a dark void below, and a large military tunnel appeared before them.

Members of Zhou Jin’s special team stood in awe, and the female scout Xiao Yan couldn’t help but remark.

Just as Lin Xian was about to release drones for scouting, a swift sound of something slicing through the air emanated from the underground passage. It was as if a high-speed magnetic levitation transport car rushed by, its lights flashing briefly before a burst of air surged from the hole.
"Watch out, there’s a high-speed transport network below," Zhou Jin said. "This is a top-level permanent structure where various types of missiles, space-based weapons, and strategic materials can traverse underground. What we see now is only the top layer."
"A transport device just passed by; it seems the Federation is still managing operations."
Lin Xian dispatched drones for illumination and reconnaissance while starting to fabricate a suspension ladder, then asked Shi Zhi, "Did you notice anything unusual?"
Shi Zhi shook her head.
"Good."
Lin Xian promptly descended the ladder into the excavated passage and jumped down.
Instantly, he was greeted by a cold, dry breeze. As the lights expanded, a large enclosed tunnel came into view, with a metallic structure, dual bespoke magnetic levitation connection tracks on the ground, an advanced axial flow ventilation system on the ceiling, and dense arrays of tubes crisscrossing the walls. Additionally, the permanent structure was equipped with fully automated fire-fighting systems.
"Nearest from here is an underground fixed installation capable of accommodating two thousand people in wartime, functioning as a central system," Lin Xian checked the time and said, "Captain Zhou, I’ll leave that to you. I’m heading directly into the inner port of Star City, and handling these surveillance systems should be straightforward for me."
Zhou Jin nodded and synchronized his time with Lin Xian: "Alright, Chu Yan’s unit is at the Double Star Tower and should rendezvous with you later. Once we tap into the underground central system, we might find some leads. Keep in touch."
With that, Zhou Jin led the special unit through the side passage toward the fixed installation at location A.
The entire underground network has nearly ten similar installations. With leads from Wen Hui and Zhou Mingyuan having dried up, this underground installation is likely the collaborative site for the Vanguard Plan and the Deep Red World. Simultaneously, it provides Lin Xian and the others a direct route into the Inner City. For now, Lin Xian, Zhou Jin, Chu Yan, and Qino must proceed separately, either hacking into the underground information network or performing a grid search, eventually converging on the Star Port and No.1 Underground City.

KIKI nodded: "I thought you’d ask me to fly us over."
"That wouldn’t be safe," Lin Xian remarked. "I can’t disable every surveillance camera. When the next train comes, you just bring Shi Zhi and me along."
