Apocalypse: I Have A Multiplier System-Chapter 516: Mu Fashion
Chapter 516: Chapter 516: Mu Fashion
Qin Feng’s expression turned cold.
"That makes sense. Most small bases don’t let people leave. They need taxes, they need manpower. Letting a group go without a fight? That’s a red flag."
Not long after, the car rolled to a gentle stop. They had reached Hope Base.
Su Jiyai didn’t get out right away. She looked back at the sleeping people.
"I’ll wait until they wake up," she said to Qin Feng. "I’m not letting them in just because they look pitiful. There are many pitiful people in this world... but that doesn’t mean all of them should be allowed into my base."
Qin Feng agreed. "We don’t know what danger they might carry."
Su Jiyai tapped a few commands on her wrist device. A second later, a tall, serious-looking soldier appeared outside the car and saluted her.
"Guard them," she said. "Don’t wake them. Just make sure they’re safe."
"Yes, Boss Su," the soldier nodded.
With that, Su Jiyai and Qin Feng stepped out of the car.
The sun was bright, and the gates of Hope Base stood tall and strong in front of them. People bowed or saluted respectfully as she walked past.
"Boss Su!"
"Welcome back, Boss!"
As they walked slowly toward the main building, they started to talk about random things.
Everything felt peaceful... until they passed three men walking on the other side of the path.
Those three weren’t saluting. Instead, they were whispering to each other.
But they weren’t quiet enough.
"Lin Hao really knows how to suck up," one man snorted.
"Yeah, clinging to an old woman like that just for money. He’s smart, I guess."
"Haha! Bet he never even gets to enjoy life with her. She’s like... grandma age! All wrinkles and bones!"
"Still, he’s probably swimming in rewards. Greedy dog!"
The men chuckled among themselves like it was the funniest joke in the world.
Qin Feng stopped in his tracks. His jaw clenched, but he didn’t say a word.
Su Jiyai heard it all too.
Her hands balled into fists, hidden under her sleeves.
Her eyes flashed with quiet rage.
Old woman?
Greedy man?
Gold digger?
She was half-ready to snap her fingers and release the disguise.
To show them the truth.
To show them the flawless face beneath the illusion—the glowing skin, the long hair, the sharp, bright eyes that had left many stunned and speechless before.
But she held herself back.
Not yet.
Not for some barking dogs.
Still, the thought stayed in her mind. Her pride wasn’t hurt because they thought she was old—it was hurt because they insulted Qin Feng, the one man who had stood beside her without ever asking for a single reward.
As they walked on, she whispered coldly to Qin Feng, "Ignore them. They’re flies. We don’t argue with flies."
Qin Feng smiled slightly, still looking ahead. "Don’t worry, Boss. Flies don’t live long."
Though Qin Feng had said "flies don’t live long," his heart wasn’t calm at all.
He walked beside Su Jiyai, his face calm like a still lake... but inside, his thoughts were a storm.
He glanced sideways at her.
Once she removes her disguise, he thought, everyone will know how beautiful and young she really is. ƒгeewebnovёl_com
And when that happens... will people question her choice?
He looked down at his own hands—the hands of Lin Hao, the body he was currently using. Yes, he was strong. Yes, he had power. But what else did he have?
He wasn’t a base leader anymore. He didn’t have wealth or land. He didn’t come from a rich family. Compared to her now... he was just someone with nothing under his name.
Su Jiyai had already built the most powerful base. She had loyal soldiers, rare tech, and more food than anyone could dream of.
She deserves someone better... someone of equal standing. Like a base leader’s son. Or someone with political power. Not... not someone like me.
Still, he didn’t say anything.
He just smiled, pretending he didn’t care.
But Su Jiyai didn’t notice his silence. She was already imagining the future with a warm heart.
I’ll propose to him, she thought. Not now. But once I help him recover his real body... and once I reveal my real face.
She looked up at the sky, a soft smile tugging at her lips.
When everyone sees the real Qin Feng standing beside me—strong, brave, and loyal—they will know. They will respect our bond. He was a general once. He can become even greater again.
He was always my partner.
Her heart fluttered. She felt so happy... she didn’t notice how Qin Feng’s mood had turned gloomy right beside her.
Just then, they heard some giggles.
Su Jiyai turned her head and nearly stumbled from surprise.
A whole group of people was walking nearby.
All of them were wearing white t-shirts with big, red letters that screamed:
"I LOVE THE LEADER OF HOPE BASE"
Su Jiyai’s mouth twitched.
Qin Feng’s brow furrowed hard.
The group walked proudly like they were the main characters of the base. Their shirts sparkled under the sun as they passed by, showing off the bold message again and again.
"What the heck..." Su Jiyai muttered.
"They think this is fashion?" Qin Feng asked in disbelief.
At that moment, some excited base members walked up to the flashiest person in the group—a young man with stylish hair, shiny boots, and rings on every finger.
His face lit up when someone asked, "Hey! Bro! Where can we buy that shirt?"
The young man smiled with pride. "Ah, good taste! You can buy it at Mu Fashion. That’s our brand."
The person blinked. "Mu Fashion?"
"Yep! And not just shirts," the young man grinned. "We’ve got socks, mugs, posters—even lunchboxes with Boss Su’s face on them!"
Su Jiyai: <(" 0 ")>
Qin Feng: (ʘᗩʘ’)
They were stunned.
So this was what the Mu family had been up to.
Using her name and fame... to open a fashion store?!
Su Jiyai’s lips twitched again. Her expression looked calm... but her eyebrow was jumping in anger.
She listened as the people laughed and praised the "great leader of Hope Base."
But when someone asked the Mu group, "Do you guys love Boss Su?"
They all nodded and said with big smiles:
"Of course! We worship Boss Su!"
"She’s amazing! She’s the best puppet of the base leader!"
"Yeah! Without our mysterious leader, Boss Su wouldn’t have gotten this far!"
Su Jiyai froze.
Qin Feng looked at her.
She was... boiling inside.
Puppet?!
The mysterious leader?!! I AM THE BASE LEADER!
Her hand twitched.
She was ready to march up and scream the truth at their faces.
But just as she stepped forward, Qin Feng gently grabbed her wrist.
"Boss Su," he said calmly, "if they’re using your name... shouldn’t you make them pay?"
Su Jiyai blinked. "Pay?"
Qin Feng smirked like a clever fox. "They’re making money off of your fame. At the very least, they owe you... a big cut of the profit."
Su Jiyai paused, then chuckled.
She looked at Qin Feng and smiled like a queen who had just remembered her throne.
"You’re right. Let’s deal with this smartly."
She turned around and calmly walked toward the underground rooms.
As they walked in, soldiers saluted her again, and she gave a nod.
When she entered the command center, she saw Yuan Xin working on some reports.
"Xin," Su Jiyai said in a calm, icy voice. "Call Mu Rongjie. Bring him to the conference room."
Yuan Xin blinked. "The head of the Mu family?"
"Yes," Su Jiyai said. "I have something to discuss with him."
Yuan Xin immediately stood up. "Yes, Boss! Right away!"
As he hurried out of the room, he couldn’t help but wonder:
What did the Mu family do this time... to make Boss Su sound so calm and scary at the same time?
Yuan Xin walked out of the command room quickly, his footsteps echoing in the hallway. He tapped on his wrist device and connected the call to Mu Rongjie.
"Mr. Mu, Boss Su requests your presence in the conference room. Immediately."
Mu Rongjie, who had been sitting on a fancy lounge chair with his family around him, raised his eyebrows in surprise.
He smirked and turned to the Mu family members around him.
"Looks like the real leader of Hope Base has finally noticed my talents," he said proudly. "Maybe they want to praise me. Or even form a partnership."
The other members of the Mu family gasped and clapped their hands.
"Wow! Head Mu is amazing!"
"You’re gonna be in charge of Hope Base fashion forever!"
"Maybe they’ll ask you to design uniforms for the guards!"
Everyone looked super excited.
Mu Rongjie stood up straight, fixed his jacket, and combed back his shiny hair.
"Let’s not keep the mastermind waiting," he said coolly, walking out with a proud look on his face and his nose slightly in the air.
Soon, he reached the conference room and entered.
"Greetings," he said respectfully, "may I know if I am speaking to the true leader of Hope Base?"
