Chapter 233: Grandfather-in-Laws Task!

Jiang Siwan guided us to the end of the hallway.

A sturdy pair of metal double doors awaited. On the right wall, a panel flashed, asking for identification and an iris scan.

The moment she stepped forward, she leaned close to scan the card on her neck. I watched her pencil skirt riding up her hips... the tight black stockings dug into her thighs and crotch, revealing the outline of her laced panties.

"John!" Jiang Roulan elbowed me.

"Ugh... what?"

I tried to play it cool.

She pulled up close, the scent of her breath blowing into my face. "You checked out my mothers ass right?" Then she suddenly reached out and grabbed my cock. "Y-You!?"

I couldn’t help it... her mother had a nice ass.

So, of course, the blood flowed to my little brother.

"Rou!" I grunted as her fingers squeezed tighter. I put my hand on her hips and pinched her through the bodysuit in retaliation.

At that moment, Jiang Siwan looked back at us. Her eyes flicked between us. "What are you two doing?" Her gaze lingered on Roulan’s hand on my crotch until it swiftly slipped away. "Can’t you hold back a few minutes? You’re about ot meet your grandfather, now look at him..." Siwan pointed to the evident bulge. "That won’t do—it won’t do."

It was pretty amusing.

"Ah..." Jiang Siwan moved over to me. She stood so close I could see down her shirt and smell the faint scent of perfume from her body. "Can’t you make it go down?" Her eyes looked worried as the door hissed. A low, grinding hummed through the metal before the doors opened.

If you let me put it in your mouth...

I swallowed the words that came to my mind the moment she asked.

"Don’t worry mother, this bastard is a dog that gets hard for any bitch he see’s." Roulan spoke with a sharp, dry tone that resembled Siwan’s low, husky tone. "What? Look at you! Hmph."

I hadn’t seen her this way before.

"Sorry."

Sometimes being too much of a horndog can be a bad thing...

I sucked in the cold, sterile air filled with the perfume of two women, mother and daughter while focusing myself. Now wasn’t the time to flirt or seduce, but to face Roulan’s father and to gain access to the base or more.

With this in mind, I managed to calm down. "You’re ready?"

The look in Roulan’s eyes seemed doubtful. I leaned close and stroked her cheek before stealing a brief kiss. Her lips tasted like honey and felt sticky.

"That’s a nice lipgloss." I hummed, stepping forward, with her hand in mine.

"J-John..."

There it is, her sweet voice.

I’d managed to avoid the fallout from perving on her mother.

"Don’t worry, I know."

"..."

Through this, I peeked at Jiang Siwan from the corner of my eyes, but she seemed oblivious or knew exactly what I was doing and chose to stay out of it.

"Come on, your grandfather hates to be kept waiting." Siwan led us into the cool office.

From the moment I entered, it felt different.

A slight chill in the air from the air conditioning, the sweet scent of flowers from behind the desk where the old man sat with his hands pressed together.

"Welcome."

Her grandfather’s voice filled the room like a surging tide, deep and all-encompassing. I couldn’t help but feel small in front of such a figure.

"Father, how are you?"

I watched as Jiang Siwan stepped around the desk and hugged her father, who leaned up to kiss her on the forehead while mumbling something.

The change in his expression was slight, yet unmistakable.

"I am fine, Siwan... but why is that brat here too?" His eyes narrowed as he glared at me, accompanied by a huff from his nostrils.

"Father, you know why."

Jiang Siwan stepped back and moved closer to me, then pointed to Roulan. "Father, this is John Wang. He is our Roulan’s lover."

The old man leaned forward with a cold expression. "So, you’re the guy... Hmph, why are you so calm?"

He spoke with a gruff tone, his eyes scanning over my body, pausing at the crotch, and my hands turning with a slight disgust.

"If I act nervous here, it reflects badly on Miss Siwan and Roulan."

I looked him in the eyes while grasping the small hand that shook in mine.

"Oh?" He made a strange sound before turning to Roulan.

Jiang Lao brushed his beard with his thumb, "Well, I heard you sent that fool running, hmph good... and you even got a small group of survivors together. How many?"

The man asked.

"Seventy-two, grandfather."

His eyes narrowed on me, then he nodded slightly. "W-Who are you calling grandfather?"

Though he seemed cranky and sharp at first, Jiang Lao appeared to be softening toward his granddaughter.

"Does he take care of you, Lan’er?"

This time he spoke directly to Roulan, who shook, her shoulders lifting straight. "Yes. He has been there for me since everything fell apart. I like him a lot."

Roulan’s voice sounded sweet, like that of a young girl in front of this old man. She was always strong and confident in her skills and intelligence.

Seeing this new side of her was interesting. I wanted to enjoy it some more, but the jealousy on her grandfather’s face might end me.

I wonder what else he wants to know...

"You have a nice build, were you into some kind of sport, or part of the force?" His eyes shone for a moment, asking.

It wasn’t the time to lie or make something up.

Since he would be akin to family, although that meant little to me, I could see how much it meant to Roulan and decided to be honest. "I worked for the Mu Group, but this figure is almost completely from after the fall."

"Hmph, then how did you get so strong?"

He asked with a cold tone, his gaze seeming to pierce my soul as he looked me over.

"I cannot tell you other than fighting, devouring and surviving."

The room became silent.

Jiang Siwan and Roulan looked at me, then at their relative with bated breath.

The pressure in the room continued to grow with each passing moment, without a sound.

Yet it was the old man who broke the silence first, starting to chuckle. "Good, that’s it! If you were a foolish layaround who didn’t have a spine I might have been disappointed." He then looked at Siwan with soft eyes. "One mistake is enough for me..."

"Father?" Siwan’s voice leaked.

"It’s true, Siwan if I chose a better—No, if I let you do as you wished." He sighed, looking out the window, unlike the beautiful mansion and base it faced, the destroyed fields where zombies still roamed.

As if to remember the one who sat there.

"Can you protect my grandaughter, John Wang?" A deep voice echoed as if dragging it out letter by letter.

I couldn’t turn away because of his magnetic gaze.

The force and aura of this man, close to a Stage Four at least, was the same as Jiang Siwan’s—their power was far beyond normal.

"Alone, I would struggled." The old man’s face looked disappointed. "But with her fighting beside me, I have no doubts."

Siwan and Roulan looked at me, their reactions and expressions identical to those of sisters.

I felt like kissing them both.

That’s how cute the pair looked.

"I see..."

The old man didn’t say more, but his lips quivered at the corner.

Did I fail?

"John Wang, I’ll give you a chance for your words." He pointed towards a window that overlooked the field of zombies below. "If you can clear that field before dark falls tomorrow, then you pass."

There must have been at least a thousand Stage One zombies, hundreds of Stage Two and a few dozen Stage Three.

None of them posed a threat, but did he plan to add a catch?

"You will take Li Ya and Tang Wei, it’s intersting how small the world is, but you must return within twelve hours and without a single wound on your body." He then tapped his desk. "Guns are prohibited."

Roulan and Siwan looked shocked.

"Father! That is too much!"

"Grandfather!"

But he put his hand up, and they both fell silent. "This is a matter of the family, not the base. I must have complete trust in this boy to accept him as your groom. Roulan, you understand our clan laws."

"...screw the laws." Jiang Roulan muttered, like a child arguing back.

"Father, are you sure?" Siwan followed her daughter.

The two women doubted his decision, but the old man just looked at me with a smirk on his lips.

"This little bastard will complete this task easily, right?" He winked.

I wanted to tease the old man, so I lifted my chin with a smile.

"If you aren’t careful, it won’t just be your granddaughter I take, old man."

He froze.

It seemed to take him a moment to realise as he looked towards Jiang Siwan. "You little bastard!" He shouted with a red face.

"Haha... Don’t get so angry, or I might have to give you some of the medicine for your old heart."

"Shut up, I don’t need that kind of thing... Hmph!"

The old man turned away and sat back down, but it seemed I had passed.

"Leave in two hours."

However, I should have checked the Jiang Women’s faces....
