Apocalyptic Beastworld: A Farming Space Dimension to Another World-Chapter 127: A Chase

The gigantic elephants were exactly the horde Mo Lingfeng was talking about.

At this moment, they secretly cursed Du Yufei in their hearts, "You scoundrel!"

Even though they already knew about the existence of the elephant horde, now that they saw them through their own eyes, their hearts still trembled with fear.

At this moment, they kept getting pushed back by the fierce beasts.

Du Yufei was full of regrets, but unfortunately, being regretful was useless. He gritted his teeth before he finally made a decision.

"Mo Lingfeng!" He shouted loudly amidst the sounds of fighting. "I found the water source. Let’s go there... Master Xie might be there!"

Mo Lingfeng was taken aback, and soon, he and Zhou Yunhan locked eyes. They scanned the beastmen’s injuries before they made a decision.

"Follow Du Yufei!" They announced, their voice thundered across the place. "Don’t leave anyone behind. Carry the injured ones!"

Zhou Yunhan and Fang Meilin stayed at the rear, trying to hold back the elephants from running and trampling against their teammates.

Fortunately, they had some pills which helped with their recovery. The elephant’s trunks and feet could easily injure their vulnerable beastmen skin, which were similar to humans.

The packed, tall, and lush trees also served as hindrance to the group of elephants, giving them less room for movement. As such, their speed also slowed down a lot, enough for the beastmen to flee.

"Yufei, did you see it correctly? A water source?" Mo Lingfeng asked in a serious tone.

If that was the case, they could contact Xie Ziyuan with the method they had agreed before.

"I saw it with my own eyes. I swear I didn’t imagine it." Du Yufei pursed his lips. "The water isn’t that clear, but if it’s for the castle’s moat, such water is still acceptable, right? Master Xie already told us that any water is good."

It was in the morning, and as such, Su Yining wasn’t around. With her absence, she wasn’t aware of what was happening to the base members and couldn’t help.

The elephants were truly persistent creatures, the beastmen lamented. Even after chasing them for so long, the elephants still hadn’t given up. For them, the grudge was indeed a blood debt one—not easily reconciliable.

"There, there, head this way!" Along the way, Du Yufei kept on shouting as he showed them toward the direction of the water source.

"The water isn’t clear?" Mo Lingfeng took a deep breath. "Then, it must be a water that is infested with fierce beasts, isn’t it?"

A stunned look appeared on Du Yufei’s face. He scratched the back of his head. He found that Mo Lingfeng’s words made sense. However, they also currently had no choice. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

"Let’s go there," Mo Lingfeng decided.

Du Yufei caught the flicker in Mo Lingfeng’s eyes, and his own eyes lit up. He thought, perhaps he and Mo Lingfeng shared the same thoughts.

If the water source was really infested with the fierce beasts, there might be a breakthrough to get out of this situation.

With that thought in mind, they speed up their pace. Mo Lingfeng turned into an eagle and lifted the injured beastmen who couldn’t run anymore to Ma Yongcheng’s back. It was a pity that not everyone had a small beast form. Otherwise, Ma Yongcheng could have carried more beastmen with him.

Mo Lingfeng whispered something to Zhou Yunhan and Fang Meilin’s ears.

Soon, they reached the water source Du Yifei was talking about. He gave a loud chirp to remind other beastmen to carry out the plan according to their assigned tasks.

The beastmen carrying their injured teammates parted ways, letting Zhou Yunhan and Fang Meilin pass by with their incredible speed.

The thick vegetation managed to cover some of the beastmen’s tracks while the elephant horde’s furious roars were directed at both of them.

Their figures flashed, but they were quick to react before they fell to the water. Zhou Yunhan bit Fang Meilin’s collar and he jumped away nimbly.

The elephants couldn’t stop in time. Some of them fell into the water. Just as Mo Lingfeng guessed, there were fierce beasts which inhabited it.

A few crocodiles were quick to entangle with the falling elephants. Seeing a huge meal delivered at their doorsteps, they weren’t going to let them get away so easily. The elephants were land animals, and despite the advantage of their huge size, they struggled to fight against so many crocodiles biting at them.

The beastmen weren’t idle either. They were also busy fighting against the elephants which hadn’t fallen into the water.

"Mo Lingfeng, go contact Master Xie," Du Yufei urged.

He shifted to his beast form, and flew away as if a ghost was chasing him. His eyes scanned the battlefield before he spotted a bloodied figure somewhere among the elephant’s feet.

When he came back, he was holding a little black cat in his mouth. Lin Yu’an was completely unconscious. In order to bring him away, Du Yufei activated his ability.

At this moment, he thought that his ability wasn’t that useless after all. He could change the size of his body at will, but it also required a lot of energy. He wouldn’t be able to keep it up for long, so he must hurry.

Letting two opposing sides deal with each other was always a risky move. Any of the two forces could turn to deal with them.
