As Aizen in Naruto and Joined a Chat Group-Chapter 385: Dumbledore’s Request
Amegakure Village’s Angel: Astronomy?
Skirt-Flipping Maniac: It’s about studying stars, the moon, the sun... that kind of subject. But in the magic world, they probably don’t study it like regular science.
This is an Actor: Yeah, it’s basically mystical stuff. They use star patterns to check and watch changes in magic energy waves, and the success rate of big spells.
Machete Girl: Wow, sounds really complicated.
This is an Actor: It’s not complicated. This stuff is basically just nonsense.
Doujin Artist: Nonsense? So you mean astronomy is basically a useless class, like Divination?
This is an Actor: It has some use, but for young wizards, it’s almost zero. Besides knowing a few star groups, it has no real practical value. Let me think how to improve it.
Curly-haired Guy: Improve it? Why bother?
Pretty Boy from Skull Island: Does Mr. Anzen really plan to teach young wizards some real useful knowledge?
Doujin Artist: No need for that, right? You’re going to Hogwarts just to finish the Paradise Tower plan. Why do extra work that gets you no thanks?
Skirt-Flipping Maniac: A Dark Lord actually wanting to teach kids? That’s way too weird.
This is an Actor: Not weird. I don’t see a conflict between the two. The Dark Lord plan and teaching students are both part of my role. Since it’s my job, I should do it properly.
Scarlet Lotus Fairy: Wow, you’re really dedicated.
Lazy Kitten: So dedicated I don’t even know how to make fun of it. Totally amazing!
This is an Actor: You guys don’t get what acting is really about. A true actor never slips up, no matter the role. And to avoid slipping up, you fully become that character.
Message sent. By now, Gerald had reached the door of the Hogwarts headmaster’s office. He cleared his throat and said the password "Cockroach Cluster." The stone door slowly opened.
He stepped into the office. First thing he saw were lively oil paintings. These were all past Hogwarts headmasters. Even though their bodies were gone, they lived on in another way.
Next to the paintings, at the desk, stood the bespectacled, kind-faced old man Whitebeard. He was by the chair, eyes fixed on Gerald as he walked in. "Long time no see, Zickrein."
"Long time no see, Professor Dumbledore." Gerald smiled and bowed a bit.
According to the group rules’ setting, in this world, Zickrein had spent a lot of time with Dumbledore and the other Hogwarts professors.
After all, this world’s Zickrein was only fourteen, and in the Harry Potter magic world view, a fourteen-year-old with his achievements was one of a kind in history.
Zickrein’s legendary growth, besides being a total genius, also came from great teachers. His main guide was naturally Dumbledore and the Hogwarts professors.
Of course, all this was a script and path "Gerald" had set up from the start.
Growing up under the greatest white wizard’s watch made "Zickrein’s" cover stronger and harder to crack. It also cleared up a lot of doubts and suspicions. Perfect plan with many wins.
"Two years, and you’ve grown taller."
Gotta say, Gerald’s plan worked great. At least now, Dumbledore looked at him with real warmth, like watching a young plant he raised bloom brightly. "How’s work at the Ministry of Magic?"
"Can’t really do much. Can’t do anything truly meaningful." Gerald answered softly.
"But that’s an important life experience, right?" Dumbledore winked playfully at him and tapped the metal tin on the desk with his wand.
Clatter.
The metal tin suddenly opened wide and spit out a bunch of weird snacks. Mostly sweets, with some odd-flavor beans mixed in.
"Want some?"
"No thanks, Professor. You know I don’t like these little snacks."
"Oh, right! I remember you love meat. But as people get older, they start liking sweet tastes. I can’t live without them now."
"You have to go through dangers to taste sweetness."
"You still say those wise-beyond-your-years things, my boy." Dumbledore sighed a bit helplessly. Then: "We old folks agreed to let you come back to Hogwarts as staff. But our goal isn’t just to make you a professor." He pulled a letter from the drawer and handed it to Gerald.
Gerald took the letter and read it carefully. He looked puzzled. "Half-student?"
"Yep." Dumbledore smiled. "You’ll get professor pay and don’t have to teach classes. But you must join school student activities, and do it as a Hogwarts student."
Gerald paused, then said: "If that’s the professors’ decision, I’ll follow it."
"It’s not a decision, my boy." Dumbledore shook his head. "We just want to give you real student-life fun memories, not just time with a few old professors."
"Thanks to you and the professors." Gerald nodded politely.
"It’s what we should do." Dumbledore popped a Cockroach Cluster in his mouth, then added: "Also, this old man has a personal favor to ask. Um, it’s about that Chosen One."
Gerald got it right away. "I’ll keep an eye on him for you."
"Go on. We kept your room at Hogwarts ready for you." Dumbledore smiled happily and said softly: "Yelas misses you too. Visit when you can."
"Sure, Professor." Gerald nodded and turned to leave.
Watching his back as he left, Dumbledore’s smile faded. He slowly pulled a black seal from his pocket. His eyes turned very serious.
