Duke Willow scrutinized the board, sighing helplessly after realizing where she had messed up. "I don't believe I'll ever be able to best you at chess. I never have, and I doubt that fact will be changing anytime soo—"

WAOOOOOM!!!

Interrupting her words was the eruption of an absurd amount of energy from the Secret Realm's Space Crack. It shook everyone out of their stupor, urging them to stop whatever they were doing and teleport to the source of the disturbance.

"This level of power…" Water Deity brooded, a complicated look etched across his face. His eyes focused on the tendrils of Innate Energy wildly swinging around the Secret Realm. "It's above the Soul Transformation Realm…"

"A Void Refining Realm Grandmaster!?" Count Buford exclaimed, his mouth agape. "How could there be a Void Refining Realm Expert's aura pulsating from the Devilstar Secret Realm???"

It was at that moment that the tens of thousands of Cultivators outside the Secret Realm heard a furious bellow that shook them to their cores:

"YOU!!! HOW COULD AN ANT LIKE YOU HAVE POSSIBLY ASSIMILATED WITH THE OUTER GOD'S MARK!??"

WAAAA!!

"YOU DARE EXPEL ME!?? WHEN I FIND YOU, I'LL SKIN YOU ALIVE AND DISEMBOWEL YOUR FAMILY IN FRONT OF YO—"

Before the booming voice could bleed the ears of anyone else, it was suddenly cut off. A blaring, static-like sound then echoed as the faint murmurings of a different voice drowned out what little remained of the original voice.

A change then occurred in the Secret Realm's Entrance as a figure akin to a fallen immortal broke through the Spatial Crack. His striking gold eyes scanned his environment, noticing thousands of people who had come out to greet him.

"Ho?" Knox's brow raised as he saw several powerhouses emitting auras so great that space bent around them. "Seems like quite a lot of you have made it here today. Good, I was worried that I wouldn't have any decent punching dummies to test out my new Physique."

Brandishing an unfamiliar nagikatana his size in length, Knox swung it around. Arcs of blood sprayed the skies as glowing gold horns grew atop his forehead. A long, unruly tail quickly followed suit, swaying in a violent yet rhythmic way behind him.

"Is that… my Knox…?" Nyx was taken aback. The man looming above them was extraordinarily handsome, just like her younger brother, but almost everything else about him was different.

It felt as if he had ascended to a higher plane of existence. He was ethereal, like a Divine Deity who had decided to grace the common mortals with his presence.

The Trial Takers who were sent back before him felt their spines tingle. This was especially the case for Alden, who couldn't believe the person he was staring at to be the same one who had been restricted to his bed for over a dozen years…

"Knox Falazar!!!"

The wrathful roar of the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect Leader reverberated. The owner of the roar blasted out with a Half-step Soul Transformation Realm aura—one that left the weaker Cultivators gasping for oxygen.

Knox indifferently turned toward the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect Leader. His killing intent negated most of the old fogey's aura, causing him to reel back in shock.

However, the real shock had yet to come, for Knox blurred. He reappeared mere inches away from the Sect Leader, Sword of the End outstretched.

"Don't you dar—"

SHING!

Without caring a single bit about what the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect Leader had to say, Knox slashed diagonally. A large gash emerged on the Sect Leader's chest, forcing him to cough up a blot of blood.

"You're in the Half-step Soul Transformation Realm?" Knox mocked coldly. "Disappointing. So very disappointing."

"You bastard!!!" Sect Leader Ten Thousand Poisons pushed him away with his Innate Energy before backing up and glaring at him. "I'll slaughter you and your entire family!!!"

OOOM!

A massive pressure crushed down on the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect Leader, making him cough out even more blood. He looked up with out-of-focus vision; his horror skyrocketed when he saw the refined middle-aged man hovering above him.

"C-Count Falazar…!"

Count Falazar emotionlessly looked down at the injured Sect Leader. "You'll be slaughtering whose family now? Please tell me more, as you have piqued my interest."

"Th-That is…" Sect Leader Ten Thousand Poisons frightfully averted his gaze, suddenly finding the floor far more interesting to stare at. "I-I meant no offense by it, Count. It's just that…."

"It's just that what?" Count Falazar questioned. His thinned eyes glowed a deadly shade of red as he pressured the scared Sect Leader into submission. "You must wholeheartedly believe that just you and those other three buffoons ganging together is enough to bully my family. But you'd be mistaken; you're a fool. Just like they are fools."

He briefly glanced at Count Buford, Count Thorne, and Count Roderick. His glare was filled with immeasurable disdain. It was as if he were looking at the lowliest, most irredeemable of trash.

"Falazar…"

The three Counts ground their teeth in frustration, but they knew that they were no match for him in one-on-one combat. They might have stood a chance of besting him if they teamed up and made use of the joint formations they had stationed their subordinates at. However, with the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect Leader tied up with the drilling done by Count Falazar, there was nothing they could do at the moment.

He was key if they wanted to successfully take down the War General known far and wide for his martial prowess.

Back in the day, Count Falazar had single-handedly fended off more than a dozen Half-step Soul Transformation Realm powerhouses from the Fire and Air Nations. Furthermore, he had done so while heavily handicapped by a formation they had erected to kill him.

While just about everyone was distracted by the ever-growing tension between Count Falazar and Sect Leader Ten Thousand Poisons, a woman with an amply blessed figure was looking elsewhere. She first noticed the subtle hand signals being made by Knox, then connected them to the silent changes happening with the Devilstar Secret Realm.

A small, amused smile crept up this woman's divinely beautiful face as she watched the Devilstar Secret Realm spit out six youngins before shrinking and shooting toward Knox. The shrunken Secret Realm then vanished into his body, its presence completely erased.

"How so very intriguing," the woman mused with pursed lips. Her pretty aqua eyes shimmered as they never left Knox's side. "So this is the young man my disciple can't seem to quit raving about."
