Attribute Farming System-Chapter 104: Saya Willow, Duke Willow
Inside the Falazar Count Family's Spirit Ship, a couple of very powerful figures were engrossed in a game of chess. Their voices conveyed their truths, matching the moves that flickered chess pieces across a mahogany board.
"Why did you never tell me your eldest son was such a genius, Count Falazar?" The gentle voice of a gorgeous woman garbed in purple dripped into Knox's father's ears. "If you had informed me of his existence beforehand, I would've been more than happy to arrange an appropriate marriage between our two families."
"Even if it were with your eldest daughter, Lady Willow?"
Duke Willow's flawless facial features stagnated as she processed the question, her brows furrowing.
Count Falazar chuckled as he moved a pawn across the board. "You must forgive my lackluster sense of humor, Lady Willow. I'm well aware that your eldest must maintain her chastity if she wishes to join the Purpledream Isle's Sister Covet."
Duke Willow knew full well that he was purposefully playing with her, but she still responded courteously. "It's okay, Count Falazar; we all speak out of turn every now and then. Consider it forgotten."
"Hoho?" Count Falazar smiled, finding her passive-aggressive way of speaking rather amusing. "It's your turn."
Duke Willow appraised the board, a bit of annoyance forming in her expression. "It's your win—"
"Hold on, you still have a play right there," Count Falazar interrupted, pointing to her Queen piece. "You should never dismiss the Queen so easily, Lady Willow."
Duke Willow's beautifully carved eyebrows knitted further together as she figured out what play he was referring to. Though begrudgingly, she picked up her Queen and moved it to a spot that kept the game going.
As the two of them traded words while progressing the game, a few figures quietly sitting outside their room wore varying expressions.
Alden Falazar felt his blood boil at the repeated mentions of the person he abhorred more than anyone else. "That trash is just a stupid cripple! Why is everyone making such a big commotion over him!? Even I could do what he's doing in the Secret Realm if given the chance—"
"Shut up."
"!!!"
Feeling his entire existence shiver uncontrollably, Alden looked over, only to see the fierce expression of Nyx Falazar piercing into his soul.
"Quit your babbling, Alden," she commanded coldly. "One more nasty remark, and I'll be forced to forgo our blood relations. Know your place."
Alden, unable to do anything else, furiously nodded before averting his shaky gaze.
Nyx could tell by the way he was tightly clenching his robe that the trouble he'd cause had yet to end, but she lectured him no more. Instead, she looked at the graceful woman sitting a few meters away.
Saya Willow.
The eldest daughter of Duke Willow. Also the first in line to succeed the position of Duke.
"Hmm?" Feeling a familiar glare, Saya turned toward Nyx. Her lips curled upward as she laughed like an eloquent noblewoman. "Why the hostility, sister? Is something bothering you?"
Nyx clicked her tongue. "Don't call me your sister. And yes, something's bothering me!" she spat. "You!"
Saya giggled, her luscious locks of golden-brown hair fluttering around her perfectly sculpted face. "Sister Nyx, you really should learn how to rein in that temper of yours. How are you to find a good husband if you're always lashing out at everyone around you?"
*Tick!*
"You annoying b*tch!" Nyx's aura violently fluctuated, her Heaven-ranked sword vibrating like crazy. "Not that it's any of your damn business, but I don't need a husband; I have my Knox. And why the hell are you even here?? Weren't you leaving for that faction far away from the Elemental Nations!? Why haven't you bit the dust yet!?"
"Your Knox, huh?" Interest and amusement mixed together in Saya's crystalline eyes. "You're still the same die-hard brother-con as ever, I see. And I leave for the Purpledream Isles a couple of years from now, so you're stuck with me until then."
"Damn it!" Nyx cursed. "Can't they take your fat ass any sooner!? I'll even pay them!"
Saya giggled mischievously. "I'm afraid not, Sister Nyx. But while I'm here, why don't you introduce me to that popular younger brother of yours? I've been dying to meet him~"

Nyx's face darkened to the point that even an abyss wasn't as dark. "You've been dying, so I'll speed up the process."
OOOM!
Even with the presence of aura-restricting formations, the killing intent radiating from Nyx's voluptuous figure was great enough to alert her father and Duke Willow. She instantly received a mental transmission ordering her to calm down, to which she very unwillingly complied.
"Sorry about her, Lady Willow," Count Falazar said with an awkward smile. "She only gets like that when her brother is mentioned. I've yet to find a solution to this frequent occurrence, but I'm constantly searching."
"Which brother?" asked Duke Willow. "Knox Falazar?"
Count Falazar nodded.
"I see…" Duke Willow muttered. "So that means the two supreme geniuses of your family are very close? With your eldest daughter recently having made a breakthrough into the Late Soul Formation Realm, I doubt many would dare mess with Knox with her at his side."
Count Falazar thought back on all the interactions he had witnessed between his eldest son and eldest daughter. His smile turned crooked as he nodded in an extremely unconvincing way. "Yes, you could say that they're close."
"That surely spells nothing but great prosperity for your family," Duke Willow mused. "After all, with no conflict among the best of your younger generation, inheritance disputes become a thing of the past. I'm a little envious of this harmony."
Count Falazar softly laughed. "Surely you jest, Lady Willow. With the future prospects of your eldest daughter, no one in the Elemental Nations is worthy of your envy. Though I do wonder just how high that Saya girl will ascend."
Duke Willow hid her pride for her eldest daughter well. "If she can become even half the genius that your eldest son is, I can pass over into the afterlife happy."
"He's still developing, but I appreciate the kind words of Lady Willow, haha."
The two Half-step Soul Transformation Realm experts wore faces almost as fake as the words that left their mouths. Neither would openly admit that their heir was better, but they sure as hell felt it.
However, the silence was quickly broken when Count Falazar moved his King piece and called, "Checkmate."
