Awakened: SSS Ranked Soul king-Chapter 115: Red Knight, Sir Gillian.
"1 hour, that's record time" Guilliman smirked standing before a large door in the middle of that castle.
Clearing the sentinels of the castle was a very difficult task that would most times take Guilliman half a day to do. But with his increase in strength, he had been able to do the same in just one hour.
The difference between level 7 and level 8 was like that of a large gourge. It was had to cross.
"Maximum effort!!" Guilliman, taking in a huge breath of air, pushed open the doors entering a room right in front of him.
As soon as he did, a shiloutte came into view. It was an Amoured knight painted red with a dark glow in its eyes. It stood at around 7ft tall in a wide room with plain brick walls and an overhead cage. It stared down at Guilliman with disdain.
Every single time he had made his way up these godforsaken floor, he had always at some point met this dreadful fucker. And every time they met, he would be sent out of the castle without question.
He had crossed deaths edge so many times when facing it to the point where he decided to stop all together. It was a wake up call that he needed to become strong.
"Hmp!! Are you ready to dance?" Guilliman sneered descending into a fighting position.
He was no longer as weak as before, he had a fighting chance at killing this thing.
Taking one step forward Guiliman rushed the red knight swinging the dagger in his hand aiming directly for the openings in the amour plates.
The Red knight was quick to act though as he raised his sword blocking Guillimans sword while taking the full brunt of his shield bash.
The force from Guillimans charge in normal circumstances was able to collapse a concrete wall quite easily. This was the strength of a level 8 Slayer after all.
The problem was that…..the thing he was attacking right now was as releasing energy that radiated any energy far more than his own.
-boom!!
The Red knight kicked Guilliman square in his stomach sending him back before tossing his sword into the air.
Mid air, he grabbed it and with a big step towards he sent his sword barreling towards Guillimans neck aiming to defeat him in one fell swoop.
However, the Guilliman now was different surely much more dangerous than before.
He didn't even dodge, simply raising his shield up and taking the full brunt of the attack descending.
"Eat me!!" Guilliman barked sending slashes at the red knight as he let the sword slide from his shield while he attempted to weaken his stomach guard.
In a battle of pure strength, he was at the mercy of the red knight, but he was faster, than him. He could cut him where he wasn't looking and be gone before he looked back.
That was a good strategy.
Or so he thought,
The moment Guiliman finished his glide and appeared behind the Red Kningt, he felt a presence behind him radiating with killing intent.
The Red knight had disappeared from sight and appeared behind him in a split second.
"Fuck!!" Guilliman quickly turned using his shield to block as he was sent flying once again, but this time he went directly into a wall.
'Not only is it strong, it's also fast?!!' Guilliman felt annoyed.
He didn't like this one bit, after hunting so many beasts and reaching level 8 he still couldn't kill this thing? That…didn't sit well with him.
"Kill!!" The Red knight appeared beside Guilliman and raised his sword once again.
But this time, Guilliman didn't look scared nor did he brace himself. Instead, the look in his eyes were filled with killing intent.
All of a sudden, a giant hand appeared from along the wall and smacked the red knight across the chest sending him flying.
Complete weightlessness, the Red knight felt no pain other than that of being completely overpowered.
-boom
It crashed into a wall, where it struggled to get itself, however before it knew it Guilliman was towering over it holding his crushed side.
He knew better than to leave any of these things time to recover, they felt no pain, no anquish, once they stood up they were ready to go again:
That was why it was best to strike the iron when it's hot.
"Die"
Guilliman sent his dagger through the eye hole of the amour Causing it to immediately shatter into multiple pieces.
For most people, this would be enough, killing a sentinel was a much harder process which involved breaking through its defenses and ultimately breaking the orbital core that brought the whole thing together.
For Guilliman, it was quite different.
The things piloting these sentinels were fragmented souls. Souls of the human slayers that had fought here those many years.
Somehow, the ravens lord was able to preserve the fighting parts of the innate spirits allowing them to fight against challengers autonomously.
As the soul king, he could easily kill them by striking at their souls, but the revelation also confirmed two things for him. One was the powerful soul signature he felt inside the keep while they were still making their way here.
It was definitely the ravens lord, either himself or his soul.
The second thing….well was a bit more hard to believe. It was that the ravens lord might be a shaman.
Yes, it was hard to believe, all the shamans were dead, their legacy gone with their homeland. But that didn't mean they were completely wiped out.
Shaman's studied the soul, anyone could do that in all honesty. They would not be able to reach the collective level of the shaman race, but none the less they could learn.
This level of understanding though, could only come from a true genius.
"No wonder he's running away" Guilliman smirked.
Yes!! Though it sounded funny, the ravens lord was indeed running away from Guilliman. Sending him to the dungeons, having him face this harrowing thing. It was one thing after the other, surely the rest weren't facing what he was facing.
Just as Guilliman felt the creeps seeing that massive soul signature in the castle, was the same way the ravens lord felt seeing him.
This was simply because dispite how powerful he was, he would be easily be enslaved by Guilliman if they ever came at loggerheads.
"Oh wait, did I receive an echo?" As Guilliman mused on the situation something at the back of his mind came forward causing him to raise his eye brow.
He had killed countless sentinel and had not received even one echo, what did receiving one from this kill mean?
[You have slain, Sir Gillian, The Red knight of ravenskeep]
[Human echo found: Boots on the ground]
[description: The king of souls killed the dreadful guard from long ago silencing his steps from the world and taking his boots. With this he can walk the world in the place of the dreadful guard.]
[effect: the sound of the users movements can be dropped to zero completely removing his presence. Also gives speed boost]
"Hm? Human echoe…thats new" Guilliman muttered then activated the echo.
All of a sudden, a pair of iron boots wrapped around his legs, they were separated into sections looking like blinds. One would expect such as extravagant looking pair of boots to make noise, but no matter how hard he hit the floor nothing sounded.
Though he couldn't quite tell the rank, but from the red energy it emmited he could conclude it was capped at red so mythic?
He wasn't sure.
"This is good" Guilliman smiled and proceeded to the next room.
30 minutes later.
"Shit head!!" Guilliman cursed as his body was flung into a crowd of people standing outside the castle entrance.
"Ahh, poor fellow got booted out"
"Hm? Didn't he just enter? Booted in 10 seconds is wild"
"Ehhh, what did you expect he's a nobody"
Slowly getting up with an annoyed expression on his face, Guilliman dismissed his amour. And looked at the whispering voices with a threatening gaze.
He was angry.
He had just overcame that annoying red knight and not even 3 rooms later he was faced with something not only similar but extremely big.
Not only was it annoying, it was down right painful. However, after seeing the gazes of those around pan away in awkwardness, Guilliman sighed.
He had at least killed that fucker, he really hoped he wouldn't spawn again. But even if he did, it was but a matter of brute strength.
"I hear sir Logan is at the top floor"
"Hm, sure, but so is Robin Hood and Naga"
A few of the slayers in the crowd commented, musing on who was winning the competition. To them it was who lasted the longest.

"So what? The three clans are strong and all, but didn't you hear that the Blacksteel are back??!" All of a sudden another group of slayers spoke looking down the the previous group in disdain.
Could they even compare the scum of the three clans with the Blacksteel family? Where was the logic there?
