Awakened: SSS Ranked Soul king-Chapter 117: Untitled
The type of material used for amour and the ones used to me weapons are very different. No matter how much to condense plates of amour, it can never be used as a weapon" Bartholds giant voice resounded as he towering over the figure of Guilliman.

Right now Guilliman was shirtless, revealing his chiseled body as the sparks of light shone through his sweaty body causing him to glow .
"If not for that greatsword, we'd be having a different conversation" Barthold smiled, looking at the state Guillimans body was in.
This wasn't the first time he had seen this kid shirtless, but now it felt like he was looking at a completely different individual. His body looked as fleshed out as his.
'I'm kind of jealous to be honest, I have to get up to that castle like tomorrow" Barthold muttered.
Guilliman and him were close so of course he had told him about the benefits of the castle. He didn't go into much detail of course, only stating that killing the sentinels in the castle could boost one's innate potential.
This was quite a hard feat to achieve in real life so he took it rather seriously, hence his haste to build up his new set of amour and face the castles challenge.
"You seem to be much better at this than the regular layman"
Seeing the fluidity of guilliman strikes on the anvil, barthold couldn't help but muse outloud drawing his attention.
These strikes although skewed and without technique were apt and efficient. For someone who claims to have never forged before he was pretty good at it.
"Ehhn I'm a quick study" guilliman smiled a bead of sweat rolled down his forehead as he wiped it with the hammer hand, showing a firm grip of his strength.
Actually, this wasn't his first time watching people forge. Normally he would watch it in passing, but he picked an interest when he saw the old devil's apprentices forging.
That was his first time truly studying it, but that was not really enough hence him asking barthold to teach him.
"Ahh, I hope so…." Barthold mused rubbing his chin. The pace guilliman was going he was tempted to teach him one of their families secret forging method.
Tempted being the key word since actually doing so would probably get him and guilliman killed.
But just maybe….
However, as he was about to complete his line of thought, the sound of hammer strikes abruptly stopped as guilliman eyes turned to bartholds in a haste.
"There's trouble we should head back"
Picking up the red hot throwing knife with a clip Guilliman placed it into a bowl of water.
Inside the main house, Victoria and Thane could be seen seated around a black and white game board with black and white stone sprawled over the table.
It looked very much like a casual scene, with Jeime looming over thanes shoulder directing him what move to make next in the game before them.
Right now, Victoria was winning and as the reigning champion he had the duty to support the underdog who in this case was thane.
"Why do you think he is here?" All of a sudden jemie asked with whispers. Thane seemed to be in trouble with the other members of the blacksteel family, aside from viper and one other the rest didn't give a glance.
But that alone wasn't enough for something like this.
Right now, there was an invisible specter slowly looming around the house looking for a perfect entry point to kill Thane.
That was Vincent.
They pulled out their big guns without second thoughts, if not for guillmans soul beast flea noticing his strange signature none of them would have noticed his arrival.
"I'm not sure, probably to settle his grudge with guilliman?" Victoria mocked a crooked smile on her face.
If it was only him, that would make sense, but on the outer perimeters, they could already sense arrows pointed at the house.
If Vincent failed to kill his target these guys would do the job.
"Yeah right, then why are they dragging us into that shorties mess?" Jemie seemed to lash out in a rather playful manner.
Thane didn't like drawing his friends into his mess, so at the first sign of danger he tried to leave. However, Victoria insisted that he stayed, citing that guilliman was already on his way.
They had formed a perimeter around the house, but unknown to them, guilliman was barthold were still outside that perimeter and were currently stalking them.
"We are ready to go young mistress" Hamdel suddenly appeared from the room outside, with Morgan standing right beside him.
The three clans were really ballsy to come here looking for a life, did they not believe in the laws of equivalent exchange?
'Guilliman are you in position?' Victoria sent out a mental message through guilimans soul link.
'Yes princess' guillimans voice sounded ghostly as if he was inside the void of space speaking to her.
"Kill those bastards then!!" she barked rather loudly causing Vincent who was one step in the room to tense up.
Several buildings away, the sound of an explosion erupted followed by the screams of several men camped inside of the building.
The figure of a massive bear with glistening fur that shone through the dark sky could be seen from a mile away mauling the building breaking it into countless pieces.
Meanwhile,
As soon as the building erupted, Vincent sprang into action as he realised that his cover had been blown by that good for nothing slave boy.
They had specifically waited for him to have left the place so they could take action freely and without interruption..but guilliman was just too cautious.
However, he couldn't stop now. Guilliman still wasn't in the building so he could still peirce the heart of thane and disappear without ever getting noticed.
Unfortunately for him he had picked the wrong place and the wrong people to mess with . The first thing he felt was a change in temperature as his body went up by several degrees in an instant.
His inner body felt disorganised in the moment. The brief change caused him to lose focus and become tangible.
Big mistake
In the next second a slash came down from the air cutting his arm and causing a gush of blood to spill out.
"Gotcha!!" Thane sneered looking at empty space infront of him with a puddle of blood on the floor.
After fighting Vincent several times, guilliman was able to pinpoint a weakness of this harrowing foe of theirs and promptly let Victoria and the rest know.
Vincent could become invisible and intangible but his blood could not do the same.
All one needed to do was wound a part of his body identify which part that is and go completely mad slashing at him.
This was a feat he believed Victoria could accomplish with some effort. That was until he found out what thanes aspect was.
Eternal bleed.
Once he cut an opponent, he could cause the opponent either beast or man to bleed continuously until a healer worked on him.
The aspect was a bit complex though, for example healing potions didn't work, only the spell of a true healer could stop the bleed caused by thane. Plus if the healer was weaker than him….then it wouldn't heal.
That meant that Vincent would need to find a healer at level 10 to fix his arm or else he would bleed to death.
Forget the fact that finding such a person in this shelter was hard. But one that was willing to touch a case of assassination of a blacksteel? Impossible!!
Thane had signed his death warrant.
"Fuck!!" Vincent cursed then without a second thought, ripped off a part of his invisible clothing and wrapped it around his arm.
It caused the gash to disappear but not to vanish. Still blood was dripping down his arm.
"Run!" The first thing that came to mind was that, as he pushed himself to the limit and exited the door in a rush.
"What? You think it's that easy?" Thane barked insanity in his eyes. He followed Vincent immediately tracing the bloodied arm dripping where ever he went.
He wasn't the only one chasing someone though, Victoria's figure too could be seen chasing the myriad shadows of the Nu.
That night, they would see blood no matter the consequences.
The ruckus of course spread throughout the shelter, with various slayer groups walking up to explosions of light and screams of pain.
The worst thing was that it was human cries.
"What's going on?"
"Did monsters breach the fog"
"No that can't be, what is the blacksteel family doing about this?"
A myriad of talks and complaints echoed throughout the city as the slayers moved forward to investigate.
What they found out though was enough to send them into a feat of rage.
Someone was trying to assassinate the beloved thane blacksteel??!! What gall!!
