The three clans had established their key bases of operation around the shelter. Some in luxurious houses others In ordinary outposts.

However they all had one thing in common.

Barracks.

They all had one barracks or the other where they trained the troops according to the schematics of the blacksteel family. After the journey to the mountains, they had compiled methods to fight and kill the myriad monsters around the hallowed beast.

They still needed to fight their way into its lair killing off all its minions until finally facing the abomination with full force..this need a troop of extremely efficient fighters.

Hence the need to barracks.

"Hmm," as thane and the cohort walked through the barracks they obsevered the elite troops of the Aaron clan practicing fighting methods and strategies.

Soon, they came to a halt infront of an open pavilion that stretched outwards into the field. There two figures could be seen seated on chairs with booze infront of them.

"Hm" while the two sat nonchalantly a shadow appeared looming over them in a matter of a few seconds.

Robin raised his head and smiled at Thane a sheepish look on his face.

"Welcome sir Thane, its a pleasure to have you over" Robin smiled and with a snap of his fingers a bunch of chairs were brought into the pavilion by several individuals.

"Please have your seats" Robin seemed savy in the art of entertainment as decorations and food was placed before thane and his friends in a matter of seconds.

Although the matter of their assassination attempt was still under debate, he saw it fit to make sure no misunderstandings were allowed between them.

After all, if thane survived the gate the reparations would be wild when new got out.

-whom!!

-whoomm!!

-whom!!

Just as they sat down a group of archers arrived next to the pavilion and nocked their arrows facing a pile of rocks not too far away.

A second later they opened fire destroying the rock formations periodically, shattering them bit by bit.

"The weapons and tactics in this shelter are a marvel dont you think?" Robins voice sounded as he called their attention to himself.

Ravenswood shelter was an old superpower from centuries ago. Its developments and research were lost to the alliance so rediscovering them was a wonderful experience.

This crowd arching…if they had it when siegeing the fog things would have been much more effective.

"Yes, they are a really dangerous marvel brother Robin" Victoria's voice sounded a tinge of annoyance in them..

What was this display if not one of intimidation? They came here because they had a previous arrangement with Aaron's but not only did they invite them to a barracks, they were also running such drills infront of them?

She had worked with both Mason and Robin before, she knew how they thought. This was clearly intentionally done to belittle them.

"Thank you lady Silverstien, this will be of great help when we face against the hallowed beast and its hoard" Robin smiled starkly. What was she expecting him to do? She had just brought with her three slayers capped at red to meet him.

He had to at least show that they have the ability to protect themselves no?

"Where the kid? Guilliman" all of a sudden, the older carlson asked looking at jemie directly.

He had spent some time with him, Mason and guilliman. And although most of it was filled with deceit, he was still inclined to see them once again.

"Guiliman? Well he spends most of his days in the castle, you see he's quite unlucky and keeps getting a bad hand" Jemie mocked in a rather playful tone, indicating that guilliman was just wasting his time since he was too unlucky to actually get the inheritance.

"Ahh, that place is quite annoying" Carlson smiled.

There was no one here that hadn't tried to climb that castle, all of them had failed considerablely to the point where it was embarrassing.

They determined that the castle had 6 sections, the ground floor, the first, second, third up to the sixth floor. Without fail no one in the city had made it past the third flaw.

That included those capped at red.

Of course they couldn't be too sure since most people didn't divulge how far up they had gotten. But guesses and conjectures could be made.

"I wish you all good luck" carlson said with a smile as if indicating that he had given up. The castle was just too tiring for an old man like himself.

"Thank you" jemie smiled turning back to Robin who seemed to be angrily looking at carlson for that statement.

"Anyway, we have considered your proposal from before….however we couldn't come to a conclusion since we dont really know your plans" Robin looked to Mason first before diverting his gaze to Victoria.

He didn't want to look at Thane directly after the whole debacle of trying to kill him. Victoria was more his speed.

"What do you really want us to do for you and what will it lead to" Robin landed still firmly looking at Victoria.

"Is there a reason you're not looking at me Robin? Don't tell me it's Shame I see? You attacked your sword master after all" suddenly the young man with black hair beside thane spoke up looking down at Robin with disdain.

Apart from viper, he was the second closest person to Thane in the blacksteel family. They had grown up together, he was even acquainted with Victoria from those gap years as such he was extremely trusted..with alot.

"Sigh, don't attack me personally senior vulcan, it's just business" Robin responded quite calmly.

There was a reason so many people liked thane. Aside from his charismatic attitude, he was also a very compassionate and kind person.

When they were younger, Thane here had taught Robin how to use the sword. The Aaron family training didn't encompass sword training for lesser talents like himself. But Thane helped out.

He thought him how to effectively defend himself. Unfortunately now they were at loggerheads.
