Awakened: SSS Ranked Soul king-Chapter 57: Wayfarer Beast
The next day, the other members of the cohort trooped back into the Silverstein household after solving all the things holding them back.
They didn’t know how long they would be in the gate or even if they would be able to come back from their dreadful expedition. They had to get closure on everything they had pending.
Later that day, they all got together and headed into the market to get supplies and with the help of Guilliman who graciously introduced them to the inscribers in the unique workshop they were able to get some cosumalized weapons and tool.
Time slow flowed and soon it was time for their departure.
…
"Guilliman Nalidir" at the very edge of the shelter, next to several highly enforced fences and rallies, Victoria and her cohort could be seen standing before a guard.
This was the randevous point was a predetermined one by the lord of Blacksteel, it was the place where they would all join hands to transverse the unknown outside the shelter.
"Ohh, you’re the slum rat?" The guard raised his eyebrow, guilliman was quite popular amongst the slayers of the outskirts.
The nobody that beat the blackberry young master in a duel, it wasn’t the only case like that, but his was more inspiring with adequate flare.
"That is me" Guilliman nodded, he wouldn’t take offense over something that was clearly right, he was a slum rat in his old world and a slum ray here in this one.
What was the difference?
"Hahaha, nice to see you man, you guys can go in" smiling widely, the guard dragged guilliman into the main compound surrounded by heavily fortified gates.
’These fortifications’ as the moved deeper into the area, Guilliman couldn’t help but feel a sense of dread. All these fortifications, the bows on the walls, to all the men armed to the teeth.
They were all to keep monsters from the outsider world out.
Most of the forest was surrounded by the forests which had been tamed to the largest extend. But behind the entire shelter was a different story.
The vast expanse behind the shelter was the most dangerous unfettered area stretching into the unknown, monster they couldn’t even fathom proweled this area.
"Hmm, one thousand slayers are really going to cross this place? There are going to be a lot of deaths" Guilliman commented. There was no way they wouldn’t be attacked on the way to the Gate, this was a fact.
One thousand human’s walking through the strip looked more like a delicious meal than a threat.
"I wouldn’t be so sure" Victoria smiled and pointed towards a young man with her head.
Far in the distance surrounded by several individuals, a young man with green hair falling from his head could be seen. Just by looking at him one could conclude this he was outstanding!!
The breathtaking amour, the fitness, and the scars on his face, it gave off a feeling resembling that of a knight forged in countless battles.
This was Doran Blacksteel, the 3rd most senior child of the Blacksteel family and an expert much stronger than they were.
However, he wasn’t the most impressive thing in that direct, no absolutely not.
Right beside him was a gigantic Wolf with furry that seemed to be partially metallic and partially soft, it carried and air of brutality and power than sent shivers down the spine of all who looked at it.
This was not a beast Guilliman had ever set eyes on, it was far beyond even the Grand Tortie they had fought not so long ago, vastly stronger that it.
"Wayfarer…" Guilliman muttered.
To transverse the unknown land that was between Shelters with full security from the dangers that existed outside the walls, one needed a very special type of excort.

Either a very strong human like he Blacksteel lord or a wayfarer beast.
These monsters were so ferocious that they scared everything from humans to the hoards of sacred beasts. As for those who tried to challage it, they would become nothing but food to feed its insatiable appetite.
In the entire shelter they could only be at most 3 of these kinds of beasts and in fact they were one of the reasons they shelter wasn’t being constantly attacked by the unknown.
"Impressive huh"
As they walked towards the crowd of a thousand slayers, a shiloutte rode forward towards them on horseback. He looked battle ready.
"Thane, are you allowed to be here?" Victoria asked a bitter look on her face.
This thane was bringing too much attention towards them, the blacksteel family had their own convoy at the from of the caravan but here he was trying to tag along with them.
"What? Why can’t I be here? This is the safest place in this caravan is it not?" Thane smiled and laughed loudly, his heroic aura permeating through the air and drawing more attention towards them.
"Heheh, you’re too much" Victoria shook her head, it seemed like they wouldn’t be able to get rid of him anytime soon.
Soon, the Blacksteel lord appeared before the caravan of slayers and spoke to them with words of encouragement.
"Today, you shall venture into one of the hardest trials of your lives….make no mistake you will be in danger….but also you will be honed,…..what goes in is never what comes out. The Gate might break you….or make you stronger. I look forward to those the gate will make stronger"
It was a king and heart boiling speech that could only be delivered by someone of the stature of the lord of the entire shelter, his words sparked a flame in the hearts of everyone here.
Who didn’t want to become strong? Who didn’t want to be viewed as a hero? They all wanted that and much more.
To some the Gate was an opportunity to become stronger, to some it was a place where they would find glory, some wanted money, but that was the thing.
There was no one entering this gate unwilling, they all set out with one goal in mind.
To clear this Godforsaken Gate
