Awakened: SSS Ranked Soul king-Chapter 63: Class Aspects
"Where are they going to?" Jemie asked watching the various noble clans separate into groups heading towards the forest.
The plan according to what was set up by the Blacksteels was that they would create a fort around the gate. From that fort they would be able to go out and hunt beasts in the day and sleep peacefully at night.
This was a pretty solid plan, and it cared a lot about the ordinary. Of course, this completely shattered when the blacksteels left.
"I think they are trying to see who can take Ravenskeep first" Guilliman muttered a frown slowly appeared on his face.
It made sense, anyone that could control the broken shelter would not only have a much more peaceful time during this whole escapade, they would also cementer their position as lords.
They could even charger fees for entering the fortress.
"You’re right, that seems to be the case" Hamdel spoke, the old man was not so talkertive so his words carried a lot of weight.
"Thane was right, keeping these guys at arms length is the best thing we can do as regards to them" Hamdel continued.
He could already see several independent Slayers becoming buddy buddy with the men of the blackberry and Aron families. They had no idea they were about to be plunged into a very dangerous operation based on ego.
"Let’s follow behind valor" Victoria chimed in an awkward smile appeared on her face.
She was a daredevil yes, but she wasn’t stupid nor suicidal. She knew the benefits of Ravenskeep but wouldn’t dare try to take the place with just them.
The best they could do now was slowly approach the place using clan valor as a sort of vanguard. They could leave off their kills and attack stranglers, after finally reaching the fortress then they could relax and plan on what would happen in the next few months.
Make no mistake, they would be here for at least that long.
"Sound great, let’s do that" guilliman nodded, he was thinking the exact same thing so hearing Victoria speak he blurted our approvenly causing the atmosphere to quite down.
That was akward.
"Let’s get going" Victoria smiled shaking her head at Guilliman outburst with a joking smile, this kid was just too weird.
Grouping together tightly, they too descended from the hill and followed the footsteps of the clan valor making a beeline to the west of the forest surrounding the fortress.
The road was pretty smooth, but it was a bit long taking them around a few hours to reach the the first harrowing tree of the forest.
By then the scorching sun had risen and was beaming at their skin with the utmost furiousity.
-gulp…gulp…gulp
Seated atop a strand wolf apparition, Guilliman gulped down a large portion of water From a metallic bottle, causing him to sweat outwardly but feel a cooling rush inwardly.
The few beasts on the road to the forests edge had been slaughtered by the valor Slayers, however, the they did nothing about the scorching heat so he had to stay hydrated.
"Here, have some" Guilliman pushed the bottle into the hands of Barthold who was walking at the same height as him atop the enlarged direwolf.
"Ahh? Won’t it eat into your supplies?" Barthold asked with a raised eyebrow. They all had supplies of their own, each mostly sources with Silverstein money, but they were also their as they worked for it.
"Ehn? No this is an echo, it has an endless supply of water in it" Guilliman shook his head indicating that it didn’t affect him at all. Of course, his words stunned the few that heard them, but they didn’t comment.
The fact that he was even willing to share this echo was good enough, asking questions would just make it weird.

"Okay thanks" Barthold grabbed the metallic bottle and started drinking. He a body mass at least twice that of everyone in his cohort, staying hydrated was much more important to him than even food.
"Ahh, refreshing" Barthold smiled after taking in, to his satisfaction. It was a really refreshing bottle of water?
Seeing the big guy regain himself Barthold could only smile, he could remember when they first met, the signature on his sleeve, everything.
Barthold was a big softy, but he was also a softy with the weight of his decisions on his back, and they echoed back towards him whenever he fought or saw his brothers fighting.
"Uhh Guilliman? I’ve been meaning to ask for a while but what is that?" Barthold asked looking at the direwolf he sat on with a look of intrigue and confusion.
It had a blue furry hide dispite being a direwolf, it seemed extremely loyal to Guiliman and it would often appear out of nowhere to serve him.
For some reason he also felt like even though this Direwolf was alive, it was unreal, maybe like an illusion.
"Oh that? It’s part of my class aspect…I can summon him whenever I want to" he explained, he didn’t even realize when he started using ghost infront of these guys.
It really just happened in a flash, one day he wasn’t using it as he tried to keep it a secret and then next he was already using it.
He didn’t tell them exactly how it worked and they all seemed to just accept that he could do that without questioning him.
Besides, he knew what aspect and class every single one of them in the group had to a fault.
Barthold was a blood bound berserker, the class aspect of this allowed him to accumulate kinetic energy in his very blood and bones , making them stronger and more concentrated by the minute.
Then he could use that energy to either create constructs or down right release it in a burst of energy at once.
This was very versatile, much more so than the stone Titain class his family used, Guilliman couldn’t help but even wonder what gave them the gall to knock on his decision since it seemed much better than theirs.
