Jemie had the light swordsman class which came with a class aspect that allowed him to move instantaneously fast.

That simply meant that as long as there was nothing blocking him from point A to point B, he could appear anywhere he wanted with the use of his aspect.

They were a lot of aspects that based in speed, but his was especially brutal as it looked like an instant movement but also carried the force momentum of his movement from both points.

It basically increased his strength of attack by the distance he travels.

It was truly a terrifying aspect.

"Why are you looking at me? Want to fight?" Jemie noticed Guillimans gaze hovering in his direction and asked with dark contorted look on his face.

"Hmp!! Weirdo" Guilliman sneered then turned to Hamdel.

If anyone’s class stunned him more than anything, it would be hamdels. He was always of the opinion that this old man was but a healer, however he was shocked to find out this was not the case.

Instead, he was a word caster.

This classes aspect allowed him to do something extremely similar to what inscribers did. But instead of writing words of power, he could speak them into existence.

It was far more complicated than that of course, but according to Victoria, he was the only one she had met with an ability similar to this. Unfortunately he was old, if not in a couple decades he would shine like a rising star.

Speaking for Victoria,

She was the only person who’s class aspect was a complete blank, according to her she was a destructive front guards and that was all she said.

No class or class aspect to speak of, though he had a clue. Not too long again, he had witnessed the use of lightening and flame…maybe that was it?

"We’ve reached the edge, pull out your echoes or whatever" Victoria commanded her voice resounding.

From this distance she could already smell blood.

The valor troops had already started fighting something, or maybe they killed it, or it them.

They wouldn’t know unless they went straight into the forest.

Summoning a myriad of weapons and echoes, the cohort slowly entered the forest looking around at the mangled and dark woods stretching far into god knows where.

"These guys are professionals" Guilliman muttered as he observed several butchered beasts with their remains all over the ground.

Precise cuts slashed and stabs, each taking a life with absolute accuracy.

Even he would have a hard time killing like this, this clan valor was skilled in the art of murder. And their class was well tuned for it.

"I see why thane was worried" Hamdel smiled bitterly, he wasn’t a resident of the Blacksteel shelter, he had come here with Victoria and her father around a year ago so he didn’t know much about the reputation of the clan valor.

However watching their work, he could understand why these people were considered threats.

"Good call huh?" Unlike the rest who were stunned by the slaughter, Victoria smiled confidently and with a hint of pride.

She was really good at spotting talents, so from a distance she could already tell that this clan valor would be able to brave this forest unimpeded, she was right to choose to follow behind them.

"We’ll see" Guilliman looked into the depths of the forest at the countless corpses littered.

Three days later,

"Guilimannnn!!!" A voice resounded inside the forest as Barthold stepped back steadily with his shield raised x

Around him were five lizard creatures with massive claws looming over with bloodlust and hunger in their eyes.

The forest was dangerous, more so than clawwood forest, even with the Valors clearing a path infront of them, beasts were constantly migrating from one part of the forest to another.

So they would still occasionally meet some stranglers around the path of slaughter left behind by the valor clansmen.

"Now!!" Guilliman muttered standing atop a tree not too far away, as he did so around 15 ghostly apparitions to appear around him.

They were shaped like swords, with fins and tails on their back.

The apparitions swigged their fins and shot out with full force peircing through the heads of two of the lizards in one fell swoop.

Back when he went for the whitehead swordfish king, Guilliman had the idea of taking in some of the king’s mutant minions and turning them into his soldiers.

They proved to be very effective in dealing instant blows, all he needed to do was crowd enough of them in a single strike.

Just as two of the lizard creatures fell, Jemie appeared next to one and slashed down at its lean neck severing it cleanly.

-boom

Its head fell to the ground and Jemie stepped on it with pride.

Killing sacred beasts had become a walk in the park of f late, he couldn’t even remember the last time he truly struggled against one.

As Jemie mused the other two fell to Victorias blade.

"We should keep up" not even flinching from the successful kills, Victoria said with worry. The number of stragglers being left behind or migrating into this path had been increasing daily.

Five sacred beasts appearing on their path was definitely a bad sign, one they had to take seriously.

"I really hope it’s not what I’m thinking" Guilliman smacked his lips before rising, and following behind the rest of the group.

They had been walking this forest for days, from hill they arrived from it looked like a small distance, only after braving the grounds on food did they realize that this was going to be harder than they thought.

Guiliman had used the rabbit braces to boost himself up into the sky and was shocked to find that they hadn’t even gone more than 10 percent of the required distance to reach the keep.

Going back was not even an option anymore as it seemed like the forest was replenishing its stock of monsters covering up the path behind them.

They had no choice than to go forward
