Became a Demon with Pregnancy System-Chapter 94: Unexpected Mentor
He had completely ruined her reputation on her first day.
"Luke..." her voice cracked.
Luke, completely oblivious, flashed her a bright smile.
"Wait here," he said. "I’ll be back soon."
Before she could protest, he strode into the teaching office, leaving her alone on the stone lion.
It was only a few minutes before Luke returned.
But when he did—
He found someone else had already helped Hazel down.
A familiar figure—the blonde wavy-haired woman who had been injured by the Skywing Wolf cub earlier.
"It’s YOU?!"
The blonde wavy-haired woman’s face turned red with fury.
"You little bastard! You didn’t leave Arcadia City?! You came to the academy to harass me?!"
Luke blinked.
"...Who are you again?"
Her expression darkened.
"You arrogant brat!"
"You think you’re untouchable just because you have a General-level beast?! Let me tell you, Arcadia Academy has plenty of mages who can crush you!"
Luke sighed.
"Are you done?"
"You—!"
Before she could finish, Luke casually opened a teleportation portal.
The blonde woman barely had time to react before she was suddenly sucked inside—
Straight into the headmaster’s office.
Hazel watched in stunned silence.
A teleportation spell?
That required high-level mastery.
Then she remembered—
Just moments ago, he had shown his official mentor card.
Luke was telling the truth the whole time.
"Y-You’re really a mentor..." she whispered.
Luke grinned.
"I’ve been saying that from the start."
"Come on," he said.
Hazel hesitated.
"Come where...?"
"To dinner. Mentor’s orders—you can’t refuse."
Hazel groaned, covering her face.
This was going to be a very long day.
"Do you have some kind of grudge with Professor Perola?"
Hazel Ross had held back her curiosity for a while, but in the end, she couldn’t help but ask.
She had seen Professor Perola’s reaction earlier when she encountered Luke. It was far too extreme for a mere misunderstanding.
As the mentor of the White Magic Academy’s healing department, Professor Perola was well known for her gentle and patient personality.
Yet, today, she had looked at Luke as if she had seen her mortal enemy.
Luke didn’t even hesitate before throwing all the blame onto the little Skywing Wolf cub dozing on his shoulder.
"It’s none of my business," he said, pointing at the cub with a deadpan expression. "This little guy is the real culprit."
Hazel glanced at the small, fluffy wolf cub, its ears twitching lightly as it slept soundly.
Her first instinct was not to believe it.
How could such a tiny, adorable creature possibly anger a teacher so much?
However, she had already learned her lesson—Luke was not someone to be judged at face value.
So, she simply sighed and didn’t argue further.
After their meal, Hazel assumed Luke would finally leave her alone.
She was wrong.
Instead, he dragged her around Arcadia Academy, forcing her to accompany him as he explored the campus.
At first, she was frustrated—who kidnaps a girl in a wheelchair just to go sightseeing?!
But as time went on, she found herself surprisingly entertained.
Despite his shameless nature, Luke was... oddly fun to be around.
He had an arrogant yet carefree attitude, never taking anything too seriously.
By the end of the day, Hazel had begrudgingly promoted his title from "Rogue Mentor" to "Little Hooligan Mentor".
And before she knew it, night had fallen.
"Alright, time for you to go home," Luke declared, stopping in front of her dormitory.
Hazel felt relieved—the dormitory doors would close soon. If he had delayed any longer, she would’ve been locked out.
But just as she was about to thank him—
A glowing portal appeared beside them.
Before she could react, Luke effortlessly lifted her again and teleported her straight inside the dormitory.
Hazel stared at him in shock.
"Wait... you could’ve done that from the start?!"
Luke just grinned.
"Of course. But where’s the fun in that?"
Hazel took a deep breath, resisting the urge to throw something at him.
"Good night, Hazel," he said with a smirk before vanishing through another teleportation portal.
She exhaled sharply, rubbing her temples.
"That arrogant, unreasonable...!"
"Ahhh! Hazel, you’re finally back!"
Before Hazel could process what had just happened, her roommate lunged at her, pulling her into a tight hug.
Hazel blinked in confusion.
"Xu Xia...? What’s wrong?"
Her roommate, Sophia Lane, looked at her with genuine panic.
"You were out all day with that guy!" Sophia said. "I thought you were in danger!"
Hazel tilted her head.
"What are you talking about?"
"You don’t know?!"
Sophia’s voice rose slightly.
"The guy you were with is a murderer who doesn’t even blink when cutting off people’s limbs!"
Hazel froze for a moment, then sighed.
"You mean Luke?" she asked.
"YES!" Sophia exclaimed.
"I even went to report him to the headmaster, but guess what?! The headmaster told me to stay out of it!"
Sophia looked frustrated, her hands clenched into fists.
Hazel, meanwhile, was starting to understand.
"Let me guess... you’re talking about Walter Murphy?"
Sophia nodded furiously.
"He cut off his hand! Right in front of everyone! So many students were scared they nearly wet themselves!"
Hazel’s eyes drifted toward the balcony, where a freshly washed pair of pink pants was drying.
Her lips twitched slightly.
So... her roommate was one of them.
"Listen," Hazel said with a sigh. "Luke isn’t a murderer. He’s actually a new mentor at Arcadia Academy."
Sophia froze mid-sentence, her expression shifting to one of pure disbelief.
"...What?"
"I said, he’s a mentor," Hazel repeated.
Sophia looked at her with deep suspicion.
"Are you sure you aren’t being brainwashed?!" she asked, narrowing her eyes.
Hazel rolled her eyes.
"You can check with the headmaster if you don’t believe me."
Sophia was silent for a long moment, processing the information.
Then, she suddenly gasped.
"Wait a second..."
She squinted at Hazel.
"You sound really familiar with him. Why do you know him so well?!"
Hazel instantly felt uneasy.
"W-What do you mean?" she asked.
