Chapter 362: Hello

In the principal’s office, a man sat across from the principal, his body nearly twice the principal’s size. His face was covered in a scruffy beard, his naturally bristling and bushy eyebrows paired with the muscles on his face only made him look even more intimidating.

This was none other than the master of the Fulmen household, and also the father of Thora and Thomas.

"Vermillion, I heard the school recently has an exceptional student."

Hearing that, the principal smiled, nodded, then added, "You came here to speak up for a child who’s already in the second year yet challenged a first-year student, and even lost?"

His words didn’t match his expression in the slightest. A vein on Mr. Fulmen’s forehead twitched, he furrowed his brows, and said coldly, "So it seems that boy has become your favorite student, hasn’t he?"

The principal waved his hand dismissively. "You know I’m not a biased person. Go ahead and try defeating Silvanus yourself. No one forbids a challenge, but losing and then coming here to complain afterward is truly disgraceful."

Upon hearing that, Mr. Fulmen almost laughed—whether out of anger or amusement was hard to tell. He said coldly, "So you don’t intend to protect your student. In that case, you’d better tell him to be careful when taking on missions. He shouldn’t run into anyone from the Fulmen family!"

The principal simply waved his hand again without saying anything.

That only made Mr. Fulmen even more irritated; his whole face turned red, and it seemed as though steam might burst out of his head at any moment.

They always say the loser has no right to speak. His two useless sons kept losing again and again.

He didn’t come here expecting to get anything—just to give Silvanus a warning and leave a message for Vermillion.

In the end, Mr. Fulmen could only huff coldly and leave, his footsteps heavy enough to sound as if he planned to stomp the entire office down.

Only when the room was empty did the principal allow a cold smile to appear as he muttered, "What a nuisance."

With that said, he stood up and headed toward the private room inside the office. It was time for lunch, and the little fox was probably already waiting eagerly for a chicken drumstick.

"Click..."

The door to the room opened, and the principal couldn’t help glancing toward the empty bed and the wide-open window.

In the end, he didn’t show any reaction and simply turned around to leave.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere underground had grown incredibly tense.

There wasn’t just one Sentinel down here.

The moment Silvanus noticed the three-star Sentinel, the five-star Sentinel had already detected their hiding spot due to the noise, and without hesitation, it lunged toward them.

At the same time, the three-star Sentinel’s form began to change. Its hands remained in their original position, but countless holes suddenly opened across its torso.

Right after that, countless smaller "arms" sprouted out, gathering into a jet-black mass. At their sharp tips, a blazing red light ignited—red beams shot everywhere, not even attempting to hide, as if openly declaring a death sentence upon those who dared trespass into this sacred ground.

Nana coughed from the dust, and Silvanus’s arm clamped tightly around her waist.

She raised both hands, and magic circles immediately appeared, forming a defensive barrier that enclosed all of them.

Moments later, deafening explosions echoed nonstop like rolling thunder.

Nana clenched her teeth, cold sweat dripping down her forehead as she growled, "I can’t hold this for long!"

Silvanus said nothing, his mind was racing. No matter what, he had to try.

Earlier, the ground above had opened into a gateway leading down here—who knew what the ground in this area might hold?

The instant the thought came, he acted. Wind surged around them like an accelerator, launching them straight toward the highest level of the structure.

The five-star Sentinel had been hovering near the edge and did not expect these humans to throw themselves right into danger.

It immediately turned, swinging the massive blade in its hand—each strike powerful enough to cleave the continent in two.

Even while carrying Nana and Mira, Silvanus didn’t slow down. He fled, dodging like a streak of light, and in no time reached the small doorway.

Seeing Silvanus preparing to toss her inside, Nana quickly spoke: "You go in there and find a way out. I’ll hold them off out here. Leave Mira with me—I can protect her."

Hearing that, Silvanus looked at Nana. He didn’t hesitate for even a moment before taking action. Now wasn’t the time for them to argue.

Nana let out a cold huff. She set Mira to the side, and the magic circle surrounding them transformed into a cylindrical barrier, spinning continuously as it wrapped around Mira. Nana herself shot straight outward.

"Runic Bloom!"

Magic circles bloomed around her, covering a stretch of sky above. Their center aimed directly at the two Sentinels, and in the next moment, a downpour of light arrows rained forth, each one carrying a violent explosion!

Silvanus had only just slipped into the tower-like structure when he felt shockwaves that seemed to shake the entire ground.

He quickly steadied himself and swept his gaze around.

The interior of the structure was completely different from the outside. From the outside, it looked like a chaotic cluster of buildings circling the tower, but the inside held an oddly ancient atmosphere.

Small houses sprouted along the tower’s inner wall like mushrooms. In the center lay a hub with countless doorways leading to different places, as well as a staircase spiraling up to the higher floors. From where he stood, Silvanus could see several other structures besides the mushroom-like houses.

And in the central area stood a faded signboard. On the table beneath it sat countless weapons of various kinds, as well as glowing gemstones and crystals that remained luminous despite the passage of time.

There was even a golden forge, like an undying emblem.

But Silvanus had no time to admire any of it.

He began quickly running his hands over the ground, searching, but it was pointless. There were no grooves, no channels, no special markings at all.

Just then, a long metallic sound echoed through the room. Silvanus felt something shift.

He looked up to see the sole table in the room suddenly light up with a circle formed from shimmering dust. Inside it flickered an eight-pointed star.

Moments later, the dust scattered, then gathered again—shaping itself into something new.

Hello.

The word appeared suddenly in the air.

Silvanus froze on the spot, staring in slight bewilderment. The gold light flickering in his eyes shimmered as though hypnotized. He lifted his hand and slowly walked toward the glowing word.
