Becoming a God Starts with Acting-Chapter 373: A Home with Young Children
The time spent in Lumina was truly peaceful. Silvanus only needed to attend classes, absorb knowledge like a madman, then hurry back at night to continue forging the Sentinel.
Even so, forging a Sentinel was extremely difficult. Nearly a month had passed, and all Silvanus had managed to make so far was only the frame of one of its legs.
However, that peace was eventually torn apart by an unimaginable event.
Silvanus yawned as he headed toward the bed, only to see Vivian sprawled out with her tail swaying and her round belly on full display, looking incredibly content.
Silvanus couldn’t help scratching her belly as he softly said, "Being a fox seems pretty nice... eat then sleep."
He wondered whether Vivian ever had worries in her life, but thinking again, she didn’t even have any of her own kind. Her only concern was probably whether she could eat a chicken drumstick today.
The thought amused him, and in the end, he hugged Vivian and climbed into bed. Vivian happily burrowed into his arms, letting out a soft sound as she rolled around.
Silvanus cracked one eye open to look at her, the corner of his mouth twitching.
Adorable.
In the middle of the night, Silvanus suddenly heard a noise. Still half-asleep and groggy, he opened his eyes and saw Vivian’s tiny silhouette perched on the windowsill.
There was still glass on the window, so Silvanus wasn’t worried about her falling.
Vivian tilted her head slightly, her large, fluffy tail swaying, her small head positioned directly in the center of the full moon.
So today was a full moon...
Silvanus had just thought that when the moon suddenly glowed with a gentle, silvery light.
He thought he was seeing things. Blinking and rubbing his eyes, he sat up — and at that moment, Vivian also turned to look at him.
Her body was glowing with a shimmering, mystical light, as if countless fireflies were rising from her.
Silvanus couldn’t help frowning as he stood up. "Vivian, what’s happening?"
Could it be that Vivian was awakening — evolving into a higher-tier beast or something?
Silvanus grew excited at the thought and stared at Vivian with anticipation.
The light surrounding her grew brighter and brighter until her entire form disappeared. And right after that... a pair of legs appeared.
A pair of legs?
Silvanus stared, horrified, as his little fox transformed into the shape of a human. The ears atop her head and the enormous tail behind her remained, and she wore only a single piece of pure white cloth draped around her body.
She blinked her eyes, and upon seeing Silvanus’s horrified expression, her body quickly shrank before she leaped straight toward him!
Silvanus’s eyes widened. He instantly raised his hands and caught Vivian’s small body, holding her out at arm’s length.
Vivian wriggled her limbs, her fox eyes filled with pure dissatisfaction.
But... this... this girl was clearly the same girl he had met at the Relics of the Hobbit!
Silvanus drew in a deep breath, trying to steady himself as quickly as possible.
He looked thoughtfully at the girl — now Vivian — and asked, "So that was you last time?"
Vivian nodded frantically, letting out meaningless sounds as her arms and legs flailed, as if she just wanted to continue hugging Silvanus to sleep.
Of course, that was impossible. Vivian, as an animal, was one thing, but Silvanus was human — boys and girls couldn’t sleep in the same bed.
He continued holding Vivian firmly, brows furrowed in thought, and said, "So... on a full moon you turn into a human, then return to your original form afterward?"
Vivian nodded again. Obviously, she understood what Silvanus was saying — she simply didn’t know how to speak.
Silvanus muttered, "Just what are you? Where is your home?"
He wondered if he had accidentally taken Vivian far away from her home — the land used as the selection grounds for Lumina’s entrance trials.
But at that moment, Vivian simply blinked her beautiful eyes at him, her gaze sparkling as if she was desperately trying to tell him something.
Silvanus opened his mouth, then finally whispered, "Is it... me? Your home... is me?"
Vivian’s hands clapped together continuously as if she were trying to applaud, her expression full of pure, innocent joy.
Silvanus pressed his lips together, remaining silent for a while before finally saying, "I’ll let you down, but you can’t run around, alright?"
Vivian’s ears drooped sadly at once, but she still nodded obediently.
Silvanus gently placed her on the bed, his expression deep in thought. Was Vivian a member of some undiscovered species?
She wasn’t stupid — the only issue was that she couldn’t speak.
Silvanus already had a plan for teaching a child, starting tomorrow.
But for now...
Silvanus patted Vivian’s head and softly said, "Go to sleep."
Then he picked up his pillow and walked out. The sofa in the living room was more than enough to be his new bed for the night.
Vivian stared blankly at the door closing in front of her. A moment later, her tail and ears puffed up at the same time, making her already-large tail look even bigger.
She lunged toward the door, scratching at it frantically with both hands, clearly refusing to be left alone.
Right then, the door suddenly opened again.
Vivian immediately brightened and threw herself at Silvanus’s leg, rubbing her face against him.
If she were in her small fox form, Silvanus would have melted at how adorable she was every time she did that.
But right now, Silvanus only felt... strange.
He said quietly, "Be quiet, or you won’t get any chicken drumsticks tomorrow."
Vivian: "..."
She stared at Silvanus in shock, her eyes filled with fierce accusation.
Silvanus remained cold and unmoved. After saying that, he closed the door and left.
Vivian covered her face, grumbling and sniffling in frustration, then decided to claw at the bedsheets. She should leave a few paw prints so Silvanus would regret everything tomorrow.
Or should she mark her territory instead?
Silvanus had no idea what terrifying thoughts Vivian was having. Even though the sofa was a little small, he still slept soundly.
As for Vivian, she clawed at the sheets for an hour, then finally fell asleep in exhaustion, waiting for the next morning when everything would return to normal.
Early next morning, Silvanus had an early class.
He slowly walked into the bedroom, not intending to wake Vivian.
But the moment the door opened, he froze. Vivian stood in front of the bed, holding a dick pointed toward it, and what she was about to do needed no explanation.
But... a dick? Silvanus looked at Vivian’s chest. It was unmistakably the chest of a girl, full and shapely, and her face was beautiful enough to draw countless admirers.
Clearly, she should be a girl. Everything about her said she was a girl.
Silvanus raised a hand and rubbed his forehead. He stepped forward and said coldly, "Vivian, what are you doing?"
Vivian instantly pulled her hand back and turned away, looking unbelievably innocent.
Silvanus paused for a moment, then finally asked, "So are you male or female?"
Vivian blinked, then, before Silvanus could react, she simply lifted her skirt.
Silvanus: "..."
Truly a wild creature.
But what shocked him even more was the fact that there was absolutely nothing there. Even the dick Vivian had just been holding had vanished.
Silvanus felt as if stars were spinning around his head.
He glanced at Vivian’s chest again. That was definitely a girl’s chest. No doubt about it.
A girl who could freely switch genders?
Silvanus held his head. He felt like he would be spending the entire day inside the Lore Tower.
He looked at Vivian and reminded her, "Stay home, and also, don’t pee like me. We’re not the same."
He recalled all the times Vivian had followed him into the bathroom and felt deep, deep regret.
