Billionaire's Pleasure-Chapter 123: Proposal Kiss
Trina’s POV
The party occurred the next week, and I was thrilled to be done with school. I helped Mom organize caterers, bartenders, and extra tables from the couch.
Despite being worried, my mother loved throwing parties. She loved being busy. Despite my desire for a smaller baby shower, she had one planned for me. I didn’t want it included in team or family activities. Intimate.
As soon as I could, I left to see Gerald, savoring his embrace. Despite not bothering me about moving in, he calmed me in an unstable world. I was frightened that he seemed content when I was there. Brain fog. I criticized the party because I lacked direction.
"Trina, enjoy the delicious food," Gerald said. I tapped his shoulder and kissed him for that. We managed these days, and he seemed happy.
I helped Mom with party decorations while awaiting its end. Then we could explain what happened. We’re James After that, I knew there would be a confrontation, so I attempted to avoid it.
I was worried.
I donned a purple dress and black flats for the party. It covered my stomach to my knees and had cap sleeves. I checked my reflection after applying eyeliner and mascara. I didn’t want the party’s bombshell effect because I’d fulfilled my aims without him. I wanted to look good because the cameras were filming and my kid deserved to see me before she was born. Then I’d grieve for the man I didn’t have because I was too afraid to love him.
Gerald hadn’t professed his love for me despite hints about me moving in and him wanting me in his life. I had nothing except affection for us. I wanted my daughter’s affection.
When the guests arrived, I warily down the stairs while faking a smile. I greeted the squad as they passed me on their way to the pub with their kids and wives. I told my family as they praised and hugged me.
Gerald’s sharp suit and pulled-back hair shocked me when he entered. He kissed my parents’ cheeks and shook my father’s hand before coming to me. Gerald said, "Looking wonderful as always," then kissed my cheek and entered. I was upset that I couldn’t follow, hold, or go with him. The notion of him being here with a date broke me as I watched him smile and talk to everyone.
I felt lucky to enjoy dinner with him. My father prayed over the food and started crying as he looked at the baby and me. After a year of stress and silence, I fought to control my emotions. I saw Gerald raise his drink and frown.
He’s so delighted! I wiped away tears that weren’t just for my dad. I wanted to shout that James was my child’s father and I loved him. Everyone should know.
Gerald stood up as I set my dish down. I watched him, wondering what he was doing. "I have something to say about a few things." He smiled at my dad.
"Coaching Liam’s team is an honor. The men are like my own children, but I’m stepping down and my assistant coach will take over. I’d rather do something else."
"Gerald?" My dad glared at him. "Is it about money?"
"No," When he stopped in front of my chair and kneeled, I gasped. "I love your daughter and her child," he said. "Because it’s my baby, I want to marry her and create a family."My father was the most strong in the room, and I started crying.
"Trina, what’s going on? Gerald’s daughter. What’s wrong?" We all saw Dad’s fury, and I trembled when I saw him.
"Dad, I’m 22 soon. He can consider me his wife and mother even if I’m young. Because I love him, we’ve had a hidden relationship for months but we didn’t know how to tell you." As I glanced at him, I dried my tears.
"Trina, I’ve wanted to tell you. I wanted to show everyone how much I love you." He faced my dad. "Sir, may I marry your daughter? I’ll treat her and our daughter like royalty. I’ll give her everything. I need her to live."
"Gerald, crap that out! I don’t know whether to kill or punch you. She’s my daughter!"We caught his eye. "Do you really love her?"
"Absolutely," I said.
"Take care of her, and watch her and the baby, then."
I dried my tears and said, "I will, thank you."
"He’ll definitely," mom said.
Dad said, "You bet he will." as Mom looked over his shoulder.
Gerald gulped before eyeing me. "Trina, I’ve loved you for a long time, and I’d want to marry you. Together, we’ll build a home for our unborn child. Will you marry me?"
I reiterate "yes." I was expecting this. He pulled a ring from his pocket and put it on my finger as I began to cry again. It was magnificent, with a diamond band surrounding a larger, less flashy band. As the cheering started, Gerald pulled me into his arms.
He kissed me and whispered his love. Before another kiss, he whispered he’d always loved me. We stepped back and admired the onlookers. My parents’ faces stuck out the most when they raised their glasses in a toast.
"Gerald, I’ll return your job. Don’t expect special attention from me, but I like family football. I still think we’ll win." Dad said while we stared at him. Gerald winked.
"I’ll keep you anyway," I told him.
"I planned to take time off with you, go on vacation once the baby is born, and start a business with a friend," Gerald said.
"I want to be home with you. You’ve guided the team so far this year, and I’ll be busy with the baby afterward. For now, we’re stuck. In a few months, we’ll travel." I urged Gerald to kiss me.
Dad sighed as I kissed Gerald again. I was optimistic. I knew we loved each other and our baby.
