Billionaire's Pleasure-Chapter 16: Unexpected Moment
Stella’s POV
Is there a term for what I’m talking about?
Embarrassed and humiliated, flushed and uncomfortable, abashed and disconcerted, shamefaced and chagrined, awkward and self-conscious, agitated and sheepish, upset and discomposed, flustered and distressed are not sufficient emotions to describe the situation.
That is not how I am feeling right now, as I stand on inside of Alice’s front door, attempting to figure out what is going on. Sebastian kisses me one second, and the next, he brings desires to the surface that I was completely unaware of. Essentially, he is exorcising one minute and then exorcising the next minute.
I’m getting out of his house.
I’d like to vanish and spend a year hiding in my old room, whichever is preferable. In addition, there is the suspension of disbelief. What’s the big deal about being a little inexperienced, you might wonder. All right, so it’s been completely undisturbed, but so what. He was under no obligation to treat me as if I were garbage.
Then I take a deep breath and make my way up the main staircase to the second floor, locking the front door behind me. My first stop is the cats’ room, where I find them soundly asleep. I then proceed to the kitchen. In my room, I undress again and collapse into bed, grateful that the cats behaved themselves while I was away from home.
Finally, the day must come to an end!
I am aroused by the sound of a loud banging on a closed door. In part, this is due to the fact that I’m exhausted, but it is also due to the crusty crud that formed on my face as a result of the mascara that I didn’t remove before dragging my sorry ass to bed. When they finally open their doors, the first thing I notice is that it’s still dark outside my bedroom window. I take my phone out of my pocket to see what time it is.
For the first time, my palms come into contact with the bare, cool surface of the nightstand. The alarm clock is the only thing that can be found on the nightstand. Crap. This means that Sebastian’s phone is still most likely in his jeans pocket. His presence is virtually breaking down the front door, as far as I can tell from his actions. My imagination conjures up a picture of him standing there, his phone dangling from his fingers, disgusted that there is still a trace of me in his apartment, and I laugh.
The bathrobe I’m wearing over my bra and underwear comes off as I run down the stairs. I take a deep breath as I prepare myself for meeting Sebastian so soon after his abrupt rejection the previous night.
As soon as the door opens, grab the phone from his open palm. "Thank you," I say quickly, not waiting for him to say anything before shutting the door behind me and walking away. But I’m not as quick as I should be. Sebastian’s foot has become stuck in the doorway of the house. As I move my gaze from his foot up his body to his face, I sway my head to one side a little bit. "Is there anything else I can do to help you?"
"Why did you take such a long time to tell me?" he screams. In fact, I’m no longer ashamed; instead, I’m furious. "All of this was an error, don’t get me wrong. It’s as if it never even happened. If I owe you any money as a result of Luca’s actions, please tuck a note with the amount owed under the door and close it. Eventually, I’ll come up with a way to cover the expense. Sorry for the delayed response. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience. You know I’m in desperate need of sleep right now, so if you could just step away from the door for a moment that would be wonderful."
Sebastian removes his foot from the ground, but he does not completely walk away. As I close and lock the door, he remains in the room, staring at me with a curious sparkle in his eyes as I close and lock it. He could be intrigued right now, but I’m not one to be intrigued. It took away all of his allure to treat me like I was some sort of an outcast because I was a virgin country girl, and that was the end of him.
I march up to Alice’s supply closet, which is adjacent to the kitchen, my rage boiling to the surface and bursting to the brim with rage. I look around for anything that might be useful for securing the balcony. I run my fingers over a long piece of plastic wrapping it on a top shelf in the pantry. By pulling it forward, I am able to locate exactly what I am looking for. Reinforced cable tie-wraps for added strength.
Why Alice has these supplies in her possession is completely beyond my comprehension. While walking over to the sliding doors, I take note of the width of the space between the two doorknobs. Luca has mastered the art of opening them. Using these tie wraps will suffice, and I will no longer be forced to look at Sebastian’s face.
For the foreseeable future, I’ll be staying at this location.
In order to join the handles together, a tie-wrap is looped around each and fastened with a third tie-wrap. Afterward, I pull hard on each end, almost giddy with excitement as the tiny plastic teeth engage and tighten until the doors won’t budge even an inch. Since there’s no way this is going to come undone, I add three more sets of handles just for good measure. If Luca tries to chew it, I’ll have plenty of time to stop her before she can get out of the house.
After retrieving my phone from the entryway, I return to my bed, satisfied with my accomplishment. My eyes close again and it’s nearly four o’clock in the morning when I open them again. My only wish as I lay down is that the image of Sebastian kneeling between my knees, passionately kissing me, and ready to rob me of my virginity is erased from my memory before I fall asleep.
