Billionaire's Pleasure-Chapter 17: Escaping Again
Stella’s POV
The situation has gotten out of hand with the cats. When I got home from class, they were wonderful, but now everything is in complete disarray. I assume they are acting in this manner because they have been cooped up inside all day. Putting keys into the pocket of my winter coat, and opening the front door to take them to the elevator all seem reasonable at this point.
Luca, Luna, and Tucker all burst through the door and dragged me down the hall before I could even finish locking it. They’re traveling in the opposite direction of the elevators, and they only come to a complete stop in front of Sebastian’s door.
"What the hell is going on with the three of you?" I wonder as I look down at them from above.
Of course, I don’t expect a response, but the dogs begin to respond. Luca’s meowed violently against Sebastian’s door because of the angle at which he stands in relation to the wall. I grab him and pull them with my hands.
’Please, Luca, please, come here,’ I beg because this is the last place I want to be at this particular moment. They don’t make any movement at all. My methods of communication include yelling, whistling, and offering cat foods as bribes. Nothing appears to be working. This is a complete departure from their usual behavior. It turns out that Alice’s door is the one they’re looking for, so I force it open, welcoming them back inside. There’s no way around it. They aren’t even making any movement. They’ve become even more obnoxious. As I return to their sides, I take Luca in my arms, intending to bring them all back to Alice’s condo one by one as I did before. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Any means necessary to get them away from Sebastian’s front door will be employed. Sebastian’s door, on the other hand, is being yanked away from Luna, who meowed at me. What in the world is going on with these cats?
She looks as if she doesn’t understand what I’m saying, so I reassure her that everything will be fine. The cats will be fine, I promise I’m not sure what’s wrong with them, but I’ll take them all to their room and feed them, and then they’ll be fine."
Then I grab Luna and try to convince her to come with me. She finally starts to calm down, so I let her.
Luna isn’t making any movement at all. Luna doesn’t seem to be moving at all?
It’s a strange situation. She’s the laid-back type who prefers to go with the flow, but she appears to have developed a soft spot for Sebastian’s condo as well? I’m at a loss for what to do next, but it appears that fate has made up its mind for me. Sebastian opens the door then Luca suddenly meowed when he saw Sebastian.
The wind whips through my hair as if I fall to the ground. The three cats charge at him at that point. When Luna stands on her legs and places her front paws on his legs. In contrast, Tucker is walking around the area, trying to launch himself into Sebastian as quickly as possible.
If Sebastian truly intends to hold me responsible for what Luca did last week, I’m not sure how he intends to accomplish this.
In spite of the fact that my voice has lost its contrition, I say sorry to him in a firm voice, despite the fact that I am truly sorry for what I have done. "To be honest with you, if I had my way, I’d never bring the cats here. I’m not sure what’s wrong with them. This has been going on for about a half-hour, and it hasn’t stopped since. My plans to take them for walks were being finalized when they swung around and came this way, adamant about not leaving your front door. Afterward, you proceeded to open the door."
Something is very wrong with him as he simply stands at the door. It’s more than serious, and even though I can’t pinpoint the source of his distress, I know something is wrong "Is everything okay?" I asked him.
Despite his mutterings, Luca dashes into his entryway and vanishes somewhere in his condo unit, followed by Tucker and then Luna. Could it be that they’ve all lost their ever-loving minds?
"It will take some time, but I will begin with Luca and work on the others. Please accept my apologies once more, Mr. Sebastian, for the inconvenience."
It’s a long walk from one room to the next, but I finally catch up with him. "They’re in here," Sebastian states emphatically.
He stands at the front door with his arms folded across his chest, while I walk past him and over to the side of the leather sofa, I leave him alone. When I reach for Luca, he glares at me and bares his teeth.
This sends a very strong message to me. He is advising me to take a step back before he becomes even more aggressive. Luca catches my eye as I cast a glance over my shoulder. "What in the world is going on?" Sebastian said seriously.
I’m guessing that Sebastian has had enough of us by this point. After entering the room and sitting on the sofa, he reaches over to grab Tucker with both hands. Luna comes up to him from the other side, and Luca climbs into his lap to comfort him. Luna is licking the side of Sebastian’s face while Tucker rests his head on Sebastian’s knee.
Strange, Sebastian doesn’t appear to be this way.
When he starts talking, I’m not sure if he’s referring to me directly or to the cats as a whole.
"What? " I inquire, not looking him in the eyes.
"Please take a seat," he said.
"No need. We will be going to leave now."
As a result of my strong words, I’m preparing myself for how Sebastian will going to respond to me.
