(BL)Alpha Made-Chapter 576: Side story 6
~ Ten years later ~
"Ollie! Flora! Are you up? Come down for breakfast!" Andrew called from downstairs, bouncing as he plated breakfast. Their youngest, Julian, was strapped to Andrew’s chest. He would cry if he wasn’t attached to either Maxwell or Andrew, a small blessing since the twins, when they were the same age, only wanted to be attached to Maxwell.
It had made Andrew rather upset back then, but now he didn’t mind. Little Julie liked Andrew a lot.
"Coming Papa!" Andrew’s heart warmed as he heard his daughter respond. Ollie didn’t, but the boy came barreling around the corner, nearly slamming his body into the open doorway of the kitchen. His mischievous grin telling Andrew all that he needed to know.
"Ollie! How many times have I warned you about sliding in the hallway?" Andrew put on his stern voice but Ollie just beamed at Andrew. He was too cute for his own good, and the boy knew it.
Flora followed in behind him, rolling her eyes dramatically at her seconds younger brother.
"He can’t help being dumb. He’s younger, after all." Flora commented and Ollie fumed. He stuck his tongue out at his sister, and Flora, despite her ’older’ play, stuck her tongue back out at him when she thought her father wasn’t watching.
"Flora." Andrew warned and she gave him a pleading look. Andrew folded, like she knew he would and he shook his head, sighing. They were his children, after all. The two siblings moved to the dining room where Andrew had already set up their breakfast.
He now had to move to make sure Maxwell came and ate as well.
"You two start, I’ll go grab your Dad." He ordered, finishing packing up their lunches for the day. Andrew wiped his hand on his apron before he moved towards the office. Maxwell had woken up early today to get some work done so that he could attend the very important meeting today.
It was parent teacher day at Flora and Ollie’s school today. Not only that, it was the one where the parents could attend school and observe how their children were doing in class. Andrew had told Maxwell weeks in advance, and Maxwell was not about to miss the chance to show up the parents at his kids’ school. Maxwell was a rather petty man, and he liked letting others know how much he adored his children.
He was not about to let work get in the way of him being able to do so. Not that he should really worry about how the public perceived him and his company. There wasn’t a soul in the city that didn’t know that Maxwell was an amazing boss and a loving, caring father.
Maxwell had been working very very hard in the last ten years.
Andrew, who already adored his husband before, had fallen deeper and deeper in love with his wonderful husband as time had gone on. His dedication towards those who were omegas like him was intense and something that Andrew fully supported. It felt that as soon as Maxwell was able to come off of paternity leave he had thrown himself full force into making the world a better place for omegas.
It was only spurred on by the fact that the cases against the Abrahams had been public, messy, and terrible for true alpha P.R. Not that Andrew gave a fuck. Every time that the case would be broadcasted, Andrew would notice how the media would follow Andrew around as he did his shopping, going to school and taking care of his twins.
He was walking, talking proof that ’not all true alphas’ were bad. Andrew didn’t mind, but he was the first person to tell others to protect themselves and use the products that his wonderful husband was coming up with. He knew first hand how bad true alphas could be, how bad alphas could be, and omegas and betas should protect themselves.
Andrew had unknowingly become rather famous without his own personal awareness. His gentle smile, his fierce love for his husband and the way that all kids loved him had turned him into a B-list celebrity and he hadn’t really done much.
The media had really loved it when Andrew had been caught with his children, Maria’s children, and Bella. He had promised to watch over the children while the ladies went and took care of some ’personal business’. Andrew had a feeling he knew what that meant, but he wasn’t one to poke his nose into other’s business.
Andrew had two strollers with him, kids running around playing on the playground, and his eyes were glowing amber. He was the picture perfect example of a true alpha male, and the media ate it up.
Maxwell had put up the photo in his office as ’motivation’. It had made Andrew blush like no tomorrow when he saw it. That was years ago now, but it still made Andrew blush just thinking about it.
In the ten years since they’d had their set of twins, Maxwell’s company had exploded. The research route that they had discovered after Maxwell had been marked had been the right path to pursue. They had looked into the nausea from a different angle and the trials for that kind of suppressant had been incredibly successful for regular omegas, and omegas like Maxwell.
He’d gotten several awards for it, but Maxwell made sure that it was the scientists who had worked on that medication that had seen the true recognition. That had only endeared him more to the omegas that practically worshiped him like a god for giving them opportunities.
Richard’s research had also blossomed from that information as well. Turns out, alphas and true alphas needed that level of recognition as well. With that breakthrough, Richard started looking at all of the research that they had done with omegas in a different light. Plus, with Andrew’s fame, it meant that getting volunteers had become a lot easier.
Research for alphas and true alphas had improved so much that Maxwell was able to buy out the other building next door to them and they tore it down, rebuilding it in a similar fashion to their main building but also putting a fresh research division in the basement and that became the alpha research department.
Richard got a significant promotion, becoming the head researcher of the alpha division. At first, those who didn’t know Richard thought it was because he was related to Andrew, but that was quickly dismissed when they were met with the giant omega who could dwarf some of the alphas that came in for testing.
Ellis remained as Maxwell’s head secretary. A strong, powerful omega in his own right, he was able to take on a workload that would take 4 other secretaries to replace him, all while raising his precious son. Ellis truly benefitted from having a daycare in the building, and everyone, researchers, sales reps, everyone loved little Danny.
Andrew knew that the Gates made cute babies. That was obvious, and when mixed with Ellis’ pretty genes? There was no way he wasn’t going to come out and ensnare everyone’s heart. It was made even worse when he needed glasses young and the combination of the sweet puffy baby cheeks and the little glasses?
It was too much for most people to bear. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Ellis and Richard did end up having another child, but this time, Richard was the one who carried. Andrew didn’t ask questions about how their relationship worked, but Ellis was a blushing man whenever he looked at his bigger, more stoic omega partner, pregnant with their child.
Andrew had a feeling the look was similar to what Maxwell would have given him if Andrew had also been an omega.
Ben and Amir hadn’t had any more children after their two lovely daughters. Amir had wanted more, but his body hadn’t allowed for anything else. It was a tragic story, one that was still a hard pill for Amir to swallow, but he made do by being the best Dad he could be to his children. Ben also made sure that Amir didn’t feel too down about it.
Ben’s work was also taking off. Since the gap in the market that the Abraham family had left, the Beckett family had swung full force into that market to practically erase all traces of the Abraham family. With Andrew, Nicole and Noah’s blessing, of course.
That did mean that finally, Thomas had officially retired, handing over full control of the company over to his sons, making Maxwell’s workload a little heavier, but not enough that he couldn’t handle it. Ben grew under the weight of the work on his shoulders, becoming a better businessman than he already was, and a better man. Will stayed on the medical side of things.
He didn’t fully cut himself out of the family, and would never do something like that, but he made himself very clear to both Maxwell and Ben. He wanted nothing to do with that side of the family business. After his time with Rue and everything that happened after, he realised that he had a lot of work to do on himself, and for others. He was going to dedicate himself to getting better, being better, and he felt that taking over the hospital and any other hospitals that they decided to open would be on him.
Ben and Maxwell were in agreement with Will if that was what they wanted. After all, he was their brother, and he was trying to get better.
It took Will two more hospitals and 8 years before he finally decided that maybe he was ready for love. Or, in Andrew’s opinion, the Doctor that he was dating decided that he was ready for it.
He was a spunky man, in his early 30’s, who had been recruited to work at the main hospital where Will did most of his work out of. He was the head of the hospital and while he had mostly taken himself off of the roster for surgeries and things of that nature, he would still step in if help was needed.
That was how he met the beta Doctor who had taken one look at Will’s scruffy face and decided that Will belonged to him. He had pursued Will for a while, even getting into a huge spat in the middle of the hospital that had felt right out of a t.v. drama, but in the end, he broke through to Will’s heart.
It was sweet, made even sweeter when Rue, who still came to visit with his husband since the Beckett family was still his family, had met and approved of the beta Doctor in secret. Will hadn’t known that they had met, since Rue had run into him at the cafe without any ulterior motives.
Rue was still a quiet but pretty man, and the Doctor was a Doctor. They were too friendly for their own good and Rue’s first comment was that Will needed someone like that in his life. Someone who would push and push back against his stubbornness.
Now, all Will had to do was propose, but that was something that the man was too embarrassed to bring up around his family, even if they were circling him like a damn shark. Luis really wanted to see all of her sons in long term, committed relationships. She didn’t care who they brought home as long as they were happy, healthy, and well loved.
Luis would have even accepted a gangster if it made her child happy. Thomas...a little less so, but he and his wife were in agreement. They just wanted their sons to be happy.
Speaking of sons and siblings, Nicole and Elijah had tied the knot and had some babies of their own. They had moved away about 4 years prior for a promotion for Elijah but that didn’t mean that they didn’t call all the time. Nicole was flourishing after her terrible accident, and Elijah was always watchful, always cautious.
Even their kids knew that Nicole was a little more delicate then Elijah, but they loved their Mommy as much as they loved their Daddy. Elijah was a happy Dad, and Nicole blossomed after having children. Andrew could not be happier for them. Noah’s happiness came...a little late, just like Will’s.
