[BL]The Hero and his Party Won't Let Me Go-Chapter 170: Ch : Throwing a Tantrum - Part 1
"So, you want to tell me that Companion Shuu has disappeared and no one has any idea where he went? Do you all take me for a fool? Tell me who is responsible for this before you all end up losing your lives."
Prince Yunn rubbed his forehead at the news.
Today was not a good day for him. Not only had he lost contact with Kaiden, but he had also lost sight of Shuu now. At this rate, a disaster was bound to happen.
The guards noticed Prince Yunn’s anger and quickly bowed to him as a show of submission.
"S-Sir, that is not the case at all. I-I did not realize... I mean, I did not mean to..."
The guard stuttered under the pressure.
Prince Yunn might not be as powerful as Emperor Kaiden, but he was certainly a strong person. As the second-in-charge to the throne, he had a lot of authority as well.
Usually, he did not get angry, and the guards did not have to worry about him. But today was not such a day. Today, Prince Yunn was beyond angry, and everyone felt scared.
"Find Shuu at all costs before my brother comes back. This is not a suggestion but an order. Do you all understand?"
Prince Yunn asked, and the guards quickly nodded and ran away.
Seeing them run away made Prince Yunn rub his forehead in agitation.
He knew that it was not the guards’ fault that Shuu had disappeared, but it certainly felt like it was their fault...
"Don’t... antagonize the guards too much. Shuu is not a child. If he does not come back, then it is his own responsibility. We cannot do anything about it."
Princess Danielle reminded Yunn as she sat beside him. Her presence was like a soothing balm over his senses, and he relaxed slightly.
Her words stung a little, but Yunn knew that she was only saying it for his own sake. So with a frustrated sigh, he rubbed his forehead and gave her a glance.
"I know. But my instincts are telling me that it was not Shuu’s decision to leave like this. He would not have left the kids behind, even if he was looking to run."
Yunn told Princess Danielle, and it was her turn to go quiet.
She had known Shuu for as long as Yunn had, so she knew that he was right. Shuu would never run away and leave the kids behind.
The correct thing to do would be to try and find Shuu and see if he needed to be rescued. But Princess Danielle felt conflicted. She did not want to find Shuu because his absence was the best time for Lady Canarie to seduce the Emperor and bring him back to her side.
’Tsk, I wouldn’t have to do all this if Yunn just married me. That way, I would have legal and ethical grounds to say no to my father...’
But of course, reality and fantasy were different things, and Princess Danielle was not going to get her wish so easily.
They had just finished discussing this topic when the sudden silence around them was broken by a loud bang. It caused the pair to quickly get up and look toward the door. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
It did not even take a few seconds for a guard to come running in with a pale face.
"P-Prince Yunn, something happened-! Something big has happened-! We cannot handle it ourselves. P-Please, come with me..."
The guard huffed but did not say what had spooked him so badly.
Just looking at him, one could tell that the guard had run a long way without stopping. This, combined with the loud explosion, caused Prince Yunn to act immediately.
"Of course. Hurry up and tell me what happened. Danielle, you stay here. I will go and check-"
"No, I will come with you as well. Don’t you dare leave me behind."
The princess walked out of the room before Prince Yunn could stop her. With a heavy sigh, he followed her, only to come across more guards.
As they pushed past them to get to the center, the other guards flinched but then gave them relieved looks upon seeing them.
"What is going on here?"
Yunn asked as he looked at the center of the circle, where Prince Caelis stood. He was currently hiding Rin behind him, and his body vibrated with agitation. He was glaring at Lady Canarie, who was cowering in front of him.
"Don’t touch-! Stay away-!"
Caelis’s voice was low but filled with threat. He looked ready to attack if the lady came any closer.
"I-I am sorry... I did not mean to... I just wanted to get closer to you... but is that not even allowed?"
Lady Canarie asked in a low voice. She tried to invoke sympathy from the people around her, but it did not work.
"No-! I don’t like you. Stay away. I want Shuu!"
That loud yell was accompanied by an energy blast that pushed people back. The guards went flying, and they no longer tried to get close to the prince.
It was clear that the prince was dangerous, and people quickly exchanged looks to decide what to do with him.
The guards signaled to each other to knock the child out, but no one dared to get close to him.
Finally, a guard sighed and decided to use his gift.
"I am sorry, Prince Caelis. But this is for your own good. You are getting too agitated and even attacking Lady Canarie, which is not good. Please, forgive me-"
The guard recited before he let his power loose. But he was only knocked back by Prince Caelis’s power instead.
The kid was getting out of control, and he could hurt himself at this rate.
"Caelis...? Alright? Shuu...?"
Rin asked in a low voice, and that only made Caelis even angrier. At this rate, no one was going to survive.
"Caelis, listen to me-"
"Y-You monster-! How can you do this to me? Don’t you know who I am? I am the one chosen by the goddess to be your father’s partner. You can’t treat me like this-!"
Caelis immediately turned to look at Lady Canarie, and her chest felt like it was being crushed under pressure.
