Bloodmancer in the Jurassic Era: I use my Dinos to seduce Human mates-Chapter 225: To flee, or not to flee
The decision to make clones of himself was a tough one.
Knowing himself, Jimmy knew that regardless if he made one clone or himself, or a thousand, they’d all want to chase the same things that he did.
He didn’t really care about his title as the tribe’s Chief, he could live without it, but he was worried about the rest of the things, or people he considered his.
For example, each clone would want to lay claim over his girlfriends, and if there were a thousand clones who’d want to lay claim over them, the situation would devolve into a bloodbath where the clones would slaughter each other before they could get to his girlfriends to begin with. That wouldn’t be productive, not one bit, so he was hoping to reason with them, assuming it was possible to reason with them, if he popped out a few hundred cones.
Jimmy only had a mere ten-percent mana in his pool, which wasn’t nearly enough to ’tame’ his clones, or lobotomize them, as he liked to call it, and since he didn’t have enough time to regenerate his mana properly, to at least make one clone cooperate with him, he was stuck with the notion of reasoning with them.
Jimmy sighed, stood up, climbed on top of a Compy clone, and then headed towards the home cavern. Gaark and Anna followed after him. He didn’t tell them his plan, but regardless, they didn’t want to leave him alone right now, so they climbed on top of a couple of Compy clones as well, and followed suit.
"God... I can’t believe I was outsmarted by a bunch of cavemen..." He muttered, "Is outsmarted the right word? The Chiefs just spammed a bunch of their hairy ass motherfuckers towards all sides of the grasslands. That’s not strategic, right?"
Jimmy had a hard time accepting the fact that he was losing the battle against mere cavemen. It was hard on his conscience, especially since he was supposed to be the smartest person around here. Well, him and Anna, considering that the both of them came from an unusual background.
This failure was hitting him like a truck, and as he walked through the cavern, he couldn’t help but imagine how badly they would’ve lost if he hadn’t bashed through the bunker, and discovered the cloning room. The Compy, and ape clones made a major contribution in the prior battle, that went without saying, and so if the clones hadn’t helped, he and his tribe would’ve been annihilated for good.
"I guess I only prevented the inevitable," He sighed, "Those fuckass cavemen don’t even know what they’re fighting for, I know they don’t, because I sure as hell don’t fucking know either..."
The grasslands weren’t as great as the enemy saw it to be. It was just a flat land, mostly surrounded by the rocky mountain, and the forest. It was not supposed to be as interesting to the enemy as it was right now, as the fact of the matter was, with the current numbers the enemy had, they would have invaded the grasslands a long time ago, if they wanted to. The grasslands weren’t nearly as interesting before, at least, not until those giant humans attacked, cut the tribe’s numbers more than in half, and in turn, created a lot of intrigue.
Jimmy traced the entirety of this calamity, of this war, back to the giants, and the Field Runners who fled, and snitched on what was going on in the grasslands. He put most of the blame on the Field Runners, because if they hadn’t run their mouths as much as they did across other tribes, he wouldn’t have to deal with a small army of one-thousand cavemen who were going to step into his backyard around twelve hours from now!
"I swear to God... whatever God is listening to me this time..." He grunted, "If I ever catch a Field Runner, I’ll throw him between the alien gorillas, and get them butt-fucked."
Jimmy was upset, and he had all the reasons to be upset, but the ride down to the bunker was long, even with the aid of the Compy clone he brought along, so on his way down, he managed to calm down a little bit.
Not only did he manage to calm down, he also made a good assessment of what options he and his tribe had.
One of the options was simple by nature, and it would prevent casualties for a long time. This option was for him, and his people to flee, and abandon everything they achieved, and sacrificed in order to protect their home!
Jimmy would have to abandon the bunker too, and most of the technology within it. He’d have to kiss the grasslands goodbye, cross the forest, and live close to the sea with his tribe.
This option wasn’t so bad, in fact it would even be beneficial, because it was relatively easy to put the whole tribe on the back of dinosaurs and ditch their home cavern, and not to mention, the sea was close by once they crossed the mountainous forest close to their home.
He remembered Anna saying that there weren’t as many predators over there, on the other side, so he and the tribe would live peacefully for the rest of their days.
Not to mention, according to what Almara, the shapeshifter said, Jimmy and the tribe would have access to the underworld if he and his tribe fled towards the seashores. He wasn’t aware of its exact location, but supposedly, there was a large entrance to the underworld, somewhere close to the sea.
He could keep himself busy in the underworld for months at least, and explore that problem with the pyramids his shapeshifter friends had.
When he considered all of those factors, fleeing wasn’t a bad idea. He would have to endure the dirty looks of either his father, or the elders for a while, but it was otherwise a good option.
As for the other two options. They weren’t as simple, but both of them offered a hypothetical solution, an answer to the mass invasion they were about to suffer.
Both of those options were available to him, as soon as he stepped into the bunker.
